It's hard to describe what makes Long Beach Island, NJ so special because it's intangible. It's the quaint down to earth charm where everyone begins to feel like a local. You won't find big chain stores on the island, instead mom and pop restaurants and boutiques inject LBI with a sense of community.This island was designed for those who want to pause the clock. I've been spending my summers at Long Beach Island since I was a child (and lived there for a summer after graduation) so I may be a bit bias...but it's my favorite place to vacation!
