Driving on Finnish highway #9 Orivesi-Tampere 20-04-24

Handheld. It's around 1300 solar time. The cabin fan regulator is broken so it stays on. I have the winter tires on, my wife's driving. Many people changed into regular tires already, so the state has salted the road.
Observe:
-narrow raceway insulated 20kV lines on the left.
-probably the world's slimmest 400kV pylons on the left! They stand straight in reality, there's a lense distortion.
The fence is for keeping elk and deer off the road, a very common sight here.

i thought by now you would have had better weather, no snow at least, i know it can be a fickle month, but its almost May.

In 1982 I was in Lapland and it snowed 5 cm of fresh snow on the Midsummer say.

@Itapirkanmaa2 my mum was born near Muonio, have been to Kilpisjarvi 10 years ago, middle summer and could still see snow or ice on the mountains as we drove over the border into Norway. Great area.

@@leomat3431 Yes mt Saana in Kilpisjärvi has some snow till late June. It's the only small fraction we have of the Norwegian mountains.

Jo ser ut som den mörkaste november. Ett halvt år och vi är ännu på samma fotspår. Och det snöade kvarstående redan i november också.
