- My Sons Huawei P20 Lite android smartphone which I gave to him as a gift has stopped charging this is what I did to fix it and get the phone charging again.

Thanks for your help, this worked for me and it also sorted out the loose cable connection due to all the hidden dirt I found when cleaning the charging socket, keep up the good work, Roger, Ireland

Hi.. I changed my charging port and battery but still not charge can it be that black ribbon
A tip....the fingerprint sensor connection is very easily damaged so when changing a battery it is best to just leave it connected, just put the back of the phone laying besides the phone as you switch batteries, also sometimes you may think you have a dud battery but first clean the battery charging port as just a little dirt/fluff can stop the connection.
And does it charge after the replacement? my p20 doesn't charge but it stays on for 30 seconds (2% battery) before he shuts down itself. the problem is the battery or the Port?

Bro, before this happened, is your phone restarting at random times? Because my Huawei Novat 5T was restarting at random times when the phone is idle. Then suddenly yesterday, even though it's 80% charged, it turned off by itself and it is no longer turning on.
a) When you connect charger there's no indicator light.
b) When you hold power button for 15 secs nothing happened.
c) When you hit volume up/down + power button, nothing.
Do you think it's battery as well? Does the battery really get defective that quick? My phone is 8 months old. :(

the same happened to my huawei mate 20 pro. does not go further than the logo. I am ordering a new battery. hopefully it will solve the problem

You should wait for it to flash. If it flashes quickly, leave it for 30 mins and then once it starts flashing slowly, turn it on and check.
I have a Huawei tablet that even with a decent branded plug and charging lead, charges like 5% every half an hour 😔

@@edmundrbx6546 yes but they just said that its not under warranty ,because they said it has liquid and not under warranty but i never put liquid in my phone especially in the charging portal. so i need to pay 1400 and they will repair it.
@@mixed1216 - too bad I only just found this video & your comment because you've probably bought a new phone by now. My son & I had the same problem until I thought of having a good look into charging port under a magnifying light. Success!!! I poked around inside the charge port & found loads of dust that had turned into solid compacted lumps every time the charger got shoved in there, even a bit of paper as well. I used a pin & the tip of a toothpick to flick out the dirt. I managed to fix all 3 of my sons phones & mine also. I'm sure this is what must happen to many peoples phones. My son kept buying new ones because they always told him the charging port isn't included in the warranty because its external.

My honor 8c stuck at 76% whenever i charge the Mobile at switched off but it will further charging while on condition what is the problem???
mine stuck at 21% i even charge it overnight and when i look its still 3%
@@dylanfrancisfalcone8465 - try cleaning out the charge port on your phone. They get dust & dirt stuck inside them. When you shove the charger in it compacts the dust & grit and eventually the contacts aren't connecting properly. Worth a try, nothing to lose if its not working properly anyway.
