Bro you deserve a trophy real spill...you been consistent as hell keep it up 👍🏾
Great job man but where is a kobe season
Bro that ‘03 Duncan season been waiting for
Already done 3!
Pls try for 2008 or 2010 Lebron if you can. I have trouble finding film on those seasons
He very well could've won MVP this season. 56-26 record in a tough Western Conference. 21 points, 12 assists, 3 steals a game at just 22 years old, 3rd season in the league. He led the league in win shares. Monster season
He should’ve. But Kobe was robbed of the award 2 times already in 2003 and 2006 so they wanted to just make Kobe happy.
@@_1luljayyy 2003? foh Timmy deserved that award.
thebiggestgamer I think you meant to say Playoff MVP cause Kobe had a better regular season campaign then Duncan
@@_1luljayyy Spurs finished at the top while the lakers with kobe and shaq finished 5th
@@thebiggestgamer Exactly.
One of the greatest mid range shooters of all time!!!
his 08 and 09 seasons are two of the best point guard seasons ever. you can put those seasons with anyone in history. led the league in steals and assists both years while scoring about 22ppg on real good shooting efficiency and never turned the ball over. like that’s as good as it gets
07-08, 08-09, 09-10(before the knee injury) Chris Paul was a different breed of Point Guard. Extremely quick & fast & super strong for someone 6ft I never seen him bullied on the court. He could score from any level on the court, had an UNGODLY handle, clutch he could take over & close games, would put up 20+ every night & averaged 12 assists a game with average players on his team & a defensive nightmare as well he would EXPLOIT the defense & he would lock up & take the ball from the best player on the opposing team. He Averaged 3 steals a game & broke the record for most consecutive games with a steal back in 2009 (106 games). Before his meniscus tear in 2010 he was on pace to be possibly the greatest point guard ever, he was unstoppable. There’s nothing he couldn’t do on the court. You should upload a 08-09 highlight for him that’s when he was at his peak. I can remember games in 2008-2009 where had triple doubles & almost had quadruple double multiple times that year & he had games with 30 points & 19 assist. Many people don’t remember young Chris Paul before the clippers he was really the TRUTH there was a reason he was 99 overall back in 2008/2009 on 2K & there’s a reason he is the POINT GOD he is the epitome of the PG position. Why do you think the NBA Vetoed the trade back in 2011 ? Because they knew Kobe & Young CP3 together would have DOMINATED the league & it wouldn’t have been fair 😏. He is Truly the Last Of A Dying Breed you may not appreciate him now but everyone will when he is retired.
11-12 12-13 13-14 he was still moving good & had a unhuman handle.... i would say after that is really when you started to see the physical & agile deteriorate
@@7400Des for sure. he became smarter & a better shooter after the injury.
@@TheLifeT what is your Twitter man your speaking straight facts i want to follow you
Could not have said it any better myself. You forget how many dunks he had before the knee injury. I blame the retro Jordana lol
bro i read this entire thing and it’s nothing but facts. What do you think about cp3 this season with the suns
CP3 before his ACL tear was so fucking fast and explosive. People don't realize that after that ACL tear he lost significant amount of his previous explosiveness but still remained elite.
Meniscus not acl but yeah he was so fucking quick and fast it was scary
He’s like ja morant speed and quickness and craftiness but he’s shorter so he can’t dunk like him
Yeah im 24 so i remember how explosive he was before he hurt his knee these 15 year olds think chris is fast now fast until they see this 💪🔥😭
@@miyuki9581 check the dwight dunk cp3 did on him
LaMelo plays like CP3 in terms of court vision, passing in the halfcourt and defense.
He needs just 1 ring he really deserves it
He gone get it in the end like Jason Kidd did with the Mavs.
He doesn’t need one. Even if he wins one, ()/5 won’t change anything. His legacy is cemented regardless.
He needs to go to the east, it’ll be easier for him
My Take On Basketball not everyone wants to take the Easy road.
Throw Congress Overboard who are u again?
Prime CP3 was truly something else.
I honestly don’t think there’s any PG today who could’ve handled this cp. people even struggle with the current 35 yo CP.
Still is Effective!💯
imagine if chris and drose are always healthy and not got injured.
CP3 today was still in his prime
@@kalakalboy5272 he’s still balling no doubt! But he’s been left his prime similar to lebron.
As much as i love Kobe, his 07-08 season could've won MVP. One of the best season a point guard could be. (And he plays great defense unlike some other point guards) Thank you for the video !
