This is literally the first time I've ever seen Angus NOT dressed like a school boy.
Ha ha ha - yeah! I must admit, that I secretly crossed my fingers and hoped that he would wear the uniform for my interview 😂
@@TinyTV_DK Stage persona only.
@@TinyTV_DK Angus has never done interviews in his school uniform. I’ve seen so many here in Australia when the band first started and overseas. , yes I’m definitely not young lol
well there is a video where he plays with Slash dressed with a worn out T Shirt and Jeans
I guess we could say you're very
I picture Marshall amps in every room of Angus’s house. I think he’s in the kitchen for this.
Hahahah I was thinking exactly the same!
Yeah! I was thinking just that! 😂
HIs bed is a triple(king-sized width) Marshall stack, and his bathtub is the hollowed-out remains of a Marshall stack as well. hehe
Maybe thats the bathroom
In a shocking twist, all his rooms contain Fender amps except this one, the backyard shed.
Take a shot every time Angus says y’know
YES! And turn off the lights, so it’ll be a “Shot In The Dark” 🙈 Best drinking game evaaar
⚡️😂⚡️
I count 19 shots! (Had to check).
@@Mikishots YES!!! Loved that you checked mate 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So you want me to destroy my liver?
I can’t drink like that anymore...damnit.
I must admit.. angus seems like a guy you can have a beer with and just chill.. very humble
Edit : ok so I didn't know Angus didn't drink Alcohol ..ok I get it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would like to have a glass of water or milk with him. Better ?
A friend of my guitar teacher once said he bumped into Angus and Malcolm in a cafe in the US about a decade ago. Went up to say "Hi" and just to thank them and walk away, but they basically invited him to sit down with them for a coffee and a chat for half an hour. Another guy I met at a music festival I played at said that back in the 70's he saw three guys playing tennis in the next door neighbour's back yard court, so he thought to join them, and they welcomed him without question to make up the 4th for doubles, and it turns out it was the Angus, Malcolm and another Young brother who were visiting a friend for a few days.
I agree with you. He is a very humble guy and easy-going. One thing you may not know is that he doesn't drink and never has. He smokes a lot of cigarettes and drinks tea!
What I wouldn't give to have done the same with Bon Scott.
Cup of tea
You better make that a cup of tea or a glas of milk mate, Angus Young doesn't drink alcohol. I think he's done it once, to celebrate Malcolm's first child but that's the only time, as far as I know
I love how Angus is sitting in a beat up leather chair.
I just love Angus!
pure legend
They are more comfortable at that point!
Me too i hate breaking in a new chair
Frasier Crane's dad made him dig his dad's old recliner out of the city dump when he came home from work and saw the new recliner in the living room Frazier had bought him for his birthday. He demanded his tore up, taped up recliner put back in his house.
I shook Angus hand in Houston, Texas in 1979...And had Bon Scott sign 4 ticket stubs for the girls that were there, with us that night. Bon died about 6 months later, and I still have my Angus autograph!
😱😱😱 I would have LOVED to see AC⚡️DC on the 1979 tour 🎸🔥
I guess he shook you all night long?
@@TinyTV_DK I saw them in 78 and 79 Greensboro NC fantastic shows!!
@@terrycrotts2522 I envy you soooo much man! :-D
@@TinyTV_DK Angus on top of Bons shoulders coming out in the crowd was the epic moments of those shows!! You could actually feel the sweat from angus hair!! That’s how close we were one show!!
Good to hear that Aussie accent still lives in him when he's back here at home
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Fair dinkum bloke.
'ken oath mate
How - da fuc - does a 1.04k sub channel organise to interview Angoose? What a privilege! Thanks to both of you for doing this. The questions were great!
Thanks a lot mate 🙏🏻 I have worked as a radiohost for The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) for 15 years ✌🏻 So this interview was made for a DR podcast (in Danish), this new UA-cam channel and a written article in a Danish newspaper. So a lot of reach 🎸⚡️🎸 But really really happy that you like ❤️
@@TinyTV_DK I tip my hat to you good sir. This is clearly the result of a lot of hard work on your part. Thanks for giving us this!

