I loved the Commodores when Lionel Richie was with them before he went solo in the eighties. He had a huge solo career but the Commodores were one of the best R&B groups ever. This is one of my favorite songs from this group...also check out their hits, Zoom, Still, Three Times a Lady, Brick House (Walter Orange lead sings), etc. The members of the Commodores were (and are) Lionel Richie, Walter Orange, William King, Skyler Jet, Milan Williams, Ronald LaPread, Thomas McClary, Sheldon Reynold, and James Dean Nicholas.
Took this music for granted thought I would have great singers all my life.
That's what I grew up with in the 1970s. My other favorite song by them is 'Sail On'. Just incredible music and songwriting! Talent on display!