Unfortunately, the media HAD to give Kobe the 2008 MVP for a number of reasons. Kobe never won it in his prior seasons, he was the most popular player in the league in the mid 2000s, his prime was running out, and Lebron was quickly becoming the undisputed best player and face of the league.
I don't mean to slander Kobe, but he never had a GOAT season that was reflected in advanced statistics like his peers (the same could be said for Iverson). All Kobe did really well was score a lot of points, and after his 81 point game, people really wanted to call him the best player in the league. But his teams never won, and lost in the 1st round in back to back years. It was only after they got Pau that the Lakers truly became a force in the west.
spiidey1 u sound dumb as hell fr
spiidey1 shut yo dumbass up talkin bout Kobe only scored really well that’s why he has 12 all defensive teams
spiidey1 and who gives af about advanced stats u a stat nerd lol don’t even know how half them stats work
@@spiidey1 Kobe also played elite defense. It's true he never had a goat season (but people will argue his 05-06 season). It's weird to think that kobe could've never won an mvp award.
One of the greatest players and one of my favorite players ever, Chris Paul.
I swear there's a thousand Chris Paul highlights that will be forgotten because it happened on non national televised games and in pre-HD coverage
No wonder he was a 99 overall on 2k 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah he deserved that overall.
He was different
and the cover
He was not different this is a one and every two generation point gaurd
@@redvipergaming2905 huh??? I honestly can’t stand CP3 but in his Hornets days he was ridiculous. He had a 3 year stretch where he was easily one of the best PGs of all time, your comment is barely english but sounds like you’re saying he isn’t anything special
If Prime CP played in today’s up and down era I think he could’ve averaged 25 and 13.5 apg with 50/37/88 splits not to mention about 3 spg with around 2 T.O per game. He’s one of the most complete PGs to play the game . He could score, assist, and defend while having complete control of the tempo of the game. His prime years were wasted by poor front office decisions , failing to surround him a elite wing scorer until he played with James Harden.
prime CP3 created today's up and down era.
His whole game was different back then. I loved watching him play when he was one of one and the best pure PG ever
Thank you, maybe kids today can get a glimpse into what that man was like in his prime.
Yea
Anyone else notice/remember how Jason Kidd was with the Nets and Mavs this season
Weird times man..... weird times
His game caught my eye very early. That style he used to play with was dope af
He was phenomenal during these hornet days. 🔥 🔥 🔥
If Chris Paul would’ve stayed healthy, he would’ve been the greatest point guard of all time. Best assist/TO ratio, led the league in steals however many times, could literally do everything a pure point guard was expected to do, but better. Imagine John Stockton with And1 handles. That’s CP3 for ya.
More like Isiah Thomas with Mookie Blaylock
He lead the league in steals a record 6 times!!!
Elbow Gang That’s an alright comparison but CP3 is more efficient than Zeke was.
He’s already better than john Stockton was tho
He can’t take over a game and score at will though which is what holds him back. If he was taller w a little more athleticism he could
lol this guy is so good...on a another level when it comes to trully understaing the point guard position.
Been looking for his Hornets highlights for years!! It’s about time yo 🔥🔥🔥
Man I love his mid range game!
He would have multiple championships if he teamed up w/ Kobe.
Who was the Lakers coach when the league vetoed the trade?
Rickey Lynoard Smith Phil
No he wouldn't. They would have never beat the Spurs
Dylan Patton yes they would’ve spurs always struggled with Kobe and the Lakers in the playoffs
@@dylanpatton9404 pop himself said the only players he could never figure out was Hakeem, and Kobe Bryany
I’m watching Chris Paul play right now as I type this in 2023 for the Warriors. Unreal Longevity. HOF bound no question about it.
"NO FLAWS IN HIS GAME"
Bro this guy THAT season was incredible. Man was a Wizard with the basketball
Yoo he did it I’m the one who asked for Chris Paul I appreciate it bro I can watch this 100 times
We both did 🙌🏼
Fr
Shut the fuck up u not the only one who recommended it 😑
relax
Shut dumb ass your not the only one
Chris Paul, Jason Kidd and Dwyane Wade are the players most deserving of an MVP season award.
07/08 and 08/09 version of CP3 are the most complete PGs in NBA history on offense and defense.
His main problem throughout his career are lack of size, which led to Napoleon complex and most of his injuries.
Also he is a control freak. Which makes him overthink things when under pressure.
He ain't a choker, he has actually had many clutch moments throughout his career, even in the playoffs.
