The reason why they keep pushing the game back is because they wanna fix any and all issues big or small that would potentially mess the game up. They still truly care for the fans. People just need to learn how to be patient

The characters are fun. The maps are really good and not bad at all. But with cod. We wait for a new title and pretend to be excited and it's just a copy of a previous game I mean just look like modern warfare 3. It's legit a steal bc it's modern warfare 2 with just movement and stuff that was suppose to be in the game and people try to act like it's a good game when it doesn't even have over 20 maps or even 10 like bruh

The comparison is on point. However, i don't think it will fail this year, next year or the year after. Ubisoft isn't looking to be as big as COD and they have been known to support games for years and years that don't have a massive player base. I think it's going to a really popular game no matter what year it is because it's freaking fun 😊

What happened to xdefiant is that they announced the game to early and had two beta which build them a lot of hype then they decided to delay witch completely killed the hype for game.
That’s doesn’t matter trust me if they didn’t delay it and they realized a incomplete game it woudl die in a month even though releasing incomplete game is common nowadays if they wait until it’s fully complete it will retain a lot more players

We are lacking casual fps games these days. I am hype for Xdefiant since it will bring back casual gameplay where you can choose when to sweat if you are good or just chill back and play while still having fun like the old days. If they can fix netcode issue on launch I think it will be a game we all have been asking for from cod developers for years. Mw3 is a decent cod but SBMM still holds it back for me. If anyone likes that or doesn’t mind it then they are either bad at the game or they going against other disabled gamers who accidentally chopped off their thumb while slicing tomato.

As much as I would love a true COD alternative, Xdefiant is just not it. If they get rid of the hero/champion mechanics, then I think COD would be in real trouble. That said, the thick SBMM in MW3 will lead to fatigue pretty quickly, so Xdefiant will score some of the COD base due to that alone, even if like me others actually can't stand champion style fps.

It's going to be so nice to have two amazing games to play when Xdefiant comes out. I'm not even worried about it one bit. I was always going to play MWIII and Xdefiant at the same time so when they release as long as it's not buggy, it's going to be amazing. I swear the cod community is the only community that only plays one game and one game only and then they fight like little girls with anyone who plays another game. I honestly think it's the PlayStation community who does this. I see it way more on PS forums than anywhere else. PC players play way too many games and Xbox players have game pass so they play other games for free already.
Exactly..console players are so de-evolved. With PC I have so many games to choose from a free game like Xdefiant with all it's issues is irrelevant. Xbox has a ton of games to play for free. PC players don't care and we don't weep over SBMM or EOMM

I highly doubt Xdefiant influenced the changes we got in MW3 beta, Sledgehammer is known to listen to Fanbase to some extent so i doubt xdefinat made them make those changes.

Probably not. I enjoyed the Xdefiant beta, but I doubt it will really kill CoD. It’ll take some players, have it’s moment, and settle down into another competitor.
MW3 Has one really big problem! SBMM
I enjoyed XDefiant in the betas it had and it’s a fun alternative to COD, but the hero shooter stuff is what kills it for me. MW3 now has everything that I wanted to see out of COD with the movement, maps, and traditional game design. I don’t really care too much for SBMM and when I get burnt out of MP, I have zombies and Warzone.
I’m definitely going to play it here and there because it’s free, but it isn’t replacing COD for me.

They could have used Rainbow six Siege as a template, adjusted movement speed, balancing, etc. and would have had a quick and working CoD competitor. There already was a, although bad, Zombie offshoot. They done fucked up.

I think they have to release the game BEFORE MWIII so people can actually decide if i want to spend money on the game. If they release after MWIII is out, for me, i will never play Xdefiant because of money spent on MWIII.

It's crazy to see all the insecure COD fans who just spent the last 5 years trashing, denouncing and promising to never play another Activision, Infinity Ward, sledgehammer or Treyarch game again. This has been the worst 5 years for MP COD games in history and with vanguard and MWII back to back, COD was dead and the Dev teams were dead to cod fans. Then suddenly a game that's been in the works for 3 years, let's them play a beta, a game that we originally didn't think wouldn't release until mid to late 2024. Then because they fell in love with the game and because Ubisoft saw how big the 2nd open beta was, they tried to rush it out to us as fast as possible. As someone who had played the closed alpha 2 years ago and all of the following closed and open betas and expected it to be released in 2024, I was shocked when they announced their end of summer goal. Now because they need to do a little more work on it to make sure it releases in the best state possible, all those COD fans that just got done trashing everything cod for the last 5 years are calling for XD to fail just because they played a good MWIII beta. It's crazy to me to see this in real time, they went from "leave the children alone" to "put it my butt COD is back!" 😂😅. I've never seen a community that less deserving of either XD and MWIII.

for me the biggest problem is the skills, shields and futuristic things. I always liked the cod because despite being arcade, it kept boots on the ground. despite having the advances, which despite having bought at the time I couldn't like, exactly because it was too much for me, that's why I never played games like Apex, Fortnite and others, because I can't find it funny, I like the arcade with a part of reality. without being too real or too arcadey. For me it has always been the charm of cod. and I think that's where they lose out when they try to be too arcadey or too real. they always lose players from both sides.
I think if the content is there XDefiant has a chance of being successful but not as a CoD killer. This reminds me of Sonys attempts to release a “Halo Killer” with Killzone and Resistance truth is Halo just dwarfed those games in popularity. CoD is so cemented in pop culture nothing could really bring it down. Kind of like GTA and Saints Row both are successful but once Saints Row figured out it wouldn’t come close to GTA and made its own thing with Saints Row 2 game was decently successful

The reason it hasn’t come out is because of its rating because it’s rated T they couldn’t get it onto any platform because the stuff that was in it wasn’t suited for rated T so they switched it to rated M so they can fixed the issues
This game is done before it even started. It’ll have a honey moon phase but their ultimate fail on releasing it on time will definitely hurt them more than they’re acting it won’t

honestly id rather play xdefiant than mw3. i played the beta and only enjoyed it till level 30 because you know why? SBMM kicks in so hard i would lose 5-10 games in a row while being kill leader in my team. but the moment i play dumb and always die i can already feel the SBMM adjusting and its so bad and predictable the game just wants me to play average rather than play the way i do because the moment i do good in a single game the next 5-10 games are hell for me. it burned me so much, i raged so much in mw3 so many times that i just don't want to touch that game anymore or il lose my mind. i'm a good person but that game brings out the satan inside me.

More info: When i play Ghost recon breakpoint with my uncle, we would get laggy and get disconnected for some reason, sorry if this is long, in R6S, me and my uncle would lag and one time he kept getting disconnected in a match, their servers are failing for some reason

Xdefiant will be another option like Apex, Halo, or PUBG. They're is enough variation and differences between MW3 and Xdefiant they can both live in the same space offering gamers a different flavor of the FPS genre. COD is going bigger with Open world-COOP and nostalgia Warzone/resurgence maps while Xdefiant will offer the arena style multiplayer with new maps and movement style. MW3 will grow stale quickly sadly due to the fact all the content is nostalgia based and just a reboot/reskins of old maps and old content. THE BIG DIFFENCE WILL BE COST. COD BLACKOUT LOST OUT ON 1000S OF PLAYERS SIMPLY BECAUSE PLAYERS HAD ENDLESS BR OPTIONS THAT WERE FREE.

Just because xdefiant is also and arcade fps doesnt mean it's the "cod killer". Both games can succeed alongside one another.
