“Don’t ignore direction” I’m not an actor but i hate when actors are given bad direction ugh those poor people could be talented but can look bad if the direction is terrible
I’m not even a performer, so it’s not like I can use this advice(even though most of it make sense), but it has Emma Stone in the thumbnail, so I watched😂
You know what, they noted how some of these can apply to job interviews as well but really they can be applied in other everyday aspects of our lives. Ok, obviously not the ones specific to filming like not looking into the camera, etc. In school, for a job, and even just literally being in public. Like, you don't have to have a meltdown just because you made a small mistake, bam no more Karen's. You are not the boss, bam, no more the customer is always right bs. Don't be late, bam no more annoying showing up 10 mins late with starbucks.
Thanks so much for this list, even non professional actors can use these tips if they're auditioning for community theatre or school productions.
Me: I think I am gonna take acting a little more seriously. I love being in Dreamgirls, so why not?
Ms. Mojo: Well, do we have the video for you, Syd!
How convenient lol
Id say put yourself in the role as much as possible. Show them you can not only read but can emulate your characther.
Early is on time
On time is late
Late is forget about it
Not a performer although there was a time where I did want to do it. These are good tips also for job interviews especially coming prepared and not to excited. One I know for musicals do not do songs from Les Miserables they are to overused and nor everyone has the range especially On my own
My agency required that new headshots be done every year. Their thinking was that there are just enough changes over that period of time that an older headshot is no longer representative.
I worked on tv shows and movies for a few years in Hollywood. Just showing up and keeping my mouth shut unless asked a question got me leaps and bounds ahead. I started as an extra and the "graduated" to more and more bits and stand in work, etc. I didn't really want to be an actor, but was curious about it and it seemed like an adventure at the time. People around me did so many stupid things, trying to get noticed. They did get noticed, and immediately fired. Talking to your favorite star on set will get you canned too.
I can use this in the future 😆
Can you please make a video of the worst high schools in teen drama shows
Thanks a lot
