Can you make an electrify smite build with ward? A lot of people have been saying its fun
The fact that you can buy idols has me considering MG for the next cycle. It'd really help me out when trying to get new builds going.
That was the primary factor in me switching to MG. Being able to have the idols necessary for certain builds to get started is extremely nice.

probbly the most satisfying thing in the game for me right now is just finding verry expensive items and seeing them be sold for 1 mil +
thats why i hate arpgs that severly limit or dont have trading, participating in an arpg's economy is like a game unto itself, i love it.
Wait till you get that drop for 100M+, i got a chest to sell for 450M. Instantly blew 100M on my alts lol
@@MoistLlama69 Bit late, ive been playing last epoch for 1.5 weeks ish now with a few buddys, i considered grinding the rep to level up MG as we've all been CoF since the beginning as it just seemed most fun and more new player friendly (just to clarify im not new to arpgs, i have 2k hours in poe and traded alot). However i suspect that at 2 months into the cycle since this game is far from as popular as it was the first 2-4 weeks of the cycle and no where near the playerbase poe has, that it would be a waste of my time cus i wouldnt be able to really sell anything and therefore never get the gold to even buy the items needed for my build. Do you reckon its still active enough to utilize it rather easy or is CoF untill next cycle a better call?
After a lot of thought put into it, i might switch to MG cause it seems to be a lot more friendly to the way i play, manly going from one build to another (i'm on my 4th character lol). Later i may play CoF with Solo Characters. I thought i would never endup playing MG when we first heard about factions but its good that we get so many people with doubts on what to choose, even if CoF might endup being better in the end lol.

Are you able to switch from CoF to merchants and if you can do you loose progress in CoF once you go to merchants? Not to sure on how it works.
You can switch and you won't loose your reputation as in your rank.
However you will loose any unused favours.
Also any items you have from your faction can't be used if you leave that faction.

For casual players like me, getting to Rank 10 is impossible... not sure why they couldn't just give up on those ranks like it's in POE
you do not need rank 10 at all for full benefits of mg, 99% of market needs only rank 8 which u reach as soon as you reach lvl 100 or 99, which takes less than 30h gameplay
I'd thought we could keep our items when switching between factions though. I bought some of my core items from MG and wanted to switch to CoF but I had replacement for the uniques and set items I use
What ia even the point of money in this game other than for stash tabs?
Buying other peoples gear on the merchants guild auction houses. Literally nothing else. Except you don’t just spend gold, you spend the favor you earn too. It’s super grindy and some of the best items cost BILLIONS of gold 😂
Personally I feel the merchants guild is lacking. CoF has their ranks but similar to them but on top of that they have prophecies. I thibk ther Merchants needs additional components to stack up. Maybe they have an adventures and/or blacksmith guilds that sell supplies for favor, or a portable bank/porter/bag space or have higher potential on their gear.
I hit rank 10 cof early and decided to try how fast I can regear my character in mg within two days my character was already a lot stronger. Sure you get more loot in cof but if you want power you cant beat mg.
@@KoreW1 There are peaks and valleys to both. Depending on what mastery you play, the time you play will determine what is available. Best case is to have both and switch back and forth probaly.
But as you say CoF just has a vastly inflated loot pool, so if you are trying to chase P2+ then isn't it just a numbers game? If your a warlock for example it's very popular right now so their gear has an inflated price.
are u saying its lacking in power or in which aspect? cause powerwise CoF doesnt come even close to what MG provides
@@mishka3304 Well I would assume someone from the Merchant's Guild will keep their best items for their class and then sell their old gear and maybe side grades and stuff for other classes, especially in cycles. They both have their merits but for someone that is playing a popular specialty they will likely have to pay higher premiums as that is just how supply and demand works.
On the other hand CoF goes with the law of averages and has higher chances of getting higher quality of items for themselves.
@@billdecou242if your build only uses exalted items cof might be slightly better, but otherwise not even close
