Wonderful! I took the same way (RORO) from Iloilo to Cebu via Escalante - I loved riding along the Cebu coast to Toledo and finally to Cebu....I really loved going through the mountain enjoying the magnificent view to be greeted by Cebu city as my final destination....my bike was also an ADV 160. Watching your video inspires me to tour the rest of the Philippines when I return later this month!! Thanks for sharing!!
@@MarjunTacder they're not wrong. Cebu is on another level in terms of development. It's like Manila 0.5. It's 10 years ahead of Iloilo. But you're not wrong, either. Iloilo is more livable and less chaotic than Cebu
The red brick Balay-nga-Bato Spanish building (2:55) is the Museum.of Philippine Economic History housed at the Elizalde y Ynchausti building . Entrance us free. Beside it at the right side is the historic Ker and Company bldg , where sugar transactions were made by Sir Nicholas Loney and the hacenderos who exported sugar to Europe. At the background of Sunburst Park ls another museum (3:07), the Museum of Philippine Maritime History at the Casa de Aduana building.. Entrance is also free. In front of the Sunburst Park and the Museum of Philippine Matitime History is the is the oldest movie theater in Iloilo City, the Regent Theater, iriginally called Palace Theater, constructed in 1928.
At vPlaza Libertad, is the ILOILO CITY HALL which you can climb up the rooftop via elevator to the 7th floor, a stairs climb to the rooftop where you can view 360degrees Iloilo City, and where you can see the Guimaras island, the beautiful rooftops ok f the old city which makes you feel like you are in Paris France; the Plaza Libertad, and the clean and scenic Iloilo River with the Muelle Loney riverside street and Esplanade 9 which you can walk all the way to the old and new Provincial Capitol. By the way the IloIlo City Government encourages visitors to go up to the rooftop to view the entire city just like what you did. At the Plaza Libertad also is the San Jose Placer Church, very beautiful antique interiors. Here you can find at the right side altar the miraculous two-door image of Nuestra Señora del Santo Rosario which the people carried in procession to pray for help against Dutch pirate Van Noort and to drive him away. He and his men in their ship left, because he and his men saw a woman warning then , "Do not touch my people." That was Our Lady of the Holy Rosary driving them away. Her statue is at the right side Altar. In front is the replica of the Santo Niño de Cebu, a gift from the Agustinian Father's in Cebu. This image is used in the fluvial procession during the annual DINAGYANG FESTIVAL in January.
My favorite La Paz Batchoy is at POPOY'S. The Iloilo La Paz Batchoy was chosen as the 8th best offal soup in the world as per latest news yesterday, Friday, August 22, 2024. Sinigang and Bulalo were #43 and another number , respectively.