Yea that game 5 loss vs OKC back in 2014 was a great example of him overthinking things in the clutch
Funny how when ur favorite player is annoying and chippy it’s competitive spirit. But when it’s a smaller pf it’s Napoleon complex. Btw, u can’t be 6 ft tall and have Napoleon complex. Lol.
@@TheIcemanthomasHe is talking relative to his peers, not to regular people, compared to his peers he is small 💁
@@faulknerzzxirrelevant to what was said. He doesn’t have napoleon complex.
I would really love to see more GOAT SZN episodes from 80's, 90's and maybe early 00's.
Dwade and CP3 are the guys I try to model my dribbling and shot making off of. They both have such crazy control and balance. The way they dribble also flows really easily into the jumper.
When you're younger, you just move differently. Legs are under you, your stroke and jumpshot have more "oomph." Younger Chris Paul had a better shooting stroke than older Chris Paul.
Nah he’s a lot more efficient now then he was back then. In La he had multiple seasons approaching 50 40 90 splits.
CPGoat #3 yeah he has been a better shooter in the 2010s then he was in the last 2 years of the 2000s but in 08 and 09 his athleticism and passing and scoring were all at their peak’s so I prefer 08 and 09 Paul but clippers Paul was a better shooter and more clutch
@@spongetheking7102 Old CP3 Better shot and Passing Young CP3 Athleticism finishing
Hell nah his jump shot got way better but everything else you right tho but he’s way smarter now to.
Not even close he's a way better shooter now he was a better finisher at the rim before his knee injury
Man young CP3 had a nasty first step, & his quickness was crazy; still as crafty and smart as ever, fans have become more accustomed to the older, not as explosive, more methodical version of Chris, but New Orleans CP3 was a BLUR! Barely 6ft tall but is a BULLDOG on the court and could do everything as a player, his offensive game super well rounded, can hit u with a 3, make u run into a screen and hit the big for a lob, cross you up and pull up from midrange, give u a lil bump and hit u with a floater, or that weird euro step thing he did where he’d decelerate and fade at the rim to kiss it off the glass, Just reminds me how much a legend this guy is, CP3 slander is crazy these days
CP3 brings the Best out everyone whose on his Team! and till this day he's still Effective 💯💯
It's not talked about, but very few true point guards in history have ever averaged 20ppg and 50% shooting. CP did that while being your best playmaker and defender.
Mah favorite point guard Chris paul 💪💪💪
Shot creation underrated asl fr fr💯 being barley 6’1 180ish but quick and aggressive with great elevation on his shots
He should've won mvp that year. He elevated that hornets team. Nobody even expected them to make the playoffs that year and tied the Lakers for the best record in the west. 13 years later he's still doing it.
My favorite player damn I needed this video
7:04 Damn
the real mvp
For real he is
08-09 was even better.
Love these throwbacks man most underrated channel on YT
Word
Fr man
The last of the true point guards
This guy had 925 assists and 217 steals he was a fantastically 2 way and underrated defensively
First Ballot HOF & he’s still going 🔥
Bro wtf, best content on youtube, your videos make me the happiest person in the world. Thank u for everything and Keep it Up!!! 💪💪
People really just dont know who CP3 really is. Top 5 point guard of all time. Second best point guard of the 2010s. He's considered a "loser" just because he doesn't have a ring, but I've seen what this guy does to the teams he goes to. He's consistently made everyone around him so much better. The Rockets, Suns, Pelicans fka Hornets, and Clippers all had Chris on their roster when they set their all-time best records, and that's for a reason
THIS is the CP3 I loved
Now that he's with my Suns... I can't wait
this guy KILLED it for my fantasy team that year EASY $$$$$
1 of the best pure point guards in the NBA
OMG, I didn’t catch up with Chris in that era, but you made this video
Back here after game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals.
And he lost no ring for cp0
1996 Michael Jordan, 1996 Penny Hardaway, 1994 Scottie Pippen, 1990 Kevin Johnson
Great suggestions
One of the best true point guards who play in Hornets in 2008
His best games today was pretty much what his doing almost every game back then and some.
Thats wat happens wen ur 36 , most players retire by then
Who else likes this guy so much (as a player) ?
07-08 Spurs vs Hornets 2nd round match-up was when I first heard of Chris Paul. Also, this season had what I thought (and still think) was the craziest race for the first seed in a conference in the NBA (a 3 game difference from 1st to 5th).
The west was a grinder that year. Probably the most competitive conference in recent memory.
id gladly take this cp3 over any pg in history 😤
My favorite CP3 season !!!
