Jackson, great job. How did you like cycling Specialized Chisel hardtail for the Tour Divide? Looks like a great choice. I would have made the same choice. Sad to hear of your broken wrist. Get well soon.
Great bike!! For how long are u able to stay in the aerobars?Seem painful low. I always put some spacer underneath. Looks weird but makes a difference for the neck. Cheers
Brilliant set up, thanks but do you really need the vest? I personally hate carrying anything on my body other than a super lightweight helmet and glasses.
Hi Jackson! I was very intrigued by this bike, and thought it would be a good solution for my first big bikepacking trip next year across single trails in Peru and Bolivia. However, most people told me this bike is not very suitable, because of the geometry (race oriented) and material (aluminium). what do you think after your experience with this bike? would you recommend it for something like what I have in mind or better to look into other alternatives?
it's a solid bike overall but there are certainly bikes more suited to bikepacking specifically. hard to say what type of terrain you'll be riding there, but I was pleased with it on the Divide and general riding.
I am 5'11"/180cm. Decided on MD as I feel large frames are just a bit too big and like my MTB to be a little more nimble and with a longer stem/reach for similar geometry to a gravel bike. Unconventional I know, but I'm very comfy on it :)
@@intheflownutrition I'm the same height and recently changed my mind from getting medium to large ;-) Will be following Tour Divide, good luck out there and be safe. :-)
Awesome, Jackson... we'll see ya in Banff.

Very fine-tuned bike! Excellent choice of details! God bless you and keep you safe on your Tour Divide ride! Best regards from Sweden! 💯👍👌🙏💖
Very Lochlon Morton inspired.Nice. I tried my inReach mini in front vest pocket and it didn’t track. You need it facing open sky.
Unbelievable! I can’t wait to see the documentary. Good luck and stay safe bud. God speed.
Totally enjoyed your pre-race bike prep presentation. I'm going to follow you as mych as you feel like presenting. Good luck, have fun & stay safe

@@intheflownutrition thank you very much, I will be riding mostly single-trails and off-road, hence was looking for a mtb for bikepacking
Best of luck! What’s the details on the stem…since you have a medium frame, I assume it’s a bit longer than stock?
It's a 90mm -6deg Zipp stem
What dry bag do you have on that tailfin?
It's a Hyperlite dyneema bag
You look like a pretty tall guy :-) and the frame looks like size Medium. Can I ask how tall are you and why you've decided on Medium Chisel frame?
