  • 2012 Buick Verano 2.4L ecotech timing chain for valve and crankshaft replacement. The customer didn't want to do the second chain. This is an issue i ran into, and I was able to find a video on why it wasn't lining up with the chain guides. I tried making a video that i hope was detailed and clear enough for people to understand. i hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the info, question, my intake cam pilot faces down in order for my phaser diamond to be at the 2 o'clock position. My exhaust phaser is at the 10 o'clock(this pilot faces down), crank at 12 o'clock, and all the marks on the chain line up, but I feel like I'm doin something wrong

These engines are garbage we have one at home and the engine seized after 80k miles. These engines burn a lot of oil due to the piston rings being thin. If you let the oil get too low, it'll definitely seize your engine due to the oil pressure.

Your first intake lobe has to be at five o'clock, your first exhaust lobe must be at seven o'clock and your number one piston at top dead center if you do it this way it will be right every time your welcome!

@AnthonyKeith-xs4or When you follow the service manual like most people at their workplaces, what you just commented isn't common knowledge. When you're an apprentice and the technician "teaching" you tells you to figure it out and follow the service manual, then this video is for them. So, thanks for that comment. Im sure it will help a lot! 👍🏼
