    Sir, what happens to the refracted wave? Is it totally polarised or partially polarised?
    And yet another doubt as equivalent to this.. does the entire component of unpolarised light perpendicular to the plane of incidence
    gets reflected or just part of it?
    Nice video sir

    • @aaanbhi
      @aaanbhi 2 роки тому

      refracted wave is not polarised. The entire component of unpolarised light perpendicular to the plane of incident isn’t reflected some of it is refracted as shown as this is not the certain angle of incident as which it is completely polarised.

    i didnt get why the perpendicular light gets absorbed and those that are parallel get reflected???can someone elaborate......

    • @bintzubair
      @bintzubair 6 років тому +7

      Try to think of it as poking a needle into a pillow. If you poke it vertically or even at a somewhat vertical angle, the needle will poke the pillow. If you poke the needle horizontally (press it into the pillow) it will definitely not pass through the pillow.
      That's how I thought of it.
      Maybe it's because chances of vertical light being absorbed are more because the surface has vertical "windows" (like how sir mentioned in the previous video). So the horizontal lines won't be able to pass through the vertical windows.
      Hope this was of some help.

    Sir as we know polarisation of light is a phenomena of restricting the electric vector in a particular direction (unidirectional), how come the reflected light is polarised if both the lights of different directions get reflected which means they are not restricting the electric vector in a particular direction but in two directions (perpendicular to the interface and parallel to the interface)

      pranav gawade 12 tak do you study the same thing ? Or are you a genius who studies everything at their birth ?
      Whatever it is if you don’t want then just don’t watch that part and switch to your part
      BTW if you were that good at studies you wouldn’t need to be here and so for us so it is better to relearn again
      Don’t bother to reply to me now

    • @pranavgawade1546
      @pranavgawade1546 5 років тому

      You bothered to reply me in my comment at first place so its my duty to reply you. Firstly keep that stupid learned everything at birth to yourself. I had my base cleared at respective standards and I just thought that sometimes he takes a lot of time in explaining simple things so I suggested that through my comment. I didn't asked you to reply, so keep your head out of it.
