Spent Summers of my youth stuking bales on a bale barge behind the baler.
    Wearing jeans where
the thigh area was patched on top of patches on top of patches as bales wore them out quickly.
Stuked off the baler, stacked on a hay wagon moved to stack yard and then unload wagon to build a nice large stack, or put on a bale elevator to load and stack in 2ndbstory loft in the barn enormous amount of work handling each bale 4 or 5 times before finally having them all in a nice tight stack for winter use.
You would think after all this we would not want to touch the bales again, but no, every farm Kid has memories of tearing into the stacks to build magnificent bale forts and the epic wars we had In them.
Things were better then we had real fun, not plugged into a screen being electronically stimulared and manipulated into thinking you are having fun.

Those automatics will usually shift up 2 gears at a time unless you have a big hill or something then it will be 1 at a time and some of them have a lever or button that u can manually shift them if you want. I drive one and haul 96000 pounds of grain and mine always shifts by 2 unless I start at a big hill. Hope this is helpful for you guys and keep up the great farming videos.
From 1 farmer to another have a safe and bountiful harvest.

The truck has a clutch, but no clutch pedal. The Eaton fuller autos have a clutch with electronic clutch actuator fork on it. And it has an electronic X & Y shifters in top of the transmission to shift the gears automatically. So it shifts gears like a manual does, but it does it automatically with a TCM, (transmission control module) instead of using your foot. Lol it does not have a torque converter and flex plate like a true automatic transmission. Just make sure if you ever change a clutch in an automatic transmission, to take the 4 holding bolts out after you install it in the truck. You will only do that one time before you learn. Lol took me a whole shift to figure out why the new clutch would never calibrate and work. Lol it was the first auto clutch I ever did and my Forman asked me if I took them out after I installed them. I said what bolts?! Hahaha but that's what makes you a good mechanic when you can humble yourself and learn something new. Been doing diesel mechanics for 16 years and I learn new stuff everyday and I love sharing my knowledge with others!! Nice looking truck!! Hope harvest is going great for yall!! God bless yall

I’m a huge supporter of the generational family farms bc big corps, big govt, the CCP & Bill Gates are doing all they can to buy them out to cut the food supply. That’s why they regulate the hell out of them. Gates bought up 6000 acres in Ohio for a “solar farm”(panels made by the CCP) that’s 6000 less food production from a family owned farm. As they say in the shop, connectors, connectors, connectors.
First, the biggest problems you will have with the autoshifts are the wiring. I would suggest you take it in the shop, get a big tube of dielectric grease, and start going through the wiring and checking each one, and put dielectric grease in when you put them back together.
Secondly, if it doesn’t have a battery disconnect already, put one in. When the transmission faults, most of the time it can be solved by shutting the power off and letting the “brain” reset.

After forty years driving my company bought auto shift trucks. I didn't think I would like them but after driving one I actually don't mind it at all, They have some minor quirks but overall not bad. Where I find they shine is stop and go traffic and in big cities where it's usually a pain anyway. I think you'll get used to it pretty quick. The auto shift if I'm not mistaken has an electronically controlled clutch the transmission senses the load and grade and is supposed pick the best gear to start out and shift the most efficiently . As to the ISX 15 we also have them plenty of power also can be turned up if needed . I'll be interested how it works out for your operation Good Luck!

Seems as though there's a suitcase size contraption mounted on top of the tranny. Once you start out with the clutch it takes over. It shifts up and down perfectly with the Jake. Well here in the land of salty roads , NY, the box lost it's mind. We had a time loading it on the trailer.

The automatics are a good pavement trans but not so friendly off the road, best thing to do while off pavement especially with a load is to manually shift the transmission to override the computer when it thinks it needs to shift and send you into a higher gear and no power, plus it is quite jerky. After you learn how to use manual shift, it helps when you got to pull out and you dont have all day to do it. Im recently retired and the company for the last 10 years ran all autoshifts. After 35 years of shifting gears it took a bit to get used to it. Its fun swapping back and forth. I wouldnt drive anything else now. They really shine in traffic. Beautiful new truck! But as far as i know automatic trucks are more robotized gearboxes. So yeah there is a clutch in the system, but no clutchpedal for you to use. The computer does it for you. It's the standard here in Europe these days.

I was driving trucks for 20 years before I started to drive my first automatic unit. Was unsure about it but it makes it easier and less stressful. My left knee was starting to bother me from all the shifting but now it doesn't bother me as much. Takes a bit to get used to.

😅it's an automated with a slave that shifts. I had a volvo 770 that had that it was great, I towed a 42 ft toy hauler rv with it and a small car in the truck frame fantastic.
