I picked up a pack only this morning for 4 quid as the box was damaged! Not sure I'd pay the full price as there isn't a great deal of meat on three of them.

Cheers Gareth great review, They looked good. Little pricey but going straight into my basket. 👍see you tomorrow for another review. Your costing me a fortune 🔮 lol 😝 👍👍👍
Hi Gareth, you called the ribs a treat and that’s just exactly what I would call them. They look delicious, however; I can’t help think there’s not a lot of meat for £8.50 and I don’t really think there’s enough to share? I read one of the foodies suggested a weigh test which I think is a really good idea, if you’ve still got the bones, you can still do one, that’ll tell you what weight of meat you get for the price? I am pleased you did the review as I’ll put them on my list of future treats. All the best pal.
Cheers John, hope your well now bud. Yes they were expensive indeed. A nice treat. Good idea about weighing the meat off the bone. But I don't think I will be getting them for a while looking back. See you Friday pal cheers 🍻🍻
It looks a bit gruesome out of the bag….. £8:50??? I’ve had these thing before and they never measure up for me…. Just remember you’re buying a bag of frozen bones at the end of the day.
i watched the "burnt bits" vid first lol. dead easy to make your own sticky sauce then use with whatever you like. i use honey, ginger, garlic and chilli as a base x
Thanks for yet anther fab review man. Yes these were expensive but you clearly enjoyed them and you looked good with the sauce all over your face, lol! I'm glad you liked them.
just got some yes expensive but I work hard and am fed up with especially as I work in care with covid and around here in my town petrol stations closed no fuel and when they do have any massive queues something about protesters stopping fuel getting out so here in Norfolk that's a big issue so these ribs are a treat can't keep worrying about bills and the like lol.
Big news (For some) Bernard Mathews turkey burgers are back after 6 years, just had a couple and am feeling nostalgic. I think it will get hits if you review them.
As I have said on a different posting of Gareth's the supermarkets seem to have a pretty bloody odd idea of what constitutes a 'serving'. Those 4 ribs would constitute a snack for me (and a bloody expensive snack at that price - although they would be even more expensive where I live -see ,my other post) provided I had something else to go with it. A person would need an awful lot of 'sides' for those 2 ribs to be classed as a serving.
@@SimonTBam Iceland sold those ribs before then took them off sale now back as a new product. Iceland do this a lot. They used to be nearly half the price..Stores are taking the pee now. Using Ukraine and Covid as an excuse

Wow £8.50 is a lot ! But yes they do look good. Garth please will you do the minty lamb shanks from Aldi. Freezer section. They have just gone up in price £599 for two. Just a lot of people live on there own or with a partner ! These are so reasonable for lamb ( which has shot up in price ) I’d really appreciate your feed back. & I do think it will be something you will Really Enjoy 😉 👍
Hi Gaz, £8.50 for 780g including bones. It would have been helpful if you would have weighed them once cooked and then weighed the bones which were left, to see what you were actually getting. Once again can I please strongly recommend that you try Grants Boneless Beef Ribs in Sweet BBQ sauce in a can at £2.75 (until recently £2.50) per can for 392g. So 2 cans will get you 784g without bones for £5.50. A much better deal from Morrisons, than what you were ripped off for by Iceland.
I give it an eight out of ten only because of the price I think that a fiver is more of a fair price. Tescos had beef ribs for a lot cheaper and they were very good indeed.
Hi, Gareth. Thanks for another brill review. The ribs looked fantastic but not many people these days can afford that price. You looked like you were auditioning for the Rocky horror show, with that sauce all over your mouth lol. Keep up the spot on work. Best wishes from Scotland
Gaz u should try iceland chiquitto range I especially enjoy the enchiladas & there burrito bowls very tasty & hot 🔥 there skin on piri piri fries are spot on 2 michelle from Glasgow
At £8.50 a pop, many may be put off but your review does them justice, and perhaps many more will buy them. I hope the producers of these recognise that and give you a free pack as a reward!
Aldi must be rubbing its hands with glee, knowing it could produce a comparable product for a lot less. These cost £4.25 for just two ribs, which are gone in an instant. There is absolutely no way I would consider them for a single second at that price.
There's a very good UA-cam video for Instant Pot ribs millions of viewers. I followed his instructions and they turned out gorgeous, fall off the bone. It involves baby back ribs, apple cider vinegar, apple juice and finally BBQ sauce. Recommended.
You don't need to discard the bones after, boil them up with a quarted onion ( skin on lots of flavour) and simmer for 45mins to an hour. Now strain the pan into a container. You now have stock for fridge or freezer for when you fancy doing some home cooking. Sure it uses power, but having proper stock on hand is worth it, season it or add whole peppercorns when simmering
We ordered in some of the TGI Iceland stuff during lockdown. The ribs were really good. Some of the range "might need improvement". The ribs could be piled up all day long.
Gareth when you say share do you mean one has the meat and the other has the bone lol. I wonder how much meat is actually on the bones in terms of weight?

