Luc seems like a really nice guy who got sucked in and spat out by the record labels at the time. And they didn't even release his original version either. Shocking to hear. Shame on them. Great interview as always Twan.
Great interview! I completely forgot about this one. He should have gotten royalties for this. Pity... Such a great and original track. I love every part of it. Thanks for doing this Twan!
The rights of this track is now in my hands, so releasing the original is possible but I’m not going to do that. Is looks too much on the Garry mix so it will nothing add to the release. Luc
Twan nice work again. To bad DJ Garry past away last year. Otherwise you had could interview him. About his track good inside. What was picked up by blank & jones and was played at the love parade in 2002 . But keep up the good work. R.I.P Garry .
Garry made strong remixes. So i go for the Garry remix. But i never heard the original version. Garry mijn meester. Jammer dat je dit niet meer kan zien. 😇
I did not know him and his production. With this interviews we see forgotten or not appearing on the Trance scene people. I like this concept of discovering those people by sharing their stories. Notice that even having a bad label experience and not releasing his track he still have a dream - to make a good recognizable track. I wish him luck.
muzikxpress Oh really! So we’ll never hear that one. I’m still curious what it sounds like. Have you ever heard it yourself Twan? Btw you really made my day with this interview! You have no idea...
Very cool interview Twan, thanks!
RIP DJ Garry :(
11:49 That's the best reward for being producer. It is someting unforgetable.... Congratulations Mr Poublon!!!

would be nice if they release the rare 2000 remixes like the James Christopher Remix and the original too digitally
ShhhHhhhz maybe that is going to happen indeed 😎
initialstube Cool! 😎
Luc and I were coworkers back in the late nineties, I still have a couple of his megamix CDs he made at the end of the year :)
Ah cool! I still have the "High Energy" one he did and the ID&T Yearmix 2001 :)
Haha jeroen you still have my Klubbsounds Yearmixes? Great! also need to post them online too ...
A muzikxpress compilation with all the tracks you cover would be amazing.
Awesome interview!
Great interview! I completely forgot about this one.

Such a great and original track. I love every part of it.
Thanks for doing this Twan!
Dude the DJ garry remix was such a classic closer.
Great interview again Twan, very interesting! Did a remix for Luc some years back, super friendly and positive guy. :)
Thanks Michael! And that's cool! Which track did you remix??
@@muzikxpress Gerontion. The vocal version of quantum leap. Really loved the vocals on that one. :)
Michael de Kooker Ah nice one!!!
That's great to hear that Luc is still producing under his own label :)
Definitely Absolutely Trance Classix
Die heb ik veel gedraaid, heerlijke plaat
He should release his original if he can. Another great interview with a top man.
The rights of this track is now in my hands, so releasing the original is possible but I’m not going to do that. Is looks too much on the Garry mix so it will nothing add to the release. Luc

What is your favorite version / remix of "Something About U"?
DJ Garry mix is the daddy 🕺🏻
DJ Garry all day (and night) long
Obv the DJ Garry Mix, but I played the Robert Smit mix a lot too
Garry made strong remixes. So i go for the Garry remix. But i never heard the original version. Garry mijn meester. Jammer dat je dit niet meer kan zien. 😇
@@stavroshardcore It's the only version (sorry Luc!)
Edit and I also pretend the vocal version doesn't exist.
Nice shirt! ;-)

He should try green chile on his pizza before he says he doesn’t like any fruit on it at all.
Another producer who tells of a bad deal with a label back in that time - seems a familiar story!
I’m pretty sure this is the original. Can anymore confirm?

Pieter van Rij no that is the radio edit of the DJ Garry Remix. The original version Luc made has never been released.
muzikxpress Oh really! So we’ll never hear that one. I’m still curious what it sounds like.