most dangerous album, that describes Highway to hell perfectly, great interview 👍
Thank you very much Andrew. Glad you liked it 🤩🙏🏻
Highway to Hell was written about a trip on the Canning Highway in Western Australia to Raffles pub which was a big rock 'n roll drinking hole in the '70s. As Canning Highway gets close to the pub, it dips down into a steep decline.
Highway to hell is the most fun song to play, no effects, no pedals, just plug in your guitar straight to the amp, it's crazy fun.. Imagine just a few chords can literally make your day better in every way possible
I Love ACDC , Status Quo , Rolling Stones , Kiss , Queen , Def Leppard , Judas Priest and many more its all Rock n Roll
Nice to see someone put Quo down on the list of "usual" suspects of rock bands. All great bands, fortunate enough to see most live. Still need to tick DC off the list 🤞2021,22.
Aerosmith
@@1alsturgeon Quo are one of the ultimate live bands consistently for 50 years
The world without AC/DC , without Angus will be very poor World
Agreed! 🙏🏻
Please don't even mention that. The world's a better place because of AC/DC.
I really like the way you lead in to the question, the way his face lit up and he laughed was so genuine. I think hearing such a thing was refreshing. He probably hears the same questions all the time and you threw something nice and fresh in.
Thank you very much for saying this. I always try to make my interviews a kind of "natural conversation". Even with people I've never met. But that requires a lot of preparation and hard work. So I'm very happy to hear, that my thorough work pays off and that you notice the questions in the way that you do. Thank you! 🙏🏻
Exactly.Couldnt wait to hear Angs response.
@@TinyTV_DK hello
@@TinyTV_DK G'day from Oz and sending a huge congratulations to Anders for conducting such a relaxed and enjoyable interview. Great intro even surprised Angus 👍🍻
Why is Highway to Hell still so good? Easy... Bon Scott. That is all.
I heard a crack of thunder last night and realise it was Mal tuning ‘The Beast’
RIP you wonderful Aussie.
Angus seems like a great guy, and a heck of a guitarist. I admit though, Malcolm is the one I really listened to, that groove he had, man it's hard to beat, and Malcolm really influenced me to find that groove in my playing, though I fall short for sure. I always liked how humble the guys were, and they appreciated their fans. I admit, I had a hard time after Bon passed, I really loved that era. I came to appreciate and like Bryan, been a fan since of all the guys.
Thanks for a great comment Dale. Really interesting reading in. In the full interview, which will be uploaded this Friday, Angus talks so fondly about his relationship with Malcom, that it almost brought tears to my eyes 😳😭❤️ There's a new excerpt from the interview out now: ua-cam.com/video/KKptJjhe7gw/v-deo.html
The rhythm playing is played and coordinated by BOTH Angus and Malcolm.
They were great together, don’t forget George too.
The Easybeats - Friday On My Mind
Timeless music. It will never grow old. And yes it does seem like it was only done yesterday. Awesome.
Yeah 🤫🗿🎸
I still listen to it
I was born in 2001, may be we can call a pop/hip hop generation, but i like Rock type of music. They're still the best.
Bon’s lyrics too had a lot to do with how amazing Highway To Hell is. His words made the songs even bigger, more interesting and special. R.I.P, Ronald Belford “Bon” Scott
Very true indeed! RIP Bon ❤️🔥
After Bon Scott, Angus became to be the spokesman and he is amazingly down to earth and sharp despite all his headbanging and running about like an maniac.
One could easy have belived that there will not be a single braincell left intact.
He was my absolute hero when I was young and I am so glad to see him ageing within respect, a normal man but still ha hell of an guitarist.
I love Who Made Who. The driving force and brains behind the band was George Young (Angus' older brother) of Vader and Young fame. George is a genius.
Good to see their are no cognitive issues. He's sharp as a tack. Remebers some pretty nuanced details. RIP Malcom
I can’t tell you how many times I listened to this album straight through, this is such a freaking awesome album front to back.
What a fantastic interview!!!! I love the band, but Angus is my favorite of all the guys. He’s the reason I picked up a guitar. While everyone else was listening to Christina A. and the Backstreet Boys - I was listening to AC/DC.
I was so shy ( still am) as a teenager to the point it was unhealthy. AC/DC made those years enriching. The band and especially Angus was the reason I became a band nerd, a book nerd, a music nerd, and an Art nerd.
