Danielle, I have 3 comments. 1st, you have such a discerning eye & so much discipline when you shop. I truly admire the way you carefully evaluate each purchase and don’t impulsively grab everything you like. 2nd, I also feel self-conscious when shopping at yard sales. It’s something about standing on someone’s property and pulling through their belongings. It’s personal & awkward. 3rd, what fantastic sales - so many great things to peruse. You are very lucky.
That’s exactly it! Looking through their things while they watch you feels so intrusive (on both ends haha) and then I also feel bad if I walk away with nothing! Lol 😂 thank you for watching!
I am a veteran yard saler of 25-plus years. Two comments: I do not feel embarrassed at home yard sales. What I always try to do, however, is be polite, be pleasant, be complimentary of their items, and wish the seller good luck as I leave. I have held my own yard sales and once you commit, you want it all gone! Friendliness goes a long ways. My second comment would be my #1 cardinal rule: I yard sale alone. I focus intensely and can't be distracted, and can't wait for someone else to finish up looking once I am done because there are more sales to get to! LOL!
The keys are perfect just the way you staged them. I have a large white enamel bowl that I would use for that collection but I got sick and that ended that collection. Collect now while you are young and healthy enough to shop.
You found such lovely treasures. I have a bunch on antique skeleton keys passed down from my family. I took the glass out of an old frame, covered the backer board with scrapbook paper and attached the keys to the board with hot glue. The hot glue doesn't damage the keys and easily peels off the keys if you decide to take them out of the frame and restyle them elsewhere.
I had a set of those silver and glass coasters. They’re from the late 1970’s and they didn’t cost too much. I don’t like going to yard sales or flea markets by myself but I don’t have a choice as I’m 65 and a widow and my son doesn’t like. Things like that so if I want to go, it will have to be by myself. Great video as always. Be safe out there.
My goodness, I saw a lot of things I liked, like yourself I have to show discipline and not impulse buy everything I like! I remember a lot of those hats you showed, my mother, and both my grandmother and great grandmother would wear those type of hays to church. Enjoyed your vlog!
Marlene peters- the case you thought maybe was a suit case is called a satchel. It pretty old. Back in the and i mean day doctors use to put their medicines and instruments in it. A great find. Have a great week!
You picked out some amazing things - I agree that some things were a big high in price for a garage sale - but maybe they are trying to recoup the money they spent on them.... but definitely lots of very cool things.I loved to see all the broaches - that is one of my weaknesses.
I loved the doctor bag and was hoping you got that!! I, too, used to be so intimidated at garage sales. I would drive by and IF someone else was looking, then I would get out and go to sale, but if no one else around, I just kept going. I'm getting better now, as I resell, but still feel odd at times. I try to do what someone else suggested and compliment them, say something about the weather and then wish them luck when I leave. I can leave now without feeling guilty if I don't buy anything. I would've picked up the glass paperweights for resale and the clock definitely. The first sale you went to was priced way too high!!
Great finds as always. Love the mirror. Garage sales can be fun but you’re right, mostly awkward and I really don’t get people crowding others “personal space” lol. 💜💜💜
We have a cast iron scotty dog for a door stop. I like the little girl. I'm the same way when someone gets right next to me while shopping especially when no one is barely in the store or around , like why can't you wait. I storm off like a spoiled kid, I get so mad. Nice haul!!
Love your haul, great finds. I hear ya on rummage sales, I do not ho if I'm alone and the only one there, too awkward. I display my keys in a vintage blue mason jar, works perfect.
We went a few sales this weekend. Scored very books, a very large bible that had twine and some very old news paper to keep it safe. A 2" Mrs. Beasley, so much stuff, all antique except 4 ceramic birds for the garden. I am not bashful at sales, I make offers and bundle offers. That's part of the fun. I usually hold my own once a year with music, snacks, water, ice tea. I like dealing with my customers. They have to walk away happy and I don't want to repack anything!
I feel like I am getting to know you. It's fun to try and figure out what you will pick up and actually will bring home. This makes it more fun to watch you. I also feel uncomfortable at garage sales. I get very intimidated feeling like they are watching to see if I will steal especially the smaller items like jewelry. I never would so I don't have any logical reason for it.
I love your mirror..EthanAllen,great price.😊 You went to alot of sales..i would of looked at the jewelry. You must not like people around you huh...alot of nice items.👍🌴🌞
Hello, Danielle ! Hope you're doing just fine, lovely lady 😉 Well .... What a great sale you attended. It had a bit of everything, did it not. Now, that Mirror with the hooks .... What a great feature in the home to have. Looks great in your place. Also, liked the small wind up alarm Clock. I had one like that years ago and I well remember the noise it made when the alarm went off ! 😂 Lovely video to watch again, thank you for your hard work, effort and commitment 🇬🇧👏👍😉😘
The mirror was a fantastic buy! I don't like going to yard sales alone either. I feel like I am being stared at and were watching every move I made. You got some great items. Thank you for sharing!
Hi! Your items were lovely. The first sale was awesome. So many things I saw. You are turning your into a small showcase. Can't wait until you have your own home and go hog wild! Great items at all sales.
