Another great and TIMELY video! I retire in 6 months and my 2 kids will have finished school and out living their own lives. Serious downsizing! I will have 6 months to declutter, purge, sell and give away what the kids don't want to take with them. I will checkout the websites listed and add to my plan. As a widow, I now only have to please myself. The 6 months prep will be emotionally hard; but the lightening of my soul will be my reward! Thanks again!
I love all your videos on here, and I've gotten some good tips on how to further organize and declutter my space. But when I go looking at flats I actually prefer for it to be personal and lived in (obviously not dirty). I would find it easier than an empty shell. I enjoy seeing that someone is using the space and obviously love and use it. Maybe it's like buying second hand furniture. I enjoy the knowledge that people have loved and cared for the things I love even before I loved them. I guess I'm funny that way.
I hear this alot, that everything needs to be spotless and clean or your home won't sell. But what they really mean is it won't sell for top dollar. When I looked for a home, I wanted a dirty one, because all the clean ones were priced too high. I bought a dirty one cheap and cleaned it up myself.
This was great, I have been researching "organizing your home tips" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ponrooklyn Xeyichael Secret - (just google it )? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to declutter and keep your house tidy minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.
ok heres my question: we havent even had a showing in over a year. how long do you have to live in your house that doesnt even seem like your house because its so de-personalized? we've re-personalized it because we like living in our house with our things obviously. we did have photos taken when it was bare bones minimum and de-personalized... and as i said no showings anyway (real slow around here!) but yeah... how practical is that and how long a time period to be de-personalized?
Things are so silly nowadays & people are so spoiled. Years ago people had the sense & imagination to look at a house & see what it was like & realize that the people who live there now will be moving out! Duh! All this staging is just to create another way for people to have to spend more $$. I agree with the decluttering & cleaning but "staging" is over the top of what's necessary, IMO. It's a house, not a Broadway play for goodness sake!
Cheers for this, I've been looking for "eric enge" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Siyamilla Financial Bigshot - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
The house we have is very large, so it doesn't make sense to live here with just the two of us, when the boys will be here only a tiny percentage of the time as guests. It sounds like you are a little more sentimental maybe than I am. ;)
Many thanks, been searching for "your clutter" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Vanonnor Tenhloe Equalizer - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my friend got cool success with it.

Thanks for the "smaller than a baseball" tip. I'll never get there, but it's nice to know the rule.
Good for you, Polly Dolly! It's so great to be able to do a little at a time, it's so "digestible" that way. Yes, your soul will be lightened! :)
Great tips for getting your home ready for sale!
Great thoughts - love your videos. De cluttering is a good thing even if your not selling.

Should have shown photos of before and after. Missed a great opportunity to show and tell what you do.
That sounds like a very difficult situation, Ericka. You should talk to a real estate agent about specifics like this. Good luck to you!
You are so sweet! Ha! Valentines special... what would I do? Show how to organize your many Valentines alphabetically by suitor's name? LOL!

1st comment!!! :) Anyway, could you make a Valentines special?
You are great, but your videos are all talking. I like examples.

No one wants to buy a dirty house. Same with renting a flat. Keeping it clean and presentable will increase your chance for a sale.
Finlay Brewer Agreed!
