The difference bet this parade and the older one is that the mummies parade was a funeral procession where the mummies were transported to a different resting place, hence the more sombre music.
This parade is a celebration of the flooding of the Nile and the prosperity that comes with it so u hear the drums and the dancers and u will find among the parade priests to bless the royal Nile boats.
    A 4000 yr old celebration relived ❤️❤️

Proud of my country ❤️, if u come to Luxor u will be so much attracted to it to the extent that u will cry when u leave it and will always come back to it . Luxor is from where everything started , it is the land of civilization, it was the capital of Egypt long time ago and was called " Tiba" , meaning" kindness" which comes from the kindness of it's people.

    Girls dancing on water:
The temple Holy lake is 9 meters deep so they made 2 steel structures for two dancer groups just 2 inches below the surface.
And the moon in the back is actually a projection on a wood structure.
For the road itself, it is 2.7 miles (about 3km) and has around 1200 Sphinx status

The outfits in this celebration are accurate to a large extent to the actual outfits worn by our ancestors in this celebration thousands of years ago . The "Opet" celebration is a celebration for the nile flood it is a celebration of life that's why you feel that it is better than the mummies parade because is was a celebration of death , that's why you see all the colours in the celebration also ancient egyptians used to celebrate in that time of each year for 27 days in a row.

Yes Jay, they were dancing on the 🌊 this lake is called Sacred Lake.It is the largest of its kind and was dug by Tuthmosis III (1473-1458 BC). It measures 393 feet (120m) by 252 feet (77m) and is lined with stone wall and has stairways descending into the water. The lake was used by the priests for ritual washing and ritual navigation. It was also home to the sacred geese of Amun. An Egyptian engineer designed a stage on water and that moon is also designed by him

The soprano who appeared at 1:15:55 min in the parade, in mortuary temple of hatshepsut... She represents hatshepsut herself and she sang as the ancient strong queen of Egypt the daughter of amoun.... She sang gratefully to amoun, her father and thanked him for the power and wisdom he gave her which made her take serious decisions for her powerful leading kingdom, Egypt ❤️
By the way I'm Egyptian and I truly adore my homeland history, and proud of it... I can answer questions about historical places appeared in the two parades and a summary of their tales....

That water the dancers were dancing on is an artificial lake that was created by ancient egyptians thousands of years ago , this lake's is 9 meters deep and the water level never goes up or down and the water is always fresh and clean and until today we never discovered how they did it. The dancers are dancing on a stage created in the lake by egyptian engineers for the sake of this celebration.

As an Egyptian from Luxor I have a lot to say about the pride I’m feeling.
One Note though the dancing girls on the water it’s a stage built specially on the surface of the holy lake in Karnak temple, where Amoun priests used to wash to be pure before standing in the presence of Amoun Raa the master of Gods .
Thank you Jay ..a lot of love and respect ❤️

Other than that. The parades and their performances were phenomenal and despite the minor disappointment, I still give the performances a 100/100 and it was more magical in my opinion than entering Disney land as a kid for the first time if anyone knows the feeling I am talking about.

We are still to this day under our homes (and some well-known areas), deep underground, there are ancient statues. And for exploration and research, it should not be a non-residential area.
But you missed out the man who song in copet , he father’s of the girl in white dress.
Tha last man is wael elfashny , وائل الفشنى
