How does it work in real sports racing with out of bounds laps? If you go off the track, does the lap still count? I think it does. If you think about it, he did travel further and broke out of the barrier and back in multiple times.

This basically looks like a castle siege. Many things dropped from the tower, and a lot of shouting and this pure urge to outsmart the enemy. Grate vid guys!
You could make a whole new channel, (The How Ridiculous Racing League) with videos of just this.

2 ways Scott was treated unfairly.
1. In almost every racing league, you get docked for cutting the corner but you don’t get docked for going wide out of the course.
2. Scott drove 3/4ths of each “cheated” lap within the bounds and missed the finals by 1/4th of a lap.
The most fascinating part of this video is that someone is brave enough to wear a Miami Dolphins shirt in public.

I'll agree that this shouldn't be allowed in the future, BUT it wasn't explicitly disallowed and every time he drove over the barrier he risked flipping his car which I would argue puts his car at greater risk than staying on track.
