But its stupid, no one actually knows what the real story is, except die hard fans no one will understand, this will kill majority of its fanbase's interest, cause murata doesn't care about continuity only drawing pretty pictures.
While I’m also mad that we have to go through another redraw. at least this one seems better than the last two. So let’s hope the entire ninja arc will be better
They should just end the Ninja arc fast. Because, in the webcomic you can barely even call it an arc. It was just a random side quest between Sonic and Flashy that was comically ended by Saitama because he happened to be walking by the ninja village and disposed EmptyVoid off screen. And then the real story begins with the NeoHero arc.
The redraws don't really take much from the enjoyment for me Remember how saitama and garou sat down to talk after garou saw how massively outmatched he was, the redraw gave us the best moments of the manga in cosmic fear garou vs saitama
I don't see the redraws as a 'problem', if ONE and Murata aren't satisfied with how things being developed visually and through the story, I am fine with them tweaking things in order for their story fit the vision that ONE and Murata want to portray. Yes it can be a bit frustrating that redraws happen, but as an amateur artist, I can see how ONE and Murata would want to change things to fit ONE's vision of how he would want OPM to be portrayed. I can be patient, I've got things I want to do IRL and I can watch/read many other series while waiting for new chapters and season 3. I'm glad that ONE and Murata even have the ability to revise aspects of OPM, cause they are not limited by the same time constraints compared to mainstream publications like Weekly Shonen Jump. I think that is something that fans of the series don't really acknowledge and only see the consumption of OPM as something to consume instead of enjoying the series in all of its metaphorical flavours and textures. I would rather wait and fully experience the vision that ONE and Murata want to portray in OPM, than watch most of the slop on UA-cam where most content involves things like OPM mobile games, Roblox OPM maps/games and stuff that tends to derail from the aspects that makes OPM special.
I'm willing to wait if it means the story in the long run will be more entertaining. Also there's the theory floating around these redraws are parallel universes
When it comes to story telling, One punch man is getting as worse as Demon slayer. There was a time when it was good, but not even the authors know what to do anymore (literally)
Next chapter will have a boring FF and Sonic backstory that could last for 1-2 chapters. Then we'll see the same fight between the two we saw last year, and after that the Tenninto ninjas will appear and the same thing as in the retcon will play out again (maybe with some changes). Those that are waiting for That Man probably should sit back, and wait for some months.
Crazy theory, I think the redraws are of a parallel universe, where things happened seriously. If that is the case that is Oda and Togashi levels of writing.
That's why I watch dub. It's the best filter for every anime. An anime that has a dub must be good enough to have a good fanbase and make tons of money to be able to afford a dub. It already weeds out 90% of all the trash anime
Honestly, I know He wants to perfect it, but it's more disrespecting His own fans' time at that point. People spend time reading his work even if it's a short or long time, and follow it. Then over a year of progress in the story it turned back for a redraw of an arc people didn't enjoy. I'd originally wanted to read that manga, but then I heard how often the redraws happen. So... Ima just wait for the anime even if inferior.
I read both webcomic & manga, I don't mind the redrawing of the manga, it keeps the OPM manga on-going until I'm old, not ending anytime soon within my lifetime, with the best quality & best story possible, so I'm happy to re-read the redraws
I believe this will save the series not kill it. Often the decisions that are most unpopular prove to be what’s necessary for growth and creativity. Please hang in there wonderful One Punch fans. The best is certainly yet to come.
Honestly, based Murata. If he's not satisfied with his current direction, he shouldn't force himself to just "move on" to the next arc like it's just another day at work. I'm a freelance writer myself. I understand that sometimes rewrites/redraws are necessary to keep to the right vision, even if it means an inconsistent schedule. Besides, with each redraw, Murata has consistently come out with bangers anyway. Just because the story doesn't seem to "progress" doesn't mean we can't appreciate the new takes on the current direction. I'm not saying people should keep reading something they don't like, but there's nothing to be upset over and it doesn't hurt to have patience. When people overconsume on media so that they take for granted a regular schedule of content while expecting the highest consistency of quality, it hurts everyone from top to bottom in the anime industry. This is exactly the thing Hayao Miyazaki once commented on: an unsustainable model.
Saying it died is wrong.. It just doing the Re:Zero/Tokyo Revenger thing. It's good for the overall quality but the experience is sacrificed for now. It's too soon to say that it Died. Let's see how the next chapter plays out.
I couldn't help but notice a new webcomic chapter just got released almost immediately after the latest chapter got released, maybe ONE realized he was running out of source material and sent Murata out on a side quest 😂
I disagree with people saying that this Ninja arc is irrelevant. I love that Murata and One are expanding this arc to include Blast, God, and Empty Void. I will be keeping up with the manga even if I have to wait for redraws
I feel like they're gonna shorten the ninja arc. Because in the webcomic the ninja arc was literally done in a few pages and Void was defeated by Saitama offscreen and then the NeoHero arc begins.
If he's not satisfied with his work to this point, and wants to try to fix it, that's fine, and I hear that he is a very nice man, in person, but I really truly just cannot defend his post of "I know that what I'm doing is pissing the fandom off, incredibly, but I'm gonna keep doing it so suck it up, buttercup.".
I'm confused with going on here What are the differences between the original comic by ONE, and Yuske version, OTHER than the more detailed artwork? I always assumed that both versions of the comic were basically identical aside from the change in art style, is the story completely different between the two versions?
Here's how I look at it: Think of the ONE version of more like a draft, a sorta outline on what the story is going to be. Now think of the Murata version as more of an improved version of the ONE version with vastly different changes in that draft by making scenes, stories, pacing, characters a bit different or entirely.
It did not die if you actually follow up with muruta yk that he's always not satisfied with he's work cause they have to follow up with deadlines and he's not satisfied with he's work
i dont think this is anything new for the OPM fandom, we been waiting forever for season 3, and the manga always gets redraws. but at the end of the day we always come back cause OPM is so good
Say what you want, but media lives forever. Murata does right by trying to perfect the manga because he knows that when he will finally finish this arc people will only remember the last redraw series and likely mostly forget the previous ones.
People are literally out of their mind saying this arc in non important, if you disagree or don't understand why, then you're probably a casual reader and never paid attention to the story and the characters in the first place... If ONE and Murata think there is the need for a new redraw, to perfect the story (and better quality art as it seems), i honestly welcome that decision... Im a huge fan of the story and im willing to wait some more time in order to see a better finished product. I get that it's annoying to not see the story progress right away, but it will eventually, and it will be better than before.
My main problem with the redraws is that they shouldn’t do redraws in the first place it kills the hype for the series and leads more people to quit the series in my opinion they shouldn’t do redraws until the print copy releases
@@Ketieaux of course that's you're only argument towards this non committal the authors have over OPM. The series died long ago and has became soulless, it has become a secondary for the authors.
@pric3lessl0s3r5 hell no it's not my only argument... i just don't have neither the time nor the inclination to start arguing online over something not that important😅 If you dislike the series for the reasons you mentioned that's fine, i just do not agree

Thanks for satisfying my short attention span
Knowing that, Murata is trying his best. I’m fine waiting
You'd be fine if you had to wait 50 yrs
