    The script for this is a bit over the top. Also Cassibawn castle is not in Rosses Point, its in Mullaghmore . Nice imagery though even if one of the stock images used is not Sligo at all!

    My grandparents are from Sligo. I grew up in the North of Ireland (Co.Down). But i might retire there. Bring my family full circle & go home.

      That sounds like a beautiful way to bring your family’s story full circle-retiring in Ireland would be a wonderful way to reconnect with your roots!

    Whilst doing family research I found out my ancestor Patrick was transported from Sligo in the late 1790s he was 16, they say he stole clothes or was hiding weapons in clothes it’s not clear. Thanks for this it’s beautiful and sad at the same time.

    Who ever narrated this video seems to think Classybawn is in Rosses Point! Wrong Its in Mullaghmore which is miles away from Rosses Point, by the way... and why is there a shot of Ballyshannon Town which is in Co. Donegal in a video which relates to Co. Sligo slightly confusing to many people here.... Get your facts straight Thanx

    As a transplant which I'm very upset about because I live in Chicago instead of gorgeous Sligo town... She sounds unbelievable it's just too fluffy... Could have been so much more in this... I wish my mother didn't want us to live in America.... I wanted to go back to live in Ireland since I was little... The Euro messed up everything there... And whoever painted that beautiful building dark blue aqua blue and white on the garavogue made it an eyesore

    Hello, we are group of 10+ people who want to go to sligo… what is the mode of transportation to reach these spots?

    • @globetrekker1670
      @globetrekker1670  4 місяці тому

      In that case, considering your group size of over 10 people, renting a private bus or van might be the most convenient option. This way, you can travel together comfortably and have the flexibility to explore different spots in Sligo at your own pace. Additionally, private transportation allows for easier coordination and ensures everyone stays together throughout the trip. Have a wonderful time exploring Sligo with your group!

    Isn’t it always raining?

    • @globetrekker1670
      @globetrekker1670  11 місяців тому +1

      Not at all! While Ireland, including Sligo, is known for its occasional rain, it's not always raining. Sligo experiences a variety of weather, from sunny days to misty ones. It's all part of the beautiful, ever-changing Irish climate.

    How can it be "hidden"???

    • @globetrekker1670
      @globetrekker1670  4 місяці тому

      Sligo may not be as widely known as some other destinations, hence the term "hidden gem." Its stunning landscapes, rich history, and cultural attractions often surprise visitors who may not have considered it before. It's all about perspective and discovering the beauty that may not be immediately apparent.
