How to make the easiest tree for cake

- In this video, I will show you how to make a quick and easy palm tree for your cake, including three different leaf styles. As a cake decorator, you will almost certainly be asked to make one sooner or later, and this tutorial will teach you how to make one that is three-dimensional, sturdy, and ready to put on your cake without a lot of drying time. It's a great technique for beginners because it's simple and doesn't require any sculpting or painting skills.
I will be including a lot of cake decoration tutorials for beginners on my channel because I wish I would've known some simple tricks when I was first starting out. The first time I made a palm tree, it took me forever AND it broke when I put in on the cake. Now that I know this fail proof technique, making palm trees is a breeze. Using the exact knife you can also slice into the trunk (vertically) 1/2 through and lay your wire in the center, add water and seal closed. That way you don’t have to push through the fondant and squishing it.
