The Tucson gem show is the largest gem, mineral and fossil show in the world. The "gem show" is actually about 40 individual shows, spread out across the city of Tucson, Arizona.
The Tucson gem show is an annual event, held every year, since the 1950s. Each individual show has its own schedule, start and end dates. Generally the shows begin opening mid to late January and end mid-February. Vendors and buyers come from around the world to the Tucson gem show. We recommend getting to the shows early, on opening day if possible, to see the best selection of pieces.
The Tucson gem show is free to attend. This is a professional trade show, some shows are wholesale only but most are open to the public, family-friendly and fun for everyone. Many shows have free parking available and some show locations charge for parking, usually around $5 or $10. Remember to check the dates for the shows you want to attend, show dates and times may vary year to year.

Thank you so much Katrina! It's great to see you! We're so happy to share this beautiful world of gems and minerals. 💖💎🥰
It's on my bucket list to go.
There will be a gem and fossil show in my area at Roger's Plaza in Michigan for a few day at the beginning of April. I usually go to that.
Hey , we was watching a video of you and a guy at a show outside with old cactus with holes. 2023. Can you tell me when & where you was.? Thanks
I have never seen or heard of blue amber, it looks spectacular. Are the show that you go to open to the public or just for wholesale / retailers? Loved seeing all those gems, thanks for showing us.
Hi, thank you! This 22nd Street gem show and several other shows during the Tucson gem show are open to the public. There are a few other shows that are wholesale only, where a license is required and the business must be related to gems, jewelry or minerals. The blue amber is interesting isn't it?! It comes from a particular species of extinct trees, the Hymenaea protera.
Hello, where did you get the glass furniture piece behind you in the beginning of the video?
Hi! The display case is from a local store fixtures shop here in Tucson. Michael and I were browsing the used/pre-owned section of the store and found two of these cases on sale. We bought them for displaying our personal mineral collections.
What are the sparkly opals? I can't hear.
Hi Katie! They're Ethiopian opal and pieces with that really exceptional glittering pattern is called "pin-fire". The darker cabochon is an Ethiopian black opal with pinfire. I'm so sorry about the audio, it was pretty loud in the main tent. I plan to invest in a new mic set, so I can mic up the vendors next time.
@christinekobzeff Thank you! Love your content. Always relaxing for me. I heard everything else fine. It's just my ears and that one part! I sometimes have to use subtitles, but even subtitles don't pick up correctly at times.

What are your favorite minerals?
Love your videos!! But...... this one has the least Christine I've ever seen. I miss you.
Hi! Thank you! Oops you're right, I'll have to remember to get on camera in these videos a little more often. I'm so mesmerized by the crystals I forget. 🥰💕🙏
