The GCPD blimp is from the animated series. Man-bat was chosen specifically for the first episode. Really good episode aswell.
You got to go to a room where there is one of EVERY Lego set? Like, EVERY every? All of them? Hot Dang!

KIROV REPORTING
I never in my life thought anyone would reference this. I thought I was the only one
Kirov reporting !
This made my day lmao
Helium mix optimal.
Lmao one fun fact: Rudo Villano literally translates to Tough Villain in Spanish. Very clever LEGO.
One thing i know from owning a used version of a set and knowing a friend who sold vintage lego sets is that something that really jacks up the price of the zeplin balloon piece is if it doesn't have the stressmarks on the back where you screw the tail on.
Because often people turn it too far and you get bright gray marks from where the threads have pushed too far, and since the plastic of the balloon is quite thin it only needs to happen once and the damage is permanent.
Never seen the piece without that mark, though i haven't seen a Mint version.
It might not be *as* expensive to produce as you think. Judging by the way the plastic looks and it not having any stud connections it is very similar to the baseplates or technic figure canisters from this era. The way they were produced is not injection molding but vacuum formed plastic. Having no studs makes it wayyy easier to produce than a baseplate since it doesn't need the same tolerances as a Lego brick. Nowadays Lego is trying to shift away from baseplates because of that difference in producing parts, so that's why you probably wouldn't see something this large made again, just like with Bionicle cannisters sadly.
I suppose that makes sense, that's cool!
It's a shame really, I loved my Bionicle canisters...
Also the blimp just looks so cool, and thinking about it, I'm shocked Lego has never had any steam-punk-esc themes... the closest they've come were the monster hunters line, and even then it was barely there...
@@RipOffProductionsLLC there have been a few steampunk ninjago sets over the years
I want a steam punk blimp. Hey ,I want hair on top of my head and I know I wont get that either .Oh well,it is super cool any way .
The third moc ( Stormracer )makes me think more of diesel punk than steam punk, but that might just be me XD
Lego have snuck in a few Adventurers figure into sets and CMFs recently, and easter eggs in the Creator Haunted House... so it's about time they just released an new Adventurers line... and the Zeppelin is one of the first sets they should update.
The Batman blimp MOC was brilliant... and with Lego releasing the animated series set, that would make sense to release as a set too!
what sets ? and what is CMF mean
0:45 Thankful we still get the 'One Ring' pieces in chrome gold at least. Great video!
As it deserves to be.
Who here thinks LEGO City needs a blimp? Get on it LEGO!
It is worth mentioning that there are some online resources for 3D files for Lego bricks. Hopefully the blimp will eventually get uploaded so we can 3D print it
I mean, lego does still produce the lord of the rings ring piece in chrome gold, but unfortunately that's the extent of the colour nowerdays.
1:48 Actually, Lego did make a sort of Brick Built Blimp! It's set Monkie Kid's Cloud Airship, set 80046. I happen to have it,and it's really cool. anyways, love your vids, subcribed!
If I’d known you were making this video, I’d have sent you some pictures of my own zeppelin, the Hindenbrick! Standard modern passenger airship, and it looks great too! In fact, it looks like what Dr. Hugo Eckner would’ve made if he’d built a Lego Zeppelin.
Enjoy!
monkie kid KINDA did a blimp recently
Yeah its one of the few mk sets i own
Just stumbled across your channel and my god I cannot stop watching. You radiate the purest form of positive energy and it's hard not to smile when watching :) Keep it up man!
You're very sweet thanks man :)
Glad you're enjoying my videos :)
I had no idea that it used stickers for the details! I'd never bothered to look into it's part inventory, I just thought it was a neat blimp and LEGO predecorated it, that makes it a lot more versatile. I also thought the parts would have been inside the blimp, too, because that's how it was with the Star Wars Planet Sets, all 12 of them were even sticking out of the boxes. It was a lot of fun packaging, and maybe, maybe not, saved on space. I don't know if I can say the same when looking at this packaging for the blimp, but it definitely would have been better had most of the parts been inside. It doesn't seem like it would have been all that different than a Toa Canister the following year.
The fact that blimp can be easily dented though is sad to hear. My suspicion is that it was made similarly to how some glass vases are made, which is by blowing air into a glob of the stuff into a mold, making that plastic really thin. Without having the part on hand, I can't be one hundred percent certain, but I bet with plastic it might be similar to vacuum forming, but instead of heating up a sheet of plastic and then placing it down on a mold and sucking out all the air, a thicker sheet of plastic is placed just under a mold and air is blown in to fill the cavity, and the flashing gets removed from the opening quite easily. It's definitely bigger on the inside than the opening is, so that's the only way I can think it would have to be done, but there are still a few things I'm not certain about like those ridges inside making the connection points outside sturdier. The tail seems a bit more strait forward with a standard injection molding that unscrews itself once the part has cooled enough to be removed from the mold, but there's a few little bits that would also prevent that unless you have a really crazy looking mold with multiple pieces inside that need a final piece that pushes them out. It's the little pieces for the fins on the inside that are throwing me.
Ben, you should have asked how it was made. Go back to Denmark and get the answer.
I use to have this set! Such a throwback.
I love how it used technic pieces for it. I don’t think I used the stickers though, was a big fan of the adventure series.