I had my 5 friends ( still have them today after 21 years) and AC/DC. Back In Black, The Jack, and Thunderstruck are the 3 songs I listen to most while doing home work for my Anatomy and Physics class.
Thunderstruck is the song I was listening to while getting my first speeding ticket.
Cop: Where are you going to in such a hurry?
Me: My gas pedal was Thunderstrucked
I could go on, but I’ve spoken enough. I can’t reiterate enough as to how much I love this band. I’d love to meet Angus before I die. I don’t care about an autograph, nor do I care about a picture. I’d just love to converse with him extensively about the History of Music.
Oh Kirsten, WHAT A COMMENT!
fantastic see talk man lots respt for them
Angus and Malcolm what's the best interview I ever seen and guys you got my support all the time whatever you guys need I'm there for you good night I love you guys
Are you high!??
He definitely had to be 😂
The world’s best all round ROCKER!!!
Highway to hell back in black they are legendary fresh fell every time you listen its perfect work.
Love Angus,so down to earth Angus is! Love Ac/DC love it all Rock's
I have always loved AC/DC since the first note I heard them play !!!!! You can recognize them instantly!!!!
I actually think compared to Powerage, H to H was a bit too polished. The rawness of Powerage was AC/DC at the absolute top of their game
Anders, Hello from Alameda, CA., USA. I was actually lucky enough to see them in ‘78 on the Powerage tour & then again on the Highway to Hell tour in ‘79. The ‘79 show is on UA-cam, search AC/DC, Day on the Green”. During this time, with Bon out front, they were the greatest R&R band in history, IMHO.
WOW MIKE! You saw AC/DC two years before I was even born! :-D Soooo jealous. Would have loved to see them back then :-)
Yeah powerage is my favourite, banging and raw beginning to end
High voltage was pretty damn good to
@@wild8757, I agree. “Touch too Much” is one of the Bon era’s best. You could see the direction the band was heading with Malcolm & Bon firmly at the helm creatively.
Long live AC/DC
“Most Dangerous Album in the World” Your Uncle got that right!
Mark from Melbourne Australia
AC/DC fan since Grade 5, 1975.
Thanks for commenting and watching Tiny TV. Really means a lot to me Mark. I love that you Australians keep on showing support for your bands as the grow older (and wiser) 👍
You beat me by a year. I'm also from Melbourne and did an Angus impersonation on the school stage, in Grade 4 in 1976. I found out many years later that at the time the band was living only two miles from me.
@@TinyTV_DK Also, in the 1990s I lived two doors up from the house (in Lansdowne Road, St Kilda East) that in 1976 AC/DC lived in.
@@maddyg3208 Oh Maddy, if only you had known, you probably could have had them playing at your school for almost peanuts.
i’m a young aussie and honestly this is the first ‘personal’ interview i’ve seen of angus and i’m fairly surprised how chill and uncle-like he is 😂 reminds me of chats with my pop and uncles hahhah what a bloody legend! just goes to show you can be one of the biggest icons in music history and still go on to live a healthy, happy, and chill long life!
First time I saw a performer come up through the floor was Angus at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. What an amazing location, crowd, show, day and memory.
I had the exact same experience in Vancouver, Canada 30 years ago and it’s still the best concert of my life.
Internet: How many times can you say "you know" in six minutes?
Angus Young: Yes!
Love this guy!
Such a humble man for being such a rock and roll God.
This was hand down amazing. To tell a story about your own life which leads up to Highway to Hell without being an arrogant prick at all during the story...that's a skill. I really enjoyed this.
Lukas! Thank you SO much! I always try to mix in a bit of "my own story" when talking to "life-changing musicians". So I REALLY appreciate, that you pick up on this and that you like it. Means a lot to me. So thanks for watching and thanks for commenting 🙏🏻❤️
"In a time where getting together with your mates and partying and getting the beers in and shagging and living it up is all but illegal, as a reminder of just how powerful and timeless the very idea of these wonderful things are, AC/DC have never felt more necessary or vital." -- Nick Ruskell of Kerrang!
