Gosh he's so underrated. Everyone loves Tame Impala, everyone loves Crystal Castles, but I never see Neon Indian brought up in music circles when he's essentially both of them combined and more.
None of those bands even compare to Crystal Castles. Just because both use synthetizers? Crystal Castles has an incredible dark and violent vibe which is completly absent from Tame and Neon Indian. Neon Indian is just good pop with a touch of Vapourwave samples and nostalgia, but nothing more actually. Honestly, I feel Neon Indian completly devoid of originality and pretty vulgar.
I'll never forget hopping onto GTA to hear my all time favorite Neon Indian song play unexpectedly on Radio Mirror Park. Then they added Change Of Coast which he apparently made for GTA.. thank you Rockstar for spreading this underrated gem of a Musician.

Before randomly selecting this song one summer night long ago, my musical tastes were rather bland and Average at best but after my younger mind heard this song my life truly changed! I made it a point to search for songs of gold not often heard by the ears of the many and the price I pay for this, is now when people ask me what kind of music I enjoy, I don't even know what to say because this song sent me on a life long quest and now my selection is so vast that saying "a little bit of everything" Just doesn't quite cut the cake.
