they talk a lot of Rega and Pro-ject but fluance is a better brand in general, by the way , nice system, that control amplifier from Macintosh is very good it makes any source sing
@@TJ-rg9wr great to hear it ,i bought last week a 2Mblack from my 79 SL-1310 from technics it was restored and only have one needle more for it´s cartridge so i had to buy other and the black was the closer i tried that sounded like the original cartridge ,it was expensive but i received money as my father died two years ago so i in his memory bought the black as it was his colour at the beach our greatgrandmother was from a island close to Indonisia or Timor but i´m caucasian as my family all were tall, white and blue eyes mine came out green, but i´m old i don´t use them anymore for what it mattered, north european girls liked dark skin and black straight hair with green eyes and i did sports as in several till i was 30 but also a heavy drugs consumer a mix of the best, it were the 70´s, girls at the time didn´t like swiming suits but german girls only dressed their swiming suits when going to the sea after they took it off again ,never understood why, something related with sand maybe, sorry with age one gets out of topic but yes if i had none i would buy a Fluance, they sound and look better , at least they look like turntables
Really like the 590’s. Sound quality is excellent, the mid, the super tweeters are fantastic and the bass is incredible powerful(you won’t need a subwoofer) my opinion. Would I buy them again? Yes, these speaker have given me a much better sound than other more expensive speakers I have owned. Hope that helped. @@TJ-rg9wr I was thinking about it but I found out the tweeters are on the bright side. I'm not very fond of tweeters that makes S and T sounds very sharp. I prefer more of a cloth dome tweeter that has a more warm sound to them.
I have both the 580s and 590s, and while they are more directional than other speakers they are not bright. In fact, the Studio 5 line tends to roll off after about 15K and they measure very flat. The 580s have a very holographic nature to them and I find them and the 590s at their best with significant toe-in

Are the JBL ports plugged? 590's woofers shouldn't move with an amp as clean as the 602 if they are open. Your turntable is about 6 inches from the JBL's woofer, it might be picking up bass from it being so close. Check woofer movement with this track from a CD or stream.

Nice set up. I see you have the same preamp as me. Right now I'm only using a cheap power strip, but the power supply is so good on my MC462 that I don't think it's having a drastic impact. Eventually I'll replace the "strip" with something much higher end. I've been focusing on other areas, such as the cartridge and room acoustics. I noticed a pretty good improvement when I upgraded my cartridge to the the Airtight PC-7
Use power filtration with source components and preamps but not on big power amps. The slight choke of power from the socket is more detrimental than any benefit they claim. Put a window AC unit on any power strip/filter, the fan operates but the compressor won't.
Why not? I had the Bowers & Wilkins 803 S which at the time they were 5K+ and they did not sound as good as these. I understand youtube doesn't help the cause, but at that price range, these are incredible. Thanks for the post!

I’m not sure everyone can just go out and buy a house as if it were a better cartridge. And, if the choice were a house and no system you really enjoy vs. a system you truly love and enjoy until you can grow into it space wise, the choice would be easy for me and, presumably, this proud music fan here. This is from a guy that enjoyed Altec VOTs in as much room As I could afford until I was able to purchase a larger home.

Just speculating here, but chances are that it will not be the last, either. Maybe it's the kind of man that became bored eventually. After that setup it will be another one, and then another one...and so on and so forth...ten years from now a zillion bucks system and the same crappie room. Or maybe he's chasing after that kind of sound that he'll never experience in such a cramped space, no matter the cost of the equipment. The audition room is, in my experience, the most important missing link in the audio chain. Then is the question of putting the priorities straight. Building the perfect audio system is a solo adventure. Building a nest is a step to open yourself up to others. The world is full of boys who spent their last savings in expensive cars and afterwards they don't have enough money for gasoline.

@@TJ-rg9wr El sonido no deja de ser fisica , muchas veces no es cuestion de los componentes como de saber controlar la energia; para mi son primordiales varios parametros: Lo primero un buen filtro- regleta que limpie todas las micro-interferencias que entran por la red electrica, de hecho si se tiene conectado el equipo a batarias es muchisimo mejor.Unos buenos cables tanto de conexion a red como de interconexion y un buen rack que difumine toda la energia residual que generan los propios compomentes del equipo, esto para mi, es mas importante en el sonido resultante que los propios componentes del equipo. Y por ultimo el componente mas importante de un equipo de sonido y el que casi nadie tiene, una buena sala de audicion acondicionada acusticamente.Saludos desde la Mancha, tierra de D. Quijote.

The fact that comes with a blue Ortofon makes it much better.. but overall , a great turntable.

The adcom is not so good. I had one before. Sound too harsh even with mosfet.