Such fun buys. The mirror was a steal for $3.00! I like the Bibles, always. I couldn't have left the rolling pin for a dollar. I have my parent's silver baby spoons, too. And your suitcase looked really nice. You blew through those sales quickly, but got a lot of really cool buys for a very fair price. Wish I could have gone with you!
Fast, furious, and fun! You know you were not kidding about wanting to scoop up the silverware and run…but you controlled yourself. Nice haul. Brass vase with bird really cute.
There were so many great items at those yard sales! I am in love with that mirror you bought and hug on the wall with the hooks, when I saw it I hoped you would pick it up, it gorgeous! I loved that briefcase as well, it looks great with your collection of suitcases. Blue and white is sometihng I use to decorate with as well so I loved that blue plate. Great finds this day for sure.
I'd have grabbed the hat pins and the art glass fish paper weights for resale. Love the hats and footed planter, I have some millinery flower molds for sale right now, they are cool! Luggage is always good because you store stuff in it, lol. Community sales are the best, we are the country so there isn't any.
I’m so jealous of your finds especially the mirror! I just went to a vintage and antique mall today. I found 2 beautiful vintage handkerchiefs with beautiful lace and stitch designs on it and I’m embarrassed to say I paid 5.50 for one and 7.00 for the other one! Oh! And I found a glass flower frog that I love, but I paid 7.00 for that! I see the prices you pay for stuff and I just want to rent a van, drive to Texas and go shopping, because where I live, people want a fortune for stuff! 😭
Girl you always find the best stuff for cheap! My Goodwills are packed with people and the prices keep going up. I do shop garage sales but unfortunately I'm not a early morning person, ugh! By the time I get there good stuff is gone. I like estate sales.😊❤
I love this video I love these community sales The VASE with the BIRD BRASS IT'S my favorite PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO SELL IT LET ME KNOW BECAUSE I REALLY WOULD PAY YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT FOR THE VASE I LOVE IT I LOVE BRASS SOON AS I SEEN IT I THOUGHT OH I HOPE SHE GETS THE BRASS VASE YOU CAN DIS PLAY YOUR SKELETON KEYS HANGING OFF OF YOUR NEW MIRROR AND HOOKS THAT YOU BOUGHT THAT YOU HUNG ON THE WALL SKELETON KEYS REALLY LOOK GOOD HANGING FROM THOSE I ALSO LOVE IT ❤ LOVE YOUR VIDEO
Love all your finds ❤ I'm supper awkward at yards sales too. I was recently at a garage sale and it was a small garage with alot of vintage stuff there was just so many people i grabbed a couple things and left lol although I wish I had got more I did find some nice things. Suggestion to display all of your skeleton keys, you could just get a piece of old wood and put a bunch of small nails or hooks and just have them all hanging together displayed
I love all the items your brought home. My favorite is the mirror coat/hat rack. It was beautiful and I can’t believe it was only $3. There was alot of great stuff there. ❤
You find the best things, especially that mirror, I would Love to find that! Tomorrow our town is having its yearly yard sales, I know what you mean about yard sales I feel so uncomfortable and awkward being watched.
I can’t wait for garage/yard sales! I’m in Maine 🙄 still not the weather for it. And sadly I’m sure those that I find won’t have the great stuff you saw! Wow!! I hate having to ask for prices as well! Not because I’m shy but it’s just annoying to have to ask every time you see something! And I have held yard sales and I priced everything! Love all your goodies!!!!
I feel strange at yard sales as well. I hate when ppl dont price the stuff. And the women who was 1 inch away ugh personal space please. Lol. Good haul
Hi, not sure if you'll see this. You did a collaboration with a young lady, blonde, and I can't remember her channel name, and can't find that video of yours again ! Love your channel!
There were so many pieces i would have picked up. Loved the vintage suitcase. I love them. Just got 2 cream colored ones at an estate sale for $15. Looking for 1 more to mskeva side table.
I miss out on so many events, like concerts or festivals, because I have become so uncomfortable with people I don't know in my personal space. Didn't used to be that way. Old age, what can i say???
I call people like the first guy you visited 'professional yard sellers. I get irate when I spend time driving to a yard sale only to find it's someone who's basically running a resell business out of their garage. Someone who doesn't want to spend the money(or IRS filing) on a brick and mortar store. If it was a one time thing, I could completely understand, but these folks post "yard sale" every weekend when what they're doing is charging too much for vintage items because they fancy themselves as antiquers. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.
That silver plate planter that you put the vintage hats in would look so cute with some white fabric gloves draped over the side!
You did so well, wow so many garage sales 😮 in a short space of time.
Danielle, I have 3 comments. 1st, you have such a discerning eye & so much discipline when you shop. I agree about the awkwardness. For me, it’s feeling bad if I don’t purchase anything-like I’m rejecting them or something. I feel guilty!
I love the keys. When I was growing up those were r house keys. No wonder no one locked their door to have to carry around those keys!!
I am a veteran yard saler of 25-plus years. Two comments: I do not feel embarrassed at home yard sales. I absolutely love the western tooled leather Bible
You are so lucky to see so much vintage at your neighbor's sales.......my neighborhood sales rarely contain anything old. Love your haul!
Happy Thursday
Such great sales. All of your items are beautiful. Your filming is calming and a joy to watch. Thank you!
The curio cabinet you purchased is WAY more wonderful than the piece in this vid! You already have the BEST cabinet, and styled so beautifully too!
The keys are perfect just the way you staged them. I have a large white enamel bowl that I would use for that collection but I got sick and that ended that collection. Collect now while you are young and healthy enough to shop.
Love the mirror.
Great treasures! Always good to see you