"But you must find a good restaurant" . This is the important and hard part.. round my way i'd be better off just paying the extra and getting these TGI ones.. must less chance of disappointment!

Ribs look really good but £8.50 is playing on the TGI name. It would be interesting to see how much they are in a TGI restaurant. I can get 2 full pork racks for for £7 at a local butchers outlet. Delicious done in the slow cooker.
Just paying for the TGI franchised name.... Make yer own 👌 😋 The orange stuff in the frozen bag is the fat from the meat proteins which contain a lot of iron, hence the colour... You must cook with it or the meat will dry out 👍

Not digging the price tag. My local Chinese does various flavours of pork ribs for £7.50 and no cooking. For £26.50 they do a set meal for two where the starter includes ribs. Different type of ribs and portion size but just my take on it 😀
If you think the TGI Fridays stuff is dear at Iceland you want to try buying t where I am. There is no Iceland where I live so one of the local supermarkets has an exclusive deal to import Iceland products. So most of the TGI Fridays stuff finds is way over here, however the cost of them is considerably higher. For example the boneless wings which are £3 in Iceland are £3.40 for the Buffalo and £3.50 for the BBQ ones for some odd reason, although they are both £3.00 in Iceland. So if that is £8.50 in Iceland it will probably be £9,00 or £10.00 here. How the local supermarket justify increases in the price of individual items by that much God only knows. I could understand 5 or even 10p extra on an individual product due to transport costs by 40 or 50p is absolutely ridiculous in the extreme. Mind you even McDonalds charge way more here. Thieving bar-stewards......
@@BaldFoodieGuy you and I are both former military men so are probably used to the odd profanity, so I would argue that rather than being shocking, which it is, I think the term f*cking disgusting might be a more apt description. At a time when the cost of living is increasing for everyone having businesses that profiteer from hard working people and using basically crap excuses for doing so is a pretty poor show. I do not begrudge business a reasonable profit margins, but I certainly do not endorse what is essentially legalized theft which is essentially what they are doing.
People are moaning about the price but they're a luxury product and the price is what it is. They probably cost quite a bit to produce. You could cook them yourself and get ribs from the butcher but then you'd need to know how to prepare and cook them. So this takes the hassle out of that. There are people out there with the money to buy these as there are plenty of people who spend £20 a week on takeaway, plenty of people do still have disposable income.
Hi mate I haven’t had any bloody electric for the past nine days due to my key 🔑 being faulty so Scottish bloody power now owe me around £500 compensation 🙄🤦♀️😱😭 Xx

For £8-50 I can buy a huge Filet Steak rather than 4 bones. Grossly overpriced, in Tesco you can get two packs of chilled pork ribs for £7 which would easily feed two people.

There are people out there with the money to buy these as there are plenty of people who spend £20 a week on takeaway, plenty of people do still have disposable income.
yes mate there are people who definitely would pay that for them.
Thought I'd chipped me tooth then !...lol No chance, them railings would cut granite...
haha well they are made out of metal lol 😆
Wow look good but £8:50!!! Mate your crazy paying that lol but you did get me pissing myself about your tooth haha
Haha cheers 👍👍
Hi mate I haven’t had any bloody electric for the past nine days due to my key 🔑 being faulty so Scottish bloody power now owe me around £500 compensation 🙄🤦♀️😱😭 Xx
Oh no I'm so sorry Susie that's terrible.
🏴👏 Oaft a bit pricey mate but they look and sounds amazing. They’re definitely a treat to yourself day dinner 👏🏴
Very tasty Mark. 😋😋👍
Can't think iceland will sell many at that price, suppose for a special night in,, looks bloody nice,, 😋
My thoughts exactly
They have missed the mark with that product. People don’t go to Iceland to spend £8.50 on something that is basically a starter.
hmmm, dont think so for that price. Just think, you could have a curry, a pudding and a four pack of beer for that price.
youve done it again just before me tea lol
Haha woops
I also am not keen on the word SHARE 😂😂just the thought gives me shivers .
haha yes sharing is caring lol
You poor thing, you really looked like you weren't enjoying them. Taking one for the team eh!. 😉👍
haha yes someone has too lol
They look really tasty gareth but £8:50 is far too much coin for me I think I'll stick to the pork ribs from aldi, farmfoods or lidl and they are only about a fiver and there is enough to share 👍👍
Yes was a treat and first time I've had beef rib, but yes expensive.
I get they are beef which is more expensive than pork but £8.50 for what you get seems a bit steep 👍
last pack in my local iceland, someone had opened box so i got them for half price.
I know you only gave them 9.5 but I don't think I've seen you enjoy something as much as that.
"only 9.5" wow, tough crowd :|
£8.00 😯😲😬very expensive gareth.hope you enjoyed them🍖
yes were tasty but expensive
They look good but for that price only a once in awhile thing for me👍
For £8-50 I can buy a huge Filet Steak rather than 4 bones. Grossly overpriced, in Tesco you can get two packs of chilled pork ribs for £7 which would easily feed two people.