Why is AC/DC'S song highway to hell still so good to this very day while i can name endless reasons I'm just going to name the two main reasons and that's 1. Angus Young's legendary opening riff because when you here that you automatically know it's highway to hell and 2. Bon Scott's trademark vocals that cat like yowling sound that made him the greatest frontman of all-time. That's why highway to hell both the song and the entire album still sound so good over 41 years later. It's a timeless classic that will never go out of style.
Mutt Lange's production and great back up vocals probably had something to do with it!
Awesome conversation! AC/DC is my all time favorite band and always has been. What a great relief in this tough year! Going to cherish this new album for a long time. Can’t wait for the rest of the interview!
Thank you very very much! 😎🙏🏻 And yeah, a New AC/DC album is really needed in this strange year 2020 😳 The full interview is avaliable in about 30 minutes 👍🏻
Wow, Angus, what a True Story!, Thanks for sharing the history with us. This time, me and my friends, we worked hard and Rocked even harder to AC/DC and the other greats coming out at that time. Thank you for this Interview, and Hello from Alaska.
I bought my first ACDC album "If you want blood" in 1983 I think. But Highway has always been my favourite. Seen them 3 times- each time different but still brilliant 😜
@David D Rock running blood pressure is expl solidgoldivan music nice meeting you
he looks so amazing lolz I hope I can meet him one day!.
No dislikes... That s how it s supposed to be when Angus is on video!
Highway to Hell recorded in a weekend. That's why it is still so great. Instantaneous spontaneity.
I absolutely agree! 🙏🏻 Fantastic album, still to this day ⚡️❤️⚡️
I think he meant they got the songs written in that weekend. They recorded it in London and it too a lot longer than a weekend.
This is such a wonderful interview and Angus seems so kind!
You did a great job with this interview, Anders!
Lotta respect for ya!
Thank you SO much Dhruv. It gives me SO much joy to realise that this interview can bring happiness even a year after it was released 😻✌🏻
@@TinyTV_DK Rock and metal will live on!!
The story you told him at the beginning was a fresh new thing for me!
I wish more people would talk to the person they interview instead of just asking them the same boring questions everyone already knows!
Good on you mate!
Angus Young was the most electric high energy lead guitarist in the world. This guy knew how to put on a hell of a show and was an amazing guitarist. My first guitar back in somewhere around 93' was gifted to me by a man who was a close friend to my father. Out of a hundred of guitars on his walls I gravitated towards a 1976 Gibson SG with double humbuckers because of how much I adored Angus Young. I still have it until this day and it's worth a buttload of money but I wouldn't sell it even if I was on the streets living under a bridge.
Glad to see he’s doing well
I was born in 1980 as well. First AC/DC songs I heard was Highway to Hell and Girls Got Rhythm on one of my dad's mix tapes when I was 6 or 7, and I was a fan from that very moment! I remember being on the bus in first grade with my walkman, listening to it and the 6th graders wanted to know what I was listening to, so I showed them, and they were like "This kid's listening to AC/DC... your mom lets you listen to this stuff?" :D
What a legend, great to see him these days in the flesh!
He is one of the reasons I picked up a guitar 🖤 Angus and Malcolm

Well done for your interview. U asked the question and let the master talk . 😎
Thank you very much Scott. I always try to give people the time they need to express themselves 🙏🏻
How the hell does he still remembers all the details 40 years ago.
Yeah, really beats me! It's quite amazing what he actually remembers. Tomorrow morning at 07.00 (Danish time) the full interview will premiere here on Tiny TV. In the full version, Angus talk about his FIRST guitar amp AND his FIRST guitar. Such great stories 👍🎸❤️
Because he remained sober all those years lol ask Phil how much he remembers
People never forget the best days of their lives :)
Lack of drugs haha
The same way I can recall all the details form 30-40-50 years ago.....I never did drugs.
"We were lucky..." My goodness, bless him. This album is incredible. I blew the speakers on my record player playing this record when I was a teen.
No flash style of "look at me" - no big headedness - no pretence - and most of all - no foul language or mouth like a sewer, which most of the second rate clowns have when interviewed. Angus is the best example in history of a true rock n roll legend both as a person and a brilliant musician , plus fantastic showman - Thank you Angus Young for being on the planet, the same time as me !
Great interviwer, great interviewee and great interview!
