- This is the 3rd update from my friend Jerry's yard to see how his trees are growing. Jerry has a real fruit forest happening in his yard. He fits many fruit trees and still has room for more.
You can contact Jerry at his facebook page

Also, my friend Jack from Urbandance was in this video. You can see Jack's website here:

No nonsense grower. I love his attitude .
Love this guys energy and allowing his trees to grow however they want because he has the space.
I enjoyed watching this gentleman show his food forest but it was hard listening to you criticizing him about his plant distance. People can do whatever they want. Be happy he allowed you to see what he’s proud of. I wish he had his own channel.
YES! This guy needs his own channel 🤣 He’s awesome!!!
He might not have the time…I work outside and once I get inside I crash. I barely have the energy to click on the videos of someone else!
If your not planting for commercial purposes it shouldn't matter its the fun of having plants and fruit trees
Love this guy. He has a common sense garden philosophy.
I just bought 1.25 acres in South Florida, and I super excited! Can’t wait to grow some tropicals!
perfect yard, plant what you want, let it grow.
This guy makes so much sense in everything he says. Love it.
It's like my dream garden.
I want to be his neighbor
lol. I love this. He is wild. Set it and forget it and ultra high density. Jungle style. My style and my yard is less than a quarter acre.
I love this guy!! I love that he’s doing what he wants to do and not apologizing for it! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ikr
Time stamp, for not apologise for it
what an awesome property. I'd have fun growing all those trees. I have to make do with a normal residential lot, but I still pack'em in.
I would love being in that yard! I'll be happy to take any unwanted plants you have!
I would be in heaven, never need the box store.
Yes or seeds.
@@tinawindham6958 have available a surplus of hot pepper and cocktail tomato seeds right now
Haha! I like him! He's hilarious. Beautiful farm!
Thanks, I have fun while enjoying our tropical paradise in Jupiter Farms
@@silverfizzytake the LSU fig out of the ground. Dig all the native soil out. Put at least a 5 gallon bucket(preferably larger) with drainage holes into the hole you dug and fill it up with a potting mix.
Leave the edge of the bucket about 4” above grade. Supposedly nematodes don’t travel deeper than 18” and will not enter into your soil.
After taking my figs out of the native FL soil (they were in there for 2 years) they came alive and produced fruit.
I know you prefer trees that are stronger but that’s what I’ve learned to do.
Also have read that nematodes can be controlled with shrimp shell meal or crab meal. Never tried though.
@@scottburgle2169I agree I only grow mine in pots. I planted one in the ground and it wouldn't grow in the ground.
Awesome guy Jerry, he didn't get tired planting all those fruit trees from all over the world. He's got green thumb though. 👍 Thanks for sharing this video.
I love all the trees. They're the trees I miss from Philippines. Kaimito, Santol, Soursop, Starfruit, Sugarapple
I like your content but please allow people to plant as close as they wanna plant.. out in the wild there is no regulation ..and trees produce
Not to mention trees do better when they are around other trees.
@@carson911oh boy have I learned this! When I pack them in everyone’s a happy camper but alone… sometimes they straight up die!
@@carson911that has not been my experience.
They don’t really produce much if they’re shaded out.

I’m surprised he left those pine trees with hurricanes making toothpicks out of them. I’d cry forever if they messed up those lovely fruit trees. Wonder if he has a lot of nature visiting his yard. Box turtles love my fallen loquats and persimmons after the birds get part of them…he should have camp sites in his yard😂😝😜✌️💯👍🏻❤️
There is wonderful fruit and enjoy garden .
I like this dude!!!
That’s a beautiful garden! Goals 🎉
Love all the trees hanging out and showing off their fruit
Would be an amazing life to live where you could walk outside and pick breakfast and lunch.
Love his style of planting and low=maintance
This guy is good, he remembers all the trees, their specific species and the years!
Lovely gardening!
Combination everything... FUN
Plant your trees HOWEVER n WHAT ever YOU WANT/DO. No one ever says how you should/shouldn’t, beautiful n fantastic fruit trees, blessings!!!👍👍💕💕
I’ve had 11 50+ year old mango tress grow literally touching each other at the trunks and produced the most in west palm.
You should do a video
I love it, enjoyed the tour. Thanks
18:36 yeah. I totally believe in spreading the same plants in several locations around the property with different microclimates. Jam them all together and prune once a year.
amazing garden and Jerry is great guy , greets from Belgium , yeah i can only dream to live is such climate as like there where you guy's are , greets from Here , i am Carl ✌✌
Jupiter gets nearly double the annual rainfall as here in St. Petersburg Fl. I wish we got that much rain. I wouldn't have to water either.
He has everything
Anyone wants to leave me a garden like this ? It’s a dream garden . Thanks for sharing , I luv his enthusiasm
Love your banana shirt! That’s a fantastic place. I bet it smells good,2. I bought 3.5 acres that has some old fruit trees on it and tons of other stuff but still too much grass for me. Loquat is one of my favorite trees and my rabbits love the leaves, also love Brewster lychee.,zbox turtles love any fruit so I don’t care if it’s not so great it will feed some hungry soul. Blessings to you and your place, heaven on earth.
The title was very fitting. Unbelievable. How does he keep up with all of em? Beautiful!
Omg that star fruit is incredible!
So fun to see how excited and variety of his fruit forest! All I can say is WOW! Great video. 👍
That Kari tree is ridiculous! A great spot for a picnic under a tree.
#12:22 Keow Savoy mango is a Thailand variety lol not Indian. Both Santol and sweet Santol is a waste fruit bro it can enhance other fruit juice flavor but that is about it. I just finish watching this video, Wow bro what a mind-boggling exotic fruit heaven he has created in that farm. Fantastic collection. He has great energy. I love his farm. Some of the fruit trees are actually huge and seems like very productive. What a lucky man.

