Jace is one I didn't think of for talion, considering the main weakness to thoracle for the deck is the fear that theyre gonna make you draw off talion in response.
Good job Huff! I have been trying to experiment with diff cedh or maybe even budget cedh(?) I like the interaction in the more competitive format. Every time I play I learn so much more. Seeing Huff learn and having the same reactions as me is really cool to watch and learn.
As someone who plays a lot of Sythis stax, I can tell you that while Sentinel is a common grab don't ever sleep on enchantress players grabbing Seedcradle Witch as it makes infinite mana at 5 enchantments including the Sanctum Weaver and being able to sac the captain to shut off responses is really strong.
Awesome games! Was hoping to see Ellivere but I don’t know if you guys include set precon commanders in these videos. I’m too obsessed with brewing her right now haha. Talion definitely seems like it has legs but I’m glad the deck out thing came up. Hadn’t even considered that. Great video thanks guys!
@@xxthevampirateI disagree man! I’ve been playing a version of Rebels list for testing. While I won’t be building it as it’s not actually better than Winona - what I’ve seen is much stronger than Yenna (imo). Being able to pump the stats up on all your hatebears then draw when they connect is pretty dece. Yenna’s doubling up on an important stax piece is cool but the only use we really saw in the game has the same problem as all stax right now. When it actually matters your opponents will interact. It’s 6 mana over 2 turns to do so. I don’t see that having any staying power in the meta. The only other thing I’ve seen people do with Yenna involves doubling auras and making her big which I don’t think belongs at a cede table. Just my opinion though you could totally be correct!
really good games, part of the nature of competitive is just how important the commander is to what your doing is reliant on whether or not you need the commander on field. Hardly ever saw Yenna, and Rowan hit field only for the game to end on the next players turn. Still really great games. i would had thought there'd be more haste effects in the Rowan deck.
Also just brewed one and as more of a casual player I’m really curious to hear thoughts on it in cEDH. Regardless she seems like a very fun and powerful mono-red commander!
I am seriously thinking about doing a Rowan list.... red (and rakdos in general) have been getting A LOT of support with some good stuff for spell slinging... Haven't watch the video yet but I can tell this is gonna be awesome! Keep up the good games
Posted on previous post/vids of my progress with this deck & Seeing how Greta was played gave me so many ideas on how to speed her up. Example is the Eldritch Evolution to look for peregin took or confectioner !!
As the guy who's trying to start Hawiian shirt Friday's at work, I LOVE Dylans shirt Edit: "Blue farm should play sheoldred" that's just Opus Thief but with extra steps
My cedh pod usually has 2-3 stax players so my group usually has more grindy games but sheoldred has been a great card in a stax board gaining life with tynma as well as other random draw effects like library and archivist
I converted Tayam to the Greta combo, and use samwise/Familiar combo as well. The deck feels actually easier to pilot when the gameplan isn't generate infinite Tayam activations, yet still has that capability. The decks ability to not give a fuck about any removal has been wonderful average win on 4, so kind of slow. That's why we play stax though
In the beginning when Polluted Delta is cracked to find a bayou for Deathrite shaman I don't see why you wouldnt go underground sea so that you have access to three colors (including Blue!) because of deathrite shaman getting you green. I know he pops down an exotic orchard and LED next turn but it's the little things
I built Rowan and I love playing her. I need to add defense grid, Orcish bowmaster, and a few other cheapies. I knew sheoldred and Vilis would be massive value engines in Rowan and this proved it lol
Great games as always! Could you make more videos of Jeska and Ishai? It's been my favorite deck since getting into CEDH. I'm Currently 10-4-2 locally against a variety of decks and I'm always looking for more updates and gameplay
Love the shirt Dylan!! (And again, it’s not “Academy Manufactur-er” idk if it’s an inside joke or ya’ll are still mispronouncing it😂) either way, love the content
Loved seeing Demonic Thoracle getting stopped in game 2. In a pod where they’re the only person playing Blue, and with lower power level than normal, it was already disappointing to see one Thoracle win. Two would’ve been so ugh
I love fast paced magic as much as the next cEDH guy but when you start to lose track of almost everything going on maybe y'all should slow down just a tad n smell the roses 🌹😅
Top level cedh guys always say Angel's Grace is bad, but I love running it as a pet card, same as Trickbind. Sure they can't protect your win - but smashing the Thoracle player is so satisfying, and in that situation they're so much better than a counter.
I love some EDH and this channel but one thing I never get is how this shows the best cEDH commander in a set. Dimir winning solely because of Dimir. Obrya in theory is just as good solely cause of Dimir. Same combos for each respective color pie. Great vid and entertaining as always though
In my opinion, Rowan should be taken to a "pay 30 life, torment hellfire everyone" style of play. I made a deck based on that, and it kills everyone on turn 4 with only a little luck. And I don't even have fast mana and the best tutors in the deck
Bloodchief ascension is a very solid card, gets live very fast even without Talion on the board. Mindcrank might be too much. It's dead without bloodchief ascension and fuels underworld breach. Ascension is a good value and taxing piece that can really put people in tight spots by itself
Great games guys , love the content . I know it takes time but seeing two games in one video is the bees needs. Keep up the great work 👍
It’s the bees knees 😂
@@BVBridesifyer dang :( lol , thanks I'll leave it there for comical purposes.
Who knows, maybe two games in one video is just what the bees want? @@BVBridesifyer
Huff is already on his way to being a great cEDH player, he already made a classic play: fetching into a know opposition agent ;)
Jace is one I didn't think of for talion, considering the main weakness to thoracle for the deck is the fear that theyre gonna make you draw off talion in response.
Honestly didn’t notice anything wonky with the table before you pointed it out 😅 great episode as always guys!
I didnt notice either.
Good job Huff! I have been trying to experiment with diff cedh or maybe even budget cedh(?) I like the interaction in the more competitive format. Every time I play I learn so much more. Seeing Huff learn and having the same reactions as me is really cool to watch and learn.

