    Though I haven't tried it yet, I guess steaming works too. It's gonna be sticky, so maybe you can dust coconut flakes on top after streaming can cooling the cake?

    Second time I played this video, I wanted to make some cassava cake that is very simple and authentic that I can taste the simplicity. Being in abroad I missed the filipino authentic foods especially like cassava cake. Yes We make them just like this one, I don’t care much for too much extra ingredients such as condensed milk .

    yes you can, in fact that would be even better, but I am too lazy to go through the grating process hehe. I heard you have to soak the peeled cassava in water overnight to get rid of the toxic inside. Just weigh the grated amount and follow the recipe. Good luck :)

    We have a similar-ish dessert back home. We call it "Enyucado". It's delicious.

    No, for this cake you have to serve it cool. Freshly baked cake is not ready to serve.

    You can peel and soak fresh cassava overnight in cold water. Then grate or grind in a food processor. The rest is the same.

    Mình không biết bánh của bạn làm ra như thế nào nhưng mình thấy có vẻ bánh hơi bị khô vì lượng coconut milk mình nghĩ là chưa đủ. Với bánh này bạn nên nướng bằng khuôn bằng kim loại để cho 2 mặt bánh được vàng đều, như thế sẽ ngon hơn. Thanks

    I looked at the full recipe, but I could not see if I can use regular cassava flour, or if it has to be frozen grated. Any recommendations?

      For this recipe you need grated cassava, not cassava flour

    I recommend that people don't use fresh cassava because it has cyanide in it. If you don't soak it correctly I heard it will still have substantial amount of cyanide in it. However this cake looks good, so I will try to find the frozen cassava at an Asian store the next time I go to one.

      her targeted audience is non-vietnamese people therefore she used english since it is more well-known around the globe. plus if you are looking for a cooking channel that speaks vietnamese, im sure there are plenty around youtube.