Ridiculous 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️✨
Few suggestions, Thunder Harden, Manu, Jazz Deron Williams, Hawks Joe Johnson, or Nuggets Melo. Love the vids 💯
Edit: Penny Hardaway is a good one too
Terrance Hill Iso Joe🔥🔥🔥
Josh Lee Joe Johnson was so tuff
Hawks JJ was insane. As a hawks fan he’s top 3 all time hawks player.
He’s so fast!
THE GREATEST 🐐🐐
Insane
Your favorite point guard’s, favorite point guard.
You my friend have uncanny ability to choose all my favourite individual seasons of all time! Next can you do Lebron's 2nd MVP year 2009-2010? When he was rocking the little afro, my personal fav of his
Man
Chris Paul's speed at 3:01 is something else. Too bad he no longer has that speed when he needs it most in the finals.
Thanks!! I love this CP3’s Highlights video!!
Jordan 93, Kobe 2007, Hakeem 1995, Dirk 2007, LeBron 2009, Barkley 1993 more options in the future
He already did some of these. Check out his playlist Goat Szn
MomJessicaandJordan Richardson yes Jordan 93 is my favorite player to watch
Dirk in 2007 made me sad man because he crashed so hard in the playoffs after playing out of his mind that year😔
Your videos are beyond GREAT!!!!!!!
I wish they would put this team back in 2k
This video makes me smile and wanna cry. This man was basically unstoppable that year. The trio of CP3, David West and Tyson Chandler was very effective until injuries (Chandler ankle, CP knee, West knee) and incompetent team building (Fuck you Jeff Bower) basically killed any long term success they could've had. Sadly they mismanaged the CP3 and AD eras. Hopefully they can stop blowing games and turn the corner because this current Pels team is the most talented since they moved to New Orleans.
Great little guard 👏👍🌟 cp3
Isaiah Thomas
My 2nd fav player all time next to the mamba
Right on Time!
Finally dropped it thank youuuuuu😎😎😎
I'm sure this was before injury, he looks quicker and more aggressive. Young, so I guess not many of these defenders know how well he can shoot. (MIDRANGE KING)
He had a meniscus injury in 2010 that zapped a lot of his athleticism at a young age.
CP3 is cold 🥶💯💯🏀
Needed this!!!
THANK YOU
Before that acl tear Chris Paul was insanely fast, 17:08 is crazy on Parker and Duncan
You the best at this max🔥
Who’s here after the news about him going to the spurs?!
People don’t believe me when I say prime cp3 is the greatest point guard of all time. He had no weaknesses
CP3 was a Beast in his prime
He should have won MVP this year, but he finished 2nd in voting to Kobe, so I can't hate.
He really should’ve won MVP that season 🤦🏾♂️💯
No doubt. But Kobe Bryant was robbed of the award multiple times so they wanted to make him happy
I hate how they do the award that you got to be winning or a be a contending team. Either change the name of the MVP or get it right🤷♀️
@@_1luljayyy well even with that criteria the Hornets was second in the West that year so he still met that standard. It really was his MVP but like u said it was a makeup award for Kobe being robbed by Steve Nash🤦🏿♂️
Facts
basically kobe got screwed over by the NBA when they gave steve Nash the MVP so they had to make up for it
In the end the one who suffered was cp3
Prime CP3 > prime Westbrook
The play at 0:26 really summarizes the quality of the team around him
can't agree more
Haha so true
How ironic the highlights start against the suns.
There's no bullshit in his game. He's like the Tim Duncan of pgs. Somehow both underated and an all time great underated.
and they both went to wake forest
dude has been playing so long i totally forgot he used to BALL for the hornets. man was unreal
Seeing how much quicker players I grew up watching used to be reminds me how old I am. Depressing
CP3: *hits an elbow J* Commentators: "Chris Paul, from deep.". Spacing was horrendous back then.
Who’s here after seeing Chris Paul lead the Suns to the conference finals?!
Im here because his team phx suns reached the NBA finals and his 1st finals appearance in his career👍 what a moment
For the person who disrepsect Chris paul, they never saw his game in 07-08 season, probably these kids just get birth after 2000.
Don't know how your not at 1mill subscribers yet
This may be weird,
But can you do Tim Duncan’s 2002-2003 MVP season. He also won the championship that season too.
Why would they be weird?
@@TheIcemanthomasHave you watched any Tim Duncan highlights? There's practically nothing from his early days.
