LOVE this! The 2 people I first started following and watching your vids and got me pulled in to do run Disney LoL. This was great and can’t wait for part 2! 🤗👍🏻♥️. And omg Darla would be a good costume! 😄
Right?! Every time I feel down and out I remember that he gets out there and does things that I could never dream of doing and I can see...he can't. It's crazy. And I know you can attest to this- he's just as nice in person as he appears on his videos.
I ran into Sir Reznick at mile 4 during Star Wars 10k 2019 and I think he was alarmed at first because the crazy Cuban in me yelled in excitement... but then I went on to say, “oh my God, you don’t understand, I watch your vlogs on UA-cam and you are an inspiration!” He couldn’t have been nicer! And he even recorded my rambling! I hope to run into him again one day and I promise I won’t scream! You are one in a million!!!
I needed to hear that today about getting out of the comfort zone to improve. I’ve been doing a 30sec run/30 sec walk interval pretty comfortably (not fast, but feeling okay). I want to shift up slowly (b/c I’m also in TX where it’s a million degrees) and have been doing 35/30 intervals & it’s uncomfortable! 😂 I need to push through that though. 👍
You got this! One thing I've found in the TX heat is that wetting my tank top and starting the run with it dripping wet helps keep me cooler. Keep moving forward. We can do it!
I actually will be doing a weight loss video soon. It's on my list of videos to film soon. I want to do it justice- and let's be honest- I'm a little nervous to put it out there.
@@RunningInMakeup I'm in Houston - I'm the friend that works in NASA. Come on down! Well, when the pandemic is over. :) Btw, awesome videos - I don't run in makeup since I'm a dude, but you have fun videos!
@@RunningInMakeup Awesome - I'm doing that one too. I'm 2 years removed from neck surgery so it has been slow road back - hoping for good time to use for marathon weekend proof - but training in this heat is awful. :)
You and Gerald are such an inspiration! What he says about living with a vision impairment makes his running journey unlike anything we could imagine....but he lives it with such strength and inspires others through it. We can’t wait for the continuation of your interview with him.
You know how big of a deal this is for me- I know you remember that phone call after I met him for the first time saying I could die a happy person after having met one of my heroes. Well, fast forward and now one of my heroes is one of my closest friends. This is a crazy, blessed life!
RunningInMakeup Yes...I remember that call. When dad and I met him and talked with him, he made us feel like he had known us for a long time. He is so personable!
I am thankful for this little series you are doing, something to look forward to every week. I am amazed at Gerald’s fearlessness, but wholeheartedly agree “life is too short to be afraid.” Both you and Gerald are very transparent and truthful with your vlogs, I think that is what draws people into your stories 🙂 so excited there will be a Gerald Part 2! ❤️
Hi Kristen! I love your channel and I LOOOVVVEE these Inspirational Miles. I think Gerald is awesome! If I may ask about some of your equipment: what heart rate monitor do you use and what timer do you use for your interval training? Oh, and I think you were thinking of Paul Harvey's "...and now you know...the REST of the story." Take care, and thank you !! --Susan
Thank you so much!!!! I use the heart rate monitor in my Apple Watch. I've found it relatively accurate. Since I don't train by heart rate I haven't felt the need to invest in a heart rate monitor. I use the Interval Timer app on my phone to time out everything. And yes....it's Paul Harvey I was thinking of. I got part of his name right. 😉
Great interview ! I started running and I found RezRuns on UA-cam and I loved watching his videos. He is so inspiring and positive, I am excited for part 2 !!
Kristen I'm so glad you had this chat with Rez Runs. I've missed him. I'm loving these Inspirational Miles. Lots of fun topics, guests and great advise. Looking forward to Part 2 of Rez Runs ♡
I'm so excited you're enjoying them!!! I figured we could all use a pick-me-up right now. What better way to do that than chat with some of my (and your) favorite people! ❤️
this is great

Thank you for watching!! I'm so glad we convinced you to do a rundisney race!
Great chat. Can’t wait to watch the rest. I was so honoured to meet and chat with him marathon weekend.
Thank you!! There's at least another episode of him! Most likely 2 more! 😂😂😂
Always loved his videos. Such an inspiration in the way he doesn't give up and is so humble and nice in person.

Awesome series! Have you ever thought of doing a video on how you lost the weight? How you did it and what roll running played in it.

Gerald's Texas Friend here - and yes, I definitely am a transplant...hehe, small accent here, well not a Texas one, Chicago!
That’s awesome! What part of TX are you in?

😂😂😂😂that’s a great idea!!!!
Coach Karen is also my running coach! I look up to both of you so much. Thank you for helping me find my love for running!