Talion definitely seems like it has legs but I’m glad the deck out thing came up. Hadn’t even considered that. Great video thanks guys!
they do but Ellivere is not good at all in Cedh. The other enchantment commander is much better as seen in the games.
@@xxthevampirateI disagree man! I’ve been playing a version of Rebels list for testing. @@xxthevampirateFun fact, Ellivere did better than Talion in Mox Masters Yesterday. 😉
Great games. Surprised Rowan isn't on Tibalt's Trickery, I thought for sure that was going to be the consult target.
Thank you for the amazing content! The end of the second game was sweet!
Ngl I love the potato camera.

Any thoughts on Imodane, the Pyrohammer? I brewed a cEDH ish version and wanted to know y’all’s thoughts!

So nice of the Play to Win boys to drop a video while they're on vacation visiting 240p. So selfless, so brave
But seriously, nice video as always
Nice games. And man that Talion kill making him draw was nice!
I love watching your guy's videos, and I need my first cEDH pod ever to have Cam and Dylan in it. That's the goal.
Sheoldred is played in Kirrk as a combo piece, you just showed it being good in yet another deck 😅 it's like orcish in crack, it's great
Rowan kinda feels like "Kirrk but with summon sickness, and red"
@@SoojArt certainly feels that way at times honestly
You are not only my favorite mtg content creators, but my favorite UA-camrs period. Love you guys ❤

You guys are amazing. Love everything yall do. Thank you
YESSS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!
Calling “dibs!” on wishclaw talisman is strong play
the c in cEDH stands for crooked
Dylan, that line in game 2 for the win was saucy, and I’m all about it
As the guy who's trying to start Hawiian shirt Friday's at work, I LOVE Dylans shirt
Edit: "Blue farm should play sheoldred" that's just Opus Thief but with extra steps
This bad quality is premium quality
Dylan looking different in 240p stretched to 1920x1080 in a new room with a new camera
Great first cedh game, Huff
My cedh pod usually has 2-3 stax players so my group usually has more grindy games but sheoldred has been a great card in a stax board gaining life with tynma as well as other random draw effects like library and archivist
There was such heroic fanfare music those first few turns.
That game 2 was so cool! Good content
0:49 Dylan n Cam busted out the Nintendo DSI to record 😂
Never thought I'd see Kermit playing Magic! Good game ❤❤
Good stuff, my favorite part of the video is how THE BOYZ are both apparently sending their videos from a bunker under the ocean at .05fps
I also run Sheoldred in my Rowan deck! The lifegain is great, as well as slowly punishing your opponents for any value engines they have. Great game!
This game really opened my eyes to how good Sheoldred can be, I'm excited to try it out in my black cedh lists!
I converted Tayam to the Greta combo, and use samwise/Familiar combo as well. Self-fulfilling prophecies I love it - also Love that version of Rowan Dylan....Bring on the Apocalypse
nice Retro look of Dylan's face there at the start 🙂
Sick games. Huff should hold back Dauthi for activations next time! :)
Edit: The soundtrack of the second game is wild.
love your 144p camera Cam
*love the 144p cameras from both of you lol

