Maybe so. But you can’t deny the information and stories Scott brings to the table. If it weren’t for him, we’d know absolutely nothing about the Detroit mafia. He legitimately unraveled that entire families history from start to present day. Not to mention co-authoring one of the best mob books ever written- “Mafia Prince”.
@@BostonsF1nest he's a very knowledgeable person and, just like his old buddy Al Profit, a great narrator. And again, just like Profit, he tends to overdo it while interviewing. I believe their vast knowledge plays a part in it.
I watch these as soon as they come out and I see them. I love that I hear details I’d never have heard if I didn’t find this show. Thank you, i appreciate you guys.
Canterella comes off extremely honest... He talks without embellishing or "adding"to stories... And the back and forth with you and him flows perfectly... Great job
Congrats on getting this interview and not easy to do but I wanted to hear him finish telling the story of when he approached his son about cooperating before you changed directions on him. Would have enjoyed it more if you let him tell his life story from start to finish and ask questions along the way. Rehashing the whole Donnie Brasco story was not necessary. Would love to hear more from him and his son.
Good guest Scotty nicknames, this is why you have one of the best shows out there. Thought you did a lot of explaining who was who & I understand not everyone knows all these names but I think you have to give your listeners more credit, mostly everyone saw Donnie brasco & has at least a general understanding of what went on there, just a little constructive criticism I hope you don’t take the wrong way, keep up the great work
The mob makes them rich. They get used to the high life. They rat to keep all their money and new lifestyle that they only made because of their membership in the Borgata.
“Rat?” What would a tough and fearless guy like you do when facing decades in prison? No one cares about Tommy piteras stance. He will die alone and really, who cares? He was a subhuman.

You could definitely do another interview this guy is a wealth of knowledge And his son has a good story too More of the kind of guys they were making at the end more money guys than tough guys
His section in The book, The Five Families makes for an interesting read. The Bonanno's ejection from the Commission at one point was sort of a blessing for them.
That early comment about the Father-and-Son union card was no joke. If you weren't family, you were locked out. NYTimes has archived stories about that from the 60s.
Scott you have done more things in this genre than most if not all the gangster podcast hosts I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers I don't think people know your successful career and how many shows and even movies you are behind when it comes to knowledge and history of gangster shit you know it.people need to subscribe and show some respect before I start cracking heads 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fun fact… for the past 12 months I’ve been spending 5 days a week sitting in a tiny audio control room at the west end of the Marine and Aviation Pier on 15 th st/west side hwy of which Richi spoke. It is now Google’s main event and production hub. You wanna talk about OC? Don’t get me started….
Apparently Louis haha was called that because when they told him that so and so got whacked out he would laugh .. haha, Louis haha Attanasio was also the guy who killed Cesare Bonventre the zip who was one of Galantes bodyguards, the guy they mention on here .. he was youngest skipper in the mob and Tony Mirras captain
I hate rats but the fact that they let this guy walk around after everyone knew where he was is pathetic that’s why there’s no fear anymore .this guy could probably go back to his old neighborhood and nothing will happen to him
I’m no street guy, I stay on the sidewalk. But this guy and his son were some of the scummiest informants under the sun. Got buttons for buying prime real estate
Its nice to hear Richie say they weren't into home invasions, anytime I hear anyone talking about doing those I think scumbag. I mean you really gotta be a lowlife to earn a living that way.
Great interview, Scott! Ah...thats ol "Shellac Head" ha ha 😂 😆. Scott...Big Joey is in a Nursing home in Florida I hear? What about "Good Looking Sal? You're creeping closer...imagine if you got them on the show? Never say never Matt NYC
I hate the movie Donnie Brasco. I’m so sick of hearing about that case and that movie lol. It’s like everytime you watch something on the mob they find a way to tie Donnie Brasco to it. I’m not saying that’s what Scott did here- obviously there’s a connection but it’s just one of the most played out mob storylines.
They all went bad,HIM and his cousin the guy who paid 50k for the thing. Nice guy cousin kept him down so he could earn off him so he didn't go to nobody else. Real nice.Stock brokers do the same with cold callers.😊
Scott never misses a chance to hear himself talk.

One of your higher-end interviews, he’s personable, informative and one can relate with how he narrates his stories.
Excellent interview
You should write his book for him, scott! This is the first time I’ve seen anyone interview this guy. That’s awesome! Keep it up!
Agreed. Need to have him back on the show.
It’s not his 1 st interview he’s done some before
Very smart guy Def not a brokester like today's wise guy
Yea dude pretty good but gunner already interviewed him and his son
Gunner interviewed both him & his son but he was more interested in talking about himself.
One of your BEST interview EVER! Take Richie up and have him back. Get his son Paul on too!!

You connect the dots on so much I absolutely love it!
Glad you like them!
Now imagine interviewing the guys who didn't cooperate, who did 30 years in jail ,gene Gotti ,John. Carniglia ,these are the real gangsters
Great video thanks
Awesome. Thanks bro.

1st time here, awesome work Scott.

AMAZING INTERVIEW! EXCLUSIVE ISH!
Finally, a rat tells the truth about why he ratted. Did not want to do that much jail time . No other excuses. See dom, Mike etc that's what you say.

Richie Cantarella. What a fkn legend. Greetings from Australia. Farken-Oath.
Great show, I love Richie's story. I could listen to him for hours.
Canterella would've got caught up in that parking lot scheme regardless when Barry Weinberg flipped and became an informant
Dude flipped in 30 seconds
The only ones really holding it down are the outlaw motorcycle clubs. Clubs believe if no one talks then everyone walks.
That is 100% false. MCs are the worst
How can the post murder not be asked about? That started a snowball affect that even brought down the colombos
Haha got his nickname cuz every time Mobster got clipped he laughed 😂😂
I wish podcast hosts would talk less and let their guest tell the stories.
Rich who was the tuffest guy from your neighborhood with there hands?
