Just don't buy gift cards. Other websites are saying they steal the entire card package, steam the glue off, then put a fake card in, then glue it back together. The second you load it, the money gets transferred overseas. The stores will not refund your money. It's too risky. Just don't buy them from the stores anymore.
But pretty soon they'll go from the stores all the way to online shopping, because by the time you received the gift card in the mail it's already stolen. So I think next time if I have to buy a Google Play card to get money in it? I'll just go directly to Google Play and load the money there.

Absolutely postal employees , well some, are thieves
It happened when I mailed a mother's day card & gift card. She received the card, but not the gift card. She said the envelope looked weird before she opened it.

📢Companies Protect Your Customers!!! Stores needs to pull all these gift cards and throw them away. Get new ones and now keep them locked up. You will need to ask for a gift card if you need one.
I think gift cards should be locked up for safety. If a customer wants to purchase a gift card then he/she needs to ask an employee for assistance.
To avoid being a victim, don't buy gift cards.
an e gift card works but you cant use it as a physical card maybe you can scan to your phone and use

We need to be extremely careful when we're shopping around in malls and stores, also choose an atm machine that you could trust when withdrawing money and check your bank account daily to be on the look out.
What good is that going to do? They know your bank account and they know the code that's tied to the bank account, so when you go to pay your cell phone bill online? They will know your bank account number when you enter in the phone company database. And that's why he seems know your credit card when you enter your credit card information!

And it's not just gift cards these thieves are stealing? It is prepaid debit cards now they're going after, and after they get through stealing money out of prepaid debit cards they're going to try for your bank next!
So not only going after retail stores they're going after banks as well. That is why we need to watch out for our debit cards.
I think this video helped scammers more than victims. Gift cards are scams already. Just give ppl cash instead of paying extra fees for a card

Who has time in a store to do all of this , heating up the jacket and all during business hours. It would be obvious to everyone something fishy is going on. WTH. It has to be the actual store employee's that are working their hooking up a friend.
Houston lady bought some, said cards were in tact but didnt numbers didnt match receipt and money was gone!
Gift cards are a scam, companies pocket $$$Billions from unspent gift cards, and they make massive money off the INTEREST of YOUR MONEY that they are holding and investing every day that those cards aren't used. Stop the insanity, just give the money since you aren't fooling anyone about how much you spent.

if you have a person w the same bank you can just transfer funds or use paypall or others
we get SCAM for 1,000 . and to find to talk to somebody in ebay is horrible. The cards dont have a phone N# in the back . Is sad i feel terrible is impossible to fight for my money back I report the scam to FTC.
There is no freaking way that they're going to project that there's going to be a billion more spend on gift cards when everybody is crunch timing it severely we're sitting here wishing that they would have a Black Friday sale on goddamn groceries for crying out loud that's how bad the economy is and he really think people are going to spend a billion dollars more this year good luck and put the real numbers out when it's all done and over with!😮😮
Even cards that arent cut are getting cloned .......best thing to do is send it electronically
so they could put faux display cards on the rack so folks can bring them to the register and the clerk exchanges then for real ones loading them after that, wow, wouldn't that be so difficult to do, they just don't care, especially target

Why not just give someone cash or a check instead of a stupid gift card. There is no benefit to a gift card and they are worse than money. My daughters would get gift cards for Lulu Lemon and I would have to take them across town to go to this store and they bought stuff at that store. These cards just suck. That is what cash is for , it is universal and you are not forced into going to one store. The only way a gift card could be better than cash is if they offer you a discount. McDonalds was offering a free Big Mac with the purchase of a $25 card. So that would be worthwhile, if you go to McDonalds a lot.
