    Joe Montana is so down to earth. I know Tom Brady was amazing but Joe Montana won games with his arm, mind, feet, nerves of steel, and heart. He did things that were just magical, gave up his body and won 4 SB's in nine years. Too me he is still the GOAT.

      Different era. When Joe played the D could destroy a QB and no flags.

    • @TedlinksChannel

      Joe was great but in the end, he only won 4 Conference Championships, and the 4 Super Bowls. Brady won 10 Conference Championships and 7 Super Bowls, MVP of 5 of them. Yes they could hit the QB in the 80's but there also wasn't free agency and Joe didn't lose his best players every few years to other teams.

      Look/Search - Footballoutsiders stats Nfl team-efficiency 2020
      2001: The offense went from 25th in 2000 to 6th in scoring offense
      2003: The defense allowed 29 points to Jake Delhomme and the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl
      2004:The only time the defense legitimately can claim credit for winning the Super Bowl
      2007: The defense gives up the David Tyree catch in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl after Tom Brady took the lead
      2011: Tom Brady's worst defense in his career
      2014: Tom Brady came back from the largest deficit (at the time) in Super Bowl history against the legion of boom throwing 2 touchdown passes in the 4th quarter
      2016: Tom Brady came back from down 28-3 in the Super Bowl while playing a perfect 2nd half
      2017: The defense allows 41 points to Nick Foles
      2018: The defense allowed 29.5 PPG through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs and it took Tom Brady averaging 34 PPG through the first 2 rounds to even make the Super Bowl
      if the defense was the reason for half the wins? Then how does Brady have 5 Superbowl MVP's 1 Edelman 1 Branch. Maybe of Brady's 2 Superbowls the defense was probably the main reason they won. Maybe 2 Superbowls, with a ratio of (60%def-40%off.). However even then Brady has 6 game winning drives in the 4th quarter or OT in ALL Superbowl wins. That's all time ALL TIME clutch. If you want to get technical he got the lead or tie late in the 4th quarter of ALMOST EVERY SUPERBOWL he played in. 9 of 10!!

      Not necessarily. Remember the rules are the same for all the QBs regardless of the era. But the fact that playing QB was a lot tougher back then makes him the GOAT in my eyes. People will argue that it's Brady, but Brady started twice as many games and played for 7 seasons longer and that's probably due to having far more protection from the rules. What really impressed me about Joe was his accuracy... just watch the Denver SB... every pass was in the bread basket, including the bombs to Jerry and John in full stride.

    • @mdub2000
      @mdub2000 Рік тому +5

They are both the most clutch, or clutchest, if you will, quarterbacks that ever played the game, with Manning certainly in the running during the season. It's a tough league.