Now I'm sad

That second game win was nuts.
Manufactor/Manufacturer. Fyndhorn/Flynthorn. Never change dudes. Good vid. 🎉
Punishing one of the best actions in cEDH, Drawing, is really efficient and powerful
this last finish was fuucking amazing :D
i really wanna see Ellivere stax i saw a video saying replacing winnota and i feel its not that level but seems good
Dylan looking rather snazzy this intro!
Good job Huff! Great games. Who was raiding the fridge?
Dylan coming in with the Miami Vice vibes
Love the shirt Dylan!! (And again, it’s not “Academy Manufactur-er” idk if it’s an inside joke or ya’ll are still mispronouncing it😂) either way, love the content
Would it really be Play to Win if they pronounced all the cards correctly, though?
Man, that Sheoldred was doin' WURK
wanting to play vilis in a bowmaster's meta. what a mad lad Dylan 🤣
Great ending! Nice synergy there. Too bad you didnt cast Rowan
I haven’t really checked out Sheoldred too much but she slots perfectly into Nekusar haha
Sheoldred is that hot shit. I have her in multiple decks including my new Talion build. Happy to see it!!
nice poster on your wall Cam
That 2nd game is a prime example of cedh is great.
Loved seeing Demonic Thoracle getting stopped in game 2.

The food are their money. The rats are their dollars
Yo those games were fucking awesome
Really cool interactions and lack there of haha
I really wouldn't have noticed it at all, Dylan, but it looks good regardless
Vilis and Sheoldred 🎉 those were great games ❤
Two Games
Punishing cantrips appears to be the new meta
Sylvan safekeeper is often a great target with ranger captain
Dylan’s shirt is so fresh
This huff guy sounds like he has a majestic beard
He does!
LOL cracks food then sacs Ancient Tomb that was great. Just like something I would do
🤣
Dylan you are so gat dayum dapper :)
Awww, Here I was hoping for Hylda
Great games. Need more blue at the table.
I threw together Talion and I feel like it's going to start topping tourneys immediately. Talion feels incredibly powerful.
Just finished in second place(granted that the scoring was wonky) with Talion in a small 30 person cEDH tourney. The deck definitely has potential!
I love fast paced magic as much as the next cEDH guy but when you start to lose track of almost everything going on maybe y'all should slow down just a tad n smell the roses 🌹😅
I'm starting to think orcish bowmaster is a bit of a problem card tbh, just all over the format
It's time for the best episode, gonna need Pizza for this.
That was the most casual game I've seen yall play lol
Top level cedh guys always say Angel's Grace is bad, but I love running it as a pet card, same as Trickbind. Sure they can't protect your win - but smashing the Thoracle player is so satisfying, and in that situation they're so much better than a counter.
THANK YOU!!!
I am here for Magnum PI Dylan😊

damn just started and I'm too stoned for how fast the editing is lmao anyways I think Kinnan will win
In my opinion, Rowan should be taken to a "pay 30 life, torment hellfire everyone" style of play. I made a deck based on that, and it kills everyone on turn 4 with only a little luck. And I don't even have fast mana and the best tutors in the deck
Huff needs to know developing Talion earlier is super important, otherwise the deck falls behind without a draw engine in play.
Next week. What's the best Commander that puts verse counters on itself?
Psst it's Yisan. Come on Dylan, I believe.
What's the best Cedh commander in Wilds (Cast's Drannith in response to title. Nobody play's commander)
Hey! I just bought a Halloween playmat and I really want some skull sleeves - do y’all know when they will be back in stock?
Soon! They have been re ordered
Ok but where did Dylan get that shirt (for research purposes of course)
Your sleeves with the skulls aren't avaialable anymore. Any plan to restock ?
In the process now
Draw for tur…SHEOLDRED!
Is Enchantress an actual archtype in cEDH?
What do you think about bloodchief ascension and mindcrank in Talion?
Bloodchief ascension is a very solid card, gets live very fast even without Talion on the board. Mindcrank might be too much. It's dead without bloodchief ascension and fuels underworld breach. Ascension is a good value and taxing piece that can really put people in tight spots by itself
Do you guys use real magic cards or proxies?
Curious of how yenna is meant to interact with others. She only can be used at sorcery speed and the combo doesn't really seem to need her.
Not food chain is the best deck name Ive heard so far
you guys missed one talion trigger so its would be 3 life missed just for clairifaction
Yes!
LETS GOOOOOO