Dude this is awesome! Angus’ achievements have been incredible. He can literally tell anyone ‘my friend, brother and I wrote Highway to Hell in a weekend’. Beat that 😆 can’t wait to listen to the new album 🤘
Thanks for this video. Been a fan since '85 and still is PoweredUp
You weren't lucky, Angus. You rocked my soul with that album, as a new guitarist...and caused me to visit your back catalog, as well. Thank you for your input , and me always playing a Gibson SG!
That’s so great to hear! Love when music and musicians inspire 🎸❤️ This is an excerpt. In the full interview (coming this friday) Angus talks about his first Gibson SG and his first amp 🕺⚡️🕺
HTH is really the most dangerous album of all time.. It made me a fan of AC/DC back in 84' when I was 7 years old and is the reason I started playing guitar and got into music at all.. Thank you Angus and friends!
Great interview. Well done.
Thank you very very much J Hawk 🙏🏻😎🙏🏻
Angus = Legend. Much respect....just WOW.
An absolute legend. "Not even the best guitarist in my band" ...Angus Young.
It's a testament to how good the music is to still sound fresh in 2020 I am actually listening now to High Voltage, it still sounds fresh, then listen to some 80's Metal particularly the days of hairspray it sounds dated, but 70's AC/DC will not get old, but I am 55 this will crack many fans up, about Fly on the Wall people started to say they are only 3 chords band and people started to turn away from the band , this was the time bands like Van Halen, Maiden , Metallica where just tearing it , but Rock and Roll does not have to be complicated to be good, and AC/DC is not easy to replicate, the backend of Mal Phil and Cliff, is one of the best rock rhythm section in the business, I seen AC/DC 3 times sadly not with Bon but that first show in 1981 For Those About to Rock Tour, that first song Hell Bells when those three came into the song it was like a train running you over crazy rhythm then Angus comes it like the icing on the cake, then Brian well just added icing on the cake lol
And WHAT a nice "icing on the cake" Brian was :-D I absolutely love your words man! And I think you are absolutely right in saying that "rock n' roll does not have to be complicated". I also love The Ramones and yeah they are all about 1-2-3-4 rock-punk-rock as well. But damn they were good in there own garagerock way
So happy one of the ACDC members has done an interview to show that they are ok they have been out of the limelight for a long long time
A true legend!!!
Me: lets put some backround music on while i work...
Me 5 minutes later: air guitaring across my bedroom on one leg trying to be angus
YES! So damn relatable! 😂🎸✊🏻
This is a great interview. I actually met Angus himself when I was 8 years old. They were on tour for Stiff Upper Lip and the Make-A-Wish Foundation had planned a trip for me and my folks to go see AC/DC perform live in Edmonton at the Skyreach Centre (now called the Northlands Coliseum). We got backstage passes and met the band (Cliff, Brian, Malcolm, Angus and Phil). It was the most amazing night of my life. And the opening act was Wide Mouth Mason. Even have a few pictures and autographs that I kept for all these years. I look back at them and still remember that amazing night.
The last concert I saw AC/DC i watched in amazement as Angus just took over the show at the old Meadowlands Giants stadium.I never saw a guitarist in a band do that and I doubt I ever will again. And I have seen almost every one.
Great interview.

I think Angus is a great role model. On stage he's 100% rock n roll, but off stage is a quiet humble person. He doesn't drink or do drugs and he's been married to the same woman since forever.

LOL in 1980 this guy was born...in 1980 I was 11 years old and had the older kids in my neighborhood invite us over to a kids house that stayed up all night at Tower Records to buy Back in Black. Smoked pot in a home made corn cobb pipe...hearing the greatest rock on roll band playing the greatest rock and roll album made. When I heard on the news the Malcolm died, I wept. I had to try the best way to explain to my kids why dad was crying. AC/DC is the greatest rock band ever. Back in Black is easily one of the best records made. Angus and Malcom the greatest rock guitar duo ever. There was so much going on for me at that moment I heard Back in Black. When Malcolm died, it made my world smaller. As a guitar player, Malcolm and Angus might be the best duo ever. It was hard for me to deal with the death of Malcolm. Pre teen hearing such an iconic album with the older kids...high as hell. I don't care much about artists, but the Angus brothers, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, (along with the Allman Brothers Band) are special to me for many reasons. I hate seeing Angus getting old. Rock on brother.