I also had the sphinx secret surprise set along with the knight fright Traitor Transport which was another odd ball isn’t the giant plastic mold.
it's always great to see bizarre pieces like this thath i never knew thath they existed! thanks!
also what strange lego pices are you're favorite! (this includes system and bionicle)
There was also a Mummy shaped container for...I think the Sphinx set, or the big temple from the Egypt theme, and that one actually had the pieces inside of it
The problem with the stickers is they definitely will peel off. If you actually care about the details on this that's a massive negative
This piece actually reminds me another kind of airship.
Kirov reporting!
Cool overviiew and mocs!
I remember finding the blimp piece alone in pretty good condition at a Bricks and Minifigs once. I kinda regret not buying it since it’s a really cool part.
My neighbor had two of this set. Wish I got them when they gave away their old legos.
This is an amazing set and an absolute classic. I love mine
I remember seeing this set as a child in an advertisement on the back of an instruction booklet. I really wanted it for some reason, but my parents couldn't find it.
I'm pretty sure I still have mine somewhere. I can almost guarantee that it has a few dents and know for a fact that the stickers(those that are still on) have seen better days, but I should still have it. If Lego ever did re-release the blimp piece, I would hope they'd make a better way of connecting it, maybe using technic axles or something, since I remember having a lot of problems getting the flag poles out whenever I wanted to disassemble the set.
Man. I had this set. That Blimp Piece is awesome. I wonder if I still have it lying around somewhere ...
Have a sealed version in my collection. Really wish we got more Lego blimps
@Ben Cossy 4:20 Well, if anyone has this part and is willing to scan it for upload into LDraw or Bricklink’s studio database as a 3D model, we can reproduce the part using 3D printing. Then everyone can use the part because it will not need to be bought for such an expensive price. Anyone willing to do that?
what's funny is we have one of these (last time I checked its still there) at the used lego store I work at.
got it for my 7th year birthday, and had a blast with it. i still have it, but the stickers are hardly in place.
It's a shame this blimp piece wasnt used for the Lego TMNT Line to create the turtle blimp.
Oh hey I have that. Yeah it's still one of my favorites. 🤩
I am getting command & conquered red alert 3 vibes from the airballoon 😂
Bu legonun ilk zeplin setimi bide lego harry potter incekedinni
I always begged my mom to get me this set in LEGO magazine, but she never got it for me.
It's painful to see how expensive the set is now.
Honestly, I think the best way to get the blimp for now is to just 3d print it
Oddly enough I have the box and not the set. My mom found the box at a tag sale a few years ago with random pieces.
Unfortunately this piece is way to much for me to justify buying it, if only lego would grant us the blessing of bringing it back
I legit got that at a yard sale for $10 last year
Someone NEEDS to make a WW1 styled Airship with this piece. LEGO needs to also re release this item..
I’m so confused as to why they have the blimp piece have a lid option if you’re planning to dissemble it and store it but not use that functionality for the packaging itself!
Anyway if I had the blimp piece I would use it as a giant bomb for a Captain America moc
I'm genuinely surprised there isn't more lego zeppelin sets
I had this set but sadly i some how lost the pieces a few years ago dunno how but they just vanished
There was a also a gold pharaoh set that was meant as a container.
This was my dream set and my sister found the blimp piece for $1 at a thrift store. When she showed me me I nearly passed out
I would use the blimp as a factor tank
Wish I had a stash blimp in highschool hahaha
I USED TO HAVE THIS!!!
It's utterly destroyed now.
I really want that anchor...
If blimp so easily just unscrewing like a water bottle, it would be very easy to just quietly steal all the needed bricks from it 3:56
"Rudo Villano" means "Tough Villain" and it should actually be written "Villano Rudo" (Adjectives come after Nouns in Español)
1:34 Or you could fill it with helium!
That’s one weird Toa canister
I was playing DOOM (SNES/SFC port) while watching this :)
I had this set. I wish I would’ve never sold it.😢
I feel like it would make a really good pridwin blimp from fallout 4
De echo este ser lo viven el juego de LEGO RACER
wow i have that set😲
That's pretty cool given it's genuine lego. I've never seen it before?
$100 AU in bricks to build a blimp that big....? 🤷🏻♂️
I reckon I'd pay $100 for just the blimp piece 😝
Ummm…..
My blimp combusted into flames 😬😬😬
Still have it somewhere in my parents basement
6:13 the batman
It seems one of the least useful pieces but its cool to have.
It looks amazing even in 2024
Make it the hindenburg
I wonder if you can fill it with hellium…
probably not, i dont think it would seal that tightly
also helium is like a really small gas and if i recall correctly it *loves* to leak out of any gap it can find
even if it didnt leak it'd probably be too heavy to fly
I have this set in gem mint condition
I had this set when I was little and I customized it it’s destroyed 😭😭
My white Whale. 😢
Kirov reporting!
I have it!
LEGO need print all not cheap stickers
The stickers look terrible to put on , they stick up over the ridges of the balloon
Australian dollars? You mean dollerydoos?
3d print it.
Jesus loces you!
He isn’t real
Those blimp parts, are hands down the wierdest looking lego peices
Ive ever seen.
And only used in one set?
Come on lego
I know you can do better than that
that one time lego tried to do a kirov from red alert but turned into a silly "adventure" theme crap
