The answer Miss Thailand gave was powerful, honest, focused and diplomatic that fits with today's context especially in 2024. Breast cancer continues to cause sufferings to women worldwide, highly alarming in America, Latin America etc., not just women but her family, friends and so on. Miss Thailand's passionate advocacy driven by her own experience at young age strikes a chord in today's politically sensitive climate, where navigating issues related to gender feels like walking on thin ice. Her narrative transcends traditional MU themes by highlighting that the real global adversary is the suffering brought by diseases like cancer, potentially uniting even those skeptical of pageantry, including men, under a common cause for humanity. I can't say how sad it was enough MU did not give her the platform as the Global Ambassador to echo her narrative to everyone which I think Miss Thailand would contribute a lot to MU legacy and woman communities...
Do we really think that this platform is to echo messages to the world, to develop and change? It is rather more of a business platform for whatever projects the organization has in mind.
