Prior to 1971, the US dollar was backed by gold. Today, the dollar is backed by 2 things: the government's ability to generate revenues (via debt or taxes), and its authority to compel economic participants to transact in dollars - not backed by anything... anything can be used as a currency as long as people agree to trade with it.

For anyone interested in many ways the courts cases against DJT are going, including filings by the lawyers & the courts, there is a channel on YT called The Meidas Touch that has lawyers from across the US, and some other contributors, who explain in plain language all of the things going on & how those things may likely play out in the future. It's pretty amazing & helps clarify so much of the craziness, as well as helping the average layperson manage their timeline expectations.

Titus, I just want to say thank you for sharing the stage. I’ve been watching for a few years now and I understand that you are used to having the stage to yourself. As for the podcast/youtube video, good job for acclimatizing to having two additional speakers. You have some great information to share and so do they. It’s awesome how the plethora of facts can be brought together underneath y’all’s umbrella.

Oh man, Highlander lucked out not getting COVID at all yet. I managed to catch three separate strains over the years since March 24th, 2020 when I first caught it. 105.9F fever that day, and then seven months of being sick enough that I couldn't go the 3 days without symptoms and sickness to be cleared from quarantining.

Hey guys! I love your podcast! I've been a fan of Titus since the premiere of his TV show. I look forward to it every week!
I NEED to THANK YOU, though. You guys said something towards the end of the show that means the world to people such as myself. When you guys said that "If you can't afford tickets, contact us. We don't want you to miss a night of laughs just because your boss sucks," that was one of the kindest things I've ever seen a celebrity do. Especially regarding their own work. The poor have been so demonized in today's society, especially the homeless, but only because people actually SEE them. For the rest of us - people either accuse us of gaming the system so we can be lazy and not work or they complain about "why should my tax dollars go towards food assistance for someone who just sits around getting high all day," or they are completely indifferent to the fact that the MAXIMUM monthly payout amount for SSI recipients (the Supplemental program to Social Security program for those who don't haven't paid into the system enough through their lives) is only $943. But no one ever seems to care that the nation's most vulnerable citizens are expected to live on less than $1,000 a month.
But I digress... (I just wanted you to know a bit about my situation so you can better understand why what you did means so much) the fact that you guys made that offer is absolutely incredible and I'm sure is going to mean the world to those who couldn't afford it otherwise. Thank you so much for saying that the poor deserve "a night of laughs," despite an inability to pay. My respect level for ya (which was already high) has gone through the roof. Thank you again.
And for those who I'm sure are thinking I''m only saying all this in order to try to get free tickets - I don't even live in the same state as where he will be filming the show. Furthermore - I doubt he'll even be doing a show near me anytime soon as I live just outside Portland, OR (in Vancouver, WA.) Which, if I'm not mistaken, he just did a show here. Even then - I can't emphasize enough that this is a genuine and legitimate THANK YOU. No one ever thinks of the poor, so it means a lot when people like yourself do.

Ralph Nader may be viewed as a crank, but he's not crazy, and he's not divisive. He has done and still does things to benefit the American people (especially the working class and poor) and should be praised for his many decades of work on our behalf. When he ran for president, he was earnest, and honest, and not out to sow chaos.
I too am a Nader fan. He and Sanders have been on the right side of most issues for 40+ years. That's why main stream politico's work so hard to block and silence and ridicule them.
George W. Bush is sure grateful.

She had mental development problems, that didn't fit into the image/career the father of the later president wanted to shape for his children.
The procedure then left her with the mental capabilities of a toddler, so he had her shipped off to some facility where people like her were parked out of sight when their families could not or did not want to care for them. The other siblings only found out the full truth decades later.
Once you understand what kind of "father" he was and how he engineered the future of JFK and the other children (like so many "dynasties"), some of the behavior of the others will also make more sense (e.g., originally JFK's older brother was supposed to become the career politician, but when he died "dad" switched his plans to another son, trampling that son's own dreams for his future)..

My mother is likely the person who taught me sarcasm. There was a conversation we had (some years ago) where I told her flat out that I did not know if she was being sarcastic or not. I'm almost 82. I was 26 when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated . Some Precious part of me died the night Bobby was murdered. But that part of me has been resurrected with Bobby Kennedy Junior's candidacy for POTUS. When I first heard he was running, I had bought into the mainstream media portrayal of him as a conspiracy nut but I felt I owed it to Bobby to at least give his son a listening to. I'm so glad I did! After listening to many interviews I got a feel for his sincerity and Integrity. What's more, when I learned of his practicing a rigorously honest spiritual program, being an old friend of Bill's, well, that just put me over the moon! His emphasis on placing principles before personalities and not impugning the motives of others, but focusing only on policy differences keeps him out of the childish blame-game pettiness which has characterized politics for the last few presidential cycles.
For the last 15 years or so I've heard Republicans complain that liberals, like communists, want to redistribute the wealth from the Rich to the Poor. Well, I've been around a while and my experience over the last 50 years or so tells me that through corporate lobbying, payoffs, financing campaigns, etc., Corporate America has more than just captured the Agencies which are supposed to regulate it. It has captured the Whole political system, both Republicans and Democrats to essentially establish a political duopoly which has dismantled the union movement, decimated the middle class and created the homeless class with exorbitant rental rates, interest rates on homes and credit cards, school loans, and stagnated wages over the last 45+ years. And so, the Rich, as plutocrats will, have been Redistributing the wealth from the Poor&Middle-class to the Rich! Bobby knows how to stop this because he's been suing Corporate America and the government agencies that are captured by Corporate America for polluting and injuring people, winning billions of dollars in judgments for the last 40 years. Please, just listen to his full interviews on UA-cam! And IGNORE the mainstream media interviews which are almost always EDITED to take his comments out of context to skew his meaning or views.
When Bobby committed to this campaign to become president, he took a leap of faith. Let's all take a leap of faith with him because it's the right thing to do. Let's say goodbye and good riddance to the duopoly that thrives on us fighting one anotherand take a leap of faith into a new consciousness of Hope and healing and caring for one another. I spent a lot more than three months salary on my son’s mom‘s engagement ring. I was making Jack squat at the time, (well, very little) but you can’t go cheap on an engagement ring. I hear you talking about spring and how cold it is. I have said every year for so many years and I’m in my 60s now so I have a few under my belt to recognize that spring is the coldest season of the four seasons… Winter does get cold, but in my area, we do not see low temperatures as often as we do in the spring. The lowest temperatures we got during the winter were in the low 50s now I see things in the low 40s and before you know it, we might get a frost which obviously is in the 30s , it’s really confusing because we see a lot of sun outside and we think it should be warm, but it gets windy which makes all that moisture kick up like an air conditioner, don’t spring. It is winter waking up and shrugging off all that moisture to Summer.
