- 2020 Japan Cycling Trip Day 7: Brazilian Park Washuzan Highland sky cycling course.
This is a small Japanese amusement park at the bottom of Okayama prefecture with some very interesting attractions. The one we were most looking forward to was this SKY CYCLE roller coaster bike ride, where you are literally cycling on the rollercoaster tracks with an amazing view of the Great Seto Bridge and Seto inland sea and huge drops to your side.

Oh my goodness. Washuzan High Land!! From my home town. That attraction is too dangerous and the scariest!!!! I always had someone push me from the back.

I wonder what that ride would be like in stronger winds. :-). Glad to see U2 enjoying final weeks of summer. We might be heading back to partial lock down here in Canada, if we can’t get the daily Covid count down, government is telling people to lessen our circle to family + 6 other person.
No thank you with the higher winds. I imagine things will start getting bad here in Japan too as the temperature gets colder :(

I'm afraid of heights but I also love mountain view. 😭😭 I would have been better off never knowing about this ride. Now I'm torn; I want to experience this ride and I also want to not soil myself.

What amazing is the staff she can stand near the edge without worries. I remember in kawaguchiko ropeway the staff lady just stand on the platform edge without barrier, at least it's 10-20m high to the nearest ground lol.

I don't do well with heights, and that last curve where Thuong wanted to close her eyes would give me a big case of the heebie jeebies 😨. It does look like fun, though, which affords an awesome view. As much as I might give it a go, I do like my bicycle wheels on solid ground 🚲 HAHAHA! Much mahalo for the ride! 🙋♂️
It was a fun change of pace, but yeah we'll stick with normal roads.

How would a regular cyclist hold up to you guys if he tried to race you ? Like I'm sure your endurance and speed is better than average say the normal person is maybe like a 5. Where do you consider yourselves. I'm here in America in this is the first time I've watched any of your stuff but I enjoy it
I'm not so fast now, but raced domestic pro and cat-1 stuff for a while.
TWC - great video :) You guys should do a video on the similar version of this at Todogawa Komodo Land on the west side of Nagoya... we had a few team barbecues there and if I remember that one correctly there was only one(!) rail instead of two. Frightening. I remember thinking any gust of wind and that would be the end.

My question is, what if someone is on the bike for the first time, and half way through the course, they freak out, panic and become too afraid to continue pedaling? Say they come to that final big outward bank. What's the plan to get the person who panicking off of the course?

This ride may look simple and slow but the risk of falling to your death is very high if something goes wrong or you get stuck on the tracks. I rather get on the 🎡 wheel seen in this video to get a great view...Evaluate the risks in every ride folks.

Cool coaster, but I have never gotten used to people wearing face diapers...ESPECIALLY OUTSIDE!! The fresh air outside is a LOT better for you than a piece of oxygen-restricting cloth on your face!!