😮😮😮 🎉🎉🎉AMAZING!!!! I try to plant lots of rare and exotic stuff too. It’s very difficult to find the red jackfruit. Only one lady I saw selling a 5 inch plant for $140! It’s crazy. Someday I wish to have one. 😊 ( not for that price tho!) 😂
Cempedak, do you grow that too?
I choose Nangadak because it has better resistance for rain. It is a cross hybridization between Jackfruit mini and Cempedak.
@@DeepuCEO how is the taste. As good?
To each their own.
Great video paul this guys yard is insane I cannot fathom the density of planting here !!!!’
Im with this man. I think you can grow alot closer then they say to.I just throw some trees out. I did fertilize the first year then stopped. Well I have not had much fruit till this year. Now that the roots have grown deep. I told my husband Im going to grow half our future farm tree this way.
I don't think it is the best plan, he will have to take some trees out in the future.
Wow! Instead of garden ornamental plants , varieties of growing trees bearing fruits are in his lots . Fruits for life . I have also mini garden plants with variety of bearing fruits like mango avocado papaya mulberry bananas guava guyabano Anonas tamarind mabolo jackfruits sugar apple Chico Miracle fruit .thanks forthis vlog
I love this older guy❤. He seems so happy and you can tell he just loves fruit trees and planting. If anyone knows his UA-cam channel please let me know.
Im a collector too>>I like very rare exotic fruit and i grow it in zone 6>>>>I keep my sugar apples under the mulberry tree so as not to burn the leaves right now>>>.
Thank you for sharing I love the yard
Thank god you tell us where u r located!! Its a hobby- ur a gentlemen farmer!!
1:09:13 persimmon in zone 10A. I’m in zone 10 B so it’s good to see there might be some hope for my tree to survive and hopefully set fruit.
I’m in 10a growing several Vietnamese Pinks. The largest one ( about 4 feet tall) currently has 5 pomegranates that are ripening on it. 😊 it’s two years old. It’s flowered several times but this is the first time the fruit stayed on it and they’re doing well!
What an awesome place, my orange and lemon trees were only about 6 feet tall, lots of fruit though and the grapefruits were about 12 or so feet tall and I had about 3 neighbors and friends eating off them every day
I love your garden many many wonderful fruits and very well maintained, viewer from trinidad
loved this guy.
Wow that stuff is close. My trees are spaced 20 feet minimal and in many cases 35 feet.
Sounds like you know what you’re doing. Many people here are delusional thinking massive tropical trees that get up to 40ft tall with trunks 3 feet wide can be planted 6 feet apart from each other without problems.
Reminds me of the Lysenkoist “close-planting” nonsense. These people clearly don’t grow their own food for a living or else they’d be starving.
What’s the hang up with high density and ultra high density?
I want to plant close and so many people do but if you plant too close you will have to take out trees in the future. That's okay just when you are planting your trees plan on what ones you will want to keep and what ones you will want to remove. its also a lot of work grow trees close together and I want people to understand that.
The June plum you can use it for raw chutneys or make Indian pickles
Part 2? I'm in
He’s got a cool attitude. If he put a little more energy into them he might gets some more fruits. I wonder if the trees he could take out could save and sell or give to someone else in the same zone 🤔
Great tour. Really fun to watch.
Moringa , figs, dark grapes, herbs, Hoyas
That white sapote that was growing long lateral branches and he said it wasn’t growing right, maybe it was looking for more direct sunlight. If that problem persists I think I would give it more direct sunlight
It is in a very nice sunny spot and growing very rapidly. The tree just produces very fast growth and the soft new branches droop from the weight. I also grow Bonita Springs, Denlzer, Redwoods, and Sue Belle and none of these cultivars have this bush like growth pattern.
Interesting concept of extending the season by having mangoes next to each other. I also ignore the dogma of growing mangoes 20 feet apart.
Beautiful
Amazing 👏🏾
Very nice, thats what we in Brasil call CHACARA, or a small property, near the big cities, so we can relax in the weekends with the family, planting lots of fruits, veggies, small pool for the kids and small lake for fish, flowers for bees to produce honey etc. BUT..what about Temp in Florida ?? Doesn't go under 5c? Beccause some of these tropical fruits does not tolerate cold climates, going under 5c it burns, so it should be covered or protected when north winds "visits" Florida. Even in South Brazil we lose some of our fruit plants like BAnanas, Papaya, Avocados, Mangoes and others that does not tolerate cold climates in the south.
"I don't like vines" lol THanks!
Nice content all Tree fruit
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing 👍
Love this video
Wow I like that
Awesome
I lived in a 55 plus trailer park in Mesa Az I had orange trees lemon trees grapefruit and could have had many other types , the ground was like moon rock and it had to be watered a couple times a day but it grew like crazy. The scrawny rabbits ate the oranges as fast as they started to get any size to them , but that was ok with me, I f I wanted any I could have put wire around it.
It looks like all trees need a lil water!!
Paul is giving good advice. Jerry will have more production if he follow Paul's advice. Very good show!
Keep growing
Omg, bkack sapote is my favorite tropical fruit! Scoop the flesh out, sieve it through a ricer, and combine the flesh with cocoa powder. The BEST chocolate pudding ever! No sugar added!
Black sapote
Jackfruit tastes great cooked with bbq sauce. Tastes like beef.
I didn’t know they had trees available that are greening resistant yet!! Wow I’m going to have to look into that!
🤔 sarcasm?

