  • This first lesson compares Nigerian Pidgin English with the English Verb TO BE in form of markers. In this first lesson, the marker BE is looked at in Nigerian Pidgin English. The other 2 markers DEY and NA will be seen in subsequent videos.

    Just found this series of videos. Excellent job sir! The “subtitles” including the example sentences are perfect for learning. I just started learning the basics myself. So….. This old oyibo no dey sabi pidgin well well. 😄. YET!

      Yes it is. As a matter of fact, I started writing one but I was swept off with other commitments. Who knows, I might revisit the idea in the future.

      Everibodi be VIP means everybody is important while Everibodi dey VIP means everybody is at the VIP spot. So, I guess the former is what you mean in your question since you’re referring to a party.

      Which kind massage you like? or Wetin be di kind of massage you like? ( This is when you’re addressing the question to one person. You can change the singular “you” to the plural “una” if the question is for more than one person.
