@0e-michigan Thanks for the shoutout! Great video review. Based on your review it does certainly look like the Weuaste & the Ottocast are coming from the same factory with a few subtle differences. I haven't yet experienced a glare issue with mine. It's been bright enough even in full summer here in FL, so maybe the screens or the screen coatings are different? Just a guess based on your comments. I also have a Garmin which is a glare monster depending on how the sun hits it. Other than that it looks like Weuaste and Ottocast have different start up interfaces but are otherwise likely equivalent devices although I haven't checked to see if there are any CPU, etc. differences.
My understanding is that it is indeed waterproof per its rating. I have ridden it in the rain without issues. One thing I did notice when I removed the unit after a rain ride is that the holder has a low spot that can collect water. It's nowhere near electrical connections, but obviously it's good to drain any standing water.

Great video, I appreciate no vulgar language and the professionality! Think I am going to give one a try!
Try changing to dark mode for increased contrast. It may help with your glare
Thanks, I'll give that a try!
Great video! Quick question, what about the waterproof protection?
