The location of the target area on the main wall varies depending on where the crosscourt drive is hit...so what is good behind the service box will not be good for balls hit in front of the box. so the advanced players will not look for the hit point on the main wall, but will scoop up a crosscourt ball hit at a good angle from behind the box and try to hit the same angle from the box or in front of the box - the bounce of the ball will constantly change on the main wall, but the ball will end up in almost the same place on the opposite sidewall. (of course, the distance from the side wall will also affect the target area on the main wall, but that's another topic... not to mention that the target area for a cross shot is highly dependent on the position of the opponent -so it's not fixed))