I have a Gao Lim Krong tree. Seems to be a vigorous tree. Fruit is similar shaped to Maha Chanok. Seems to also be very disease resistant
Amazing ❤
This is the first time I've seen your channel. I'm curious, why does it matter how close the trees are? In nature, if a person is trying to mimic nature, trees grown closer than that, survive and produce fruit. I say let nature do what nature does. Great content though.
They read information that trees do better spread apart. This incorrect information has taken off like wildfire on UA-cam. No where in the world does anyone else say this, but Floridians think they know better.
@@carson911Not so Floridians. I like my trees close.
Alex at Tropical Acres Farms has the best example of how to space trees.
I want to plant close and so many people do but if you plant too close you will have to take out trees in the future. That's okay just when you are planting your trees plan on what ones you will want to keep and what ones you will want to remove. its also a lot of work grow trees close together and I want people to understand that.
I’ve got a question for him , how does he deal with pests or what does he do for pests control ?
FYI... NONI fruit juice CURES Recluse spider bites
Some of your Fruit trees needs Pruning. If you remove the lower branch. you tree will be better as it will get better growing and grow fruit. Your Papaya needs more soil on the trunk and need water as its turning yellow because it need water. You also plant the tree to close with each other.. Your Coconut when young, it should be guided up while it was young. so it lean to each other..have more to say ,but i am going outside to mow my lawn.. Good luck...!!!!!
Great garden! Can mango trees grow in Naples area?
Absolutely.
Cinnamon tea is amazing
Great video Paul!
How many acres is this property?
It’s great to see Jerry is still living the dream.
1.3 acres .
23:13 Fwang Tung I did some research you’re welcome people
Bro. Good work. but you need a better camera man. Please zoom-in of what is being being talked about. Closeups on leaves and fruit, I suspect is what your viewers want.
This was an old videos things have improved now. Also it's not always that simple. I think that day it was like 100 Degrees outside lol but thanks for the comment I will remember and consider if for future videos
Is that mostly casurina leaves/needles being used as mulch?
Love this guy, where is that place in USA?
They don’t need to cut them down ,some plant take more time to bloom than other
I love Jerry! Stop with your crusade of getting people to plant there trees further apart. You almost ruined this video.
Must be a retired new yorker
WOW…
Paula has to stop acting like he’s a expert lol
It's funny how you tell people stuff is too close, even when the trees aren't touching. You would hate my yard, my trees are 5 feet apart, but pruned every year to restrict size, I also grow bonsai, same concept. I'm with this guy I'd rather have a collection of a variety then worry about spacing.
5 ft is way too close for fruit trees to thrive in my opinion. Where are you located I'd love to come see your yard and see how you make it work
@@FruitfulTrees I'm in Oregon, all my trees are less than 6' tall, I keep them pruned, it's a bit of work but I enjoy it, and I get plenty of crop, apples, peaches, cherry, I enjoy your content, your doing a great job.

Did he say Fwang Tung for thr starfruit that you said is better than Kari?
Fwang tung is the smaller starfruit variety in my front yard. I prefer the taste over the giant Kari in my backyard.
Fwang Tung is nice but I like Kari Better
I'm not sure but I think most people do, I want whichever is the sweetest and tastes the best.
