The original FF7 game on the PS1 was my childhood. I couldn’t even read at the time when I first saw this game, but I remember watching my older brother play the whole story as a kid and I loved every moment of it. The gameplay was much slower than this one (all turn-based), the graphics were low-quality 3D pixels compared to today’s graphical standards, and there was absolutely no voiced-dialogue. However, this was the best RPG game to have come out for its time and it completely revolutionized the whole RPG-genre of video games everywhere around the world as a new standard to live up to. I’m underselling its impact, but FF7 has really been huge to the evolution of video games. So that’s why you’ll notice that this game tends to draw in a crowd. I’ve played a lot of Final Fantasy games, and while each of them are all good in their own ways, this one arguably has the best storyline, greatest music, and the most amount of memorable characters. Love him or hate him, Sephiroth will always be iconic and is the most recognized antagonist out of all Final Fantasy games. If you were to say the words “Villain of Final Fantasy” without describing anyone, he’s the guy who will always popup in every gamer’s mind. This is obviously a remake/rebirth of the game, so some of it has been enhanced or changed, but it’s all still really good. I hope you’ll enjoy it and I really look forward to seeing more of your gameplay in the future.

FF VII is my fav in the series. My wife and I haven't beaten Rebirth yet but we did beat the first part of the remake, and we got addicted to Baldurs Gate III 😂

So Marz you finally came to play FF7 REBIRTH!!! Well if you loved part 1 then you're in for one HELL of a ride with this one! Also if you want the whole story about Zack and how he knows Cloud and Aerith you should play FF7 Crisis Core Reunion.
At the end of Remake when they beat the Fate Arbiter something happened that created a timeline or world apart, where Zack, Aerith boyfriend that passed away, actually survived. Initial scene is that timeline or alternate world.
Not sure if you've played the original but it seems you haven't, so all the odd things won't make too much sense till much later, have fun, also the piano parts are some of my fave to play
To know about Zack (The guy from the begining) you need to play, or watch a resume of Final Fantasy Reunion. It tells the event that happened before FFVII Remake