Wow great finds. Chip and dip milk glass bowls. They are amazing and I collect chip and dip bowls .
The antiques were a good price for our area at least. How fun...Liz
You got some good deals. I love the mirror !
I think the suitcase looks like a Midcentury Doctor’s bag. I love it ❤
I love how you styled the keys!
Nobody does it better than you!
Wow…awesome haul! You scored for sure💗
Danielle, we received a set of those coasters when we got married in 1980 and we are still using them!
I had a set of those silver and glass coasters. They’re from the late 1970’s and they didn’t cost too much. Cute items for your pretty home. Blessings Always

That’s funny that we have that same snow belly snowman kids book!
Great finds. You could display some of your keys by hanging them on a pretty ribbon and letting them hang from a knob or handle.
I am with you. Don’t like folks encroaching on my “personal” space. I loved seeing all the old silver things. Great video!
You did good. Love it all.
You picked out some amazing things - I agree that some things were a big high in price for a garage sale - but maybe they are trying to recoup the money they spent on them.... but definitely lots of very cool things.I loved to see all the broaches - that is one of my weaknesses.
You found some great stuff, I love that you show us how you use each item at the end. Great inspiration.
Thank you!

2:24 Interesting novelty cross!
Great finds as always. Love the mirror. Garage sales can be fun but you’re right, mostly awkward and I really don’t get people crowding others “personal space” lol. 💜💜💜
Loved the hat pins I would of grabbed them never run into those things,.. have to say my fav was the iron door stop .
We have a cast iron scotty dog for a door stop. I like the little girl. I'm the same way when someone gets right next to me while shopping especially when no one is barely in the store or around , like why can't you wait. I storm off like a spoiled kid, I get so mad. Nice haul!!
Ooh I have always hoped to find a Scotty dog door stopper or bookends!
Love your haul, great finds. I hear ya on rummage sales, I do not ho if I'm alone and the only one there, too awkward. I display my keys in a vintage blue mason jar, works perfect.
Hi Danielle, love the hats. I always feel awkward too at yard sales and make my husband come with me. That suitcase looks like an old Doctor bag.
Danielle, I like everything you bought but my favorite is the mirror with the hooks. Ethan Allen is a great brand. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching!

Everything you found was awesome! As a brass lover that vase with the bird is absolutely amazing 😍 I would love to find one like it!
We are having 3 day community sale next weekend and we live in country.

Hi, thank you for watching! The only blonde girls I can remember collaborating with are Kristen Hoffman and Krysta Meeker!
Oh, you’re not strange at all, I don’t like garage/yard sales either because I just want to look in peace without having to engage with anyone.
There were so many pieces i would have picked up. Loved the vintage suitcase. I love them. Just got 2 cream colored ones at an estate sale for $15. Looking for 1 more to mskeva side table.
Thank you for watching!
I seriously question the sanity of anyone who sells their transferware at a yard sale 🤣🤣🤣. I joke of course
Hahah right!
I miss out on so many events, like concerts or festivals, because I have become so uncomfortable with people I don't know in my personal space. Didn't used to be that way. Old age, what can i say???
Where is this? I want those plates!
This was a community yard sale
@@HomeMadeVintage wish I knew what community, but I understand you can't share that.

I would of just bought a bunch of stuff,, I’m not one to pass things up,, u nvr know
I've never been a fan of garage sales.
lol I’m the same with garage sales…love them, but hate when I’m the only person there. It’s like being under surveillance 🫤
I think you can totally find a hook, Danielle.🤎👏🏻
