At the end that was one of the most brutally one sided fights against any boss I've ever seen.

the apollo zeus boon can basically melt every boss on its own haha. It also gets triggered by aspect of chiron so its basically always active

I wonder how good storm ring + local climate would be on this aspect. Unlike the apollo cast, storm ring actually does follow you around with local climate. It sounds really strong if it charges glory for every lightning strike

this aspect i feel got the best treatment from the changes by far. i LOVE that the extra damage % is for all omegas, and the special control along with the glory charging makes this one of the most fun and also potential deadly aspects
The aspect definetly helped, right? +30% Omega move damage would have applied to the duo and solar ring to make for that finale...absolutely disgusting.
I think the real selene change is moon beam, the +5 upgrades to path of stars and those upgrades not being intrinsically tied to the keepsake like chaos keepsake (so they last even after you take the keepsake off) do mean that if you have the flexibility to take it zone 2 you're gonna have a good time with most hexes imo
Also kind of a cool thing about persephone, both she and her mother demeter's aspects require you to attack using one thing (casts or attacks) to get an empowered special on your weapon, which is a nice touch
Unless its been patched, chaos boons stay after keepsake use

I never find selene in zone 2, I think it's strictly better to take chaos on the 2nd floor since it lasts less than the 10 chambers, and then path of stars for the fields if anything since you often find 2-3 moons there.
@coachmcguirk6297 I often find selene in shops or chambers idk, in oceanus, and even if you don't the path of stars stay after you take off the keepsake+it's usually easier to control number of encounters in mourning fields I feel

I was running born gain with apollo leg and actually ran out of magic during chronos, I just had so much mana consumption on my attack it was like 60 per omega
The thing which won Eris fight is being impervious and the fact that Glory charges from many effects
7:00 I disagree with you on Selene's changes. The Morph curse now charges so fast you can basically spam it over and over, and spend the entire game killing sheep instead of fighting enemies.
That's just how strong it is now. Might be nerfed in the future.
There's a couple of them that are kinda insane right now, especially if you take her keepsake for a region.
I got lunar ray on a duo farming run, got the tree completely maxed, and ended up with triple beams that apply freeze. It killed cerberus nearly instantly and got me multiple 100 gold (perfect) troves.
It's definitely less degenerate than twilight curse/dark side, but it's nice to see Selene coming into her own a bit.
I can't wait to play it after it gets out of early access!
I did a run of this with Poseidon cast and it went pretty crazy
aspect of persephone + geyser cast = a damn good time. also, the omega special blocks chronos' insta kill attacks :)
Never this early, been very curious to see how this updated aspect works.
a change to born gain that i would like to see is that it primes a percentage of max magic. this would make it feel more important to get a higher rarity.
That solves it being completely absurd but means that once you have to boon the value of additional magick pickups is reduced...which is actually a niche already covered by Zeus' gain. Aaaaand Hera's would inherently be less punishing than Zeus unless the percentage is insane, because Zeus is 70%.
I dunno man, it's not a bad idea, but Hera will always be fundamentally broken because of how magick regen works in this game and there being a fear that starts you with 0 every room.
I kind of hope next run is at some impractically high fear, I am thinking everything except the one that removes boons from pool that one can pick from, reduces healing, causes time limits, or removes arcana.
AAAnd you can get duo of Appolo and Demeter, that buffs Cast

To unlock the fishing pier maybe and to upgrade the fishing rod. Maybe some other minor things too, I also barely remember.
People who complain about having their favorite OP builds patched out should view it from this side: That's just the beauty of early access - at least we got to experience those temporary aspects and builds in addition to what will end up as v1.0. That's so much additional variety, even if a lot of said variety is kinda broken and/or we may be a bit sadge when something gets removed.

How about trying this aspect with the duo between heph and Poseidon? Since Poseidon's omega casts pops straight away I thought it would be better than having to wait for Apollo's.

It looks like you were using special to quickly after your cast so it didn’t charge
Is it just me or did it feel better only having a 3 god cap as opposed to 4 gods now? You don't get enough boons for that 4th god to really make a difference.

Did this with the poseidon cast and it felt nice. The instant cast removed some of the delay in the gameplay loop

I respectfully disagree about Selene's changes being meh. Wolf Howl is broken if you get one boosted path of stars. I had the easiest ever 32 heat surface run with the skulls because I just got -10 mana cost, Impervious on landing and Bunny hopped around Eris with invincibility. It was hilarious!
Dont worry, this thing melts in the underworld too, especially with the hammer that reverses the special wave
How does he have base 70 health without the Titan card on? It feels like I've unlocked almost everything in early access but my base health is still 30 without the Titan card.
Upgraded frog adds 40
Frinos as a familiar gives you more max hp, it's 40 with upgrades via beast morsel

How did mel get bigger and get a deep voice ?
It’s a “boon” you can get from Circe (was that her name) - it increases her damage. There’s also that makes Mel smaller and high pitch, it’s just as hilarious - that one increases your dodge
That’s another way to trivialize Eris

Where did Carybdis (sp) go?
It's a random chance you get Charybdis or the mid shop I think---it's a little weird you either get a very annoying miniboss or a pure positive free chamber. Icarus might also exclusive with those, not sure.

I think Born Gain is "just" the Divine Dash of Hades 2. It's the most powerful single boon in the game, but Athena and Hera are somewhat balanced around it? That is, if you have Athena/Hera and the game just refuses to give you that one best boon, your run is going to feel terrible because the rest of their kit is kinda underwhelming.
Swap Born Gain with any other magick regen boon and tell me Hera isn't the worst god in the game.
Hera is actually really good. She has the highest attack multipliers in the game besides aphro, who requires melee range and hitch is a really good effect. Her cast and duos are kinda mid tho but I often find myself taking her just for the damage multipliers. I think the best nerf to born gain would be to just increase the primed Magick. That way you can still spam out omegas by investing more in max Magick without making the whole Mana system redundant
@@malikhittam1440 My main problem with Hitch is that it doesn't share damage on hits that kill, which puts you in this weird donut hole where fat oneshots (with a big multiplier) end up not sharing damage, only the small hits. If not for Origination (privileged status) Hitch would feel pretty bad. And a lot of the rest of her boons are just disappointing and very tradeoff-y.

@@redvenomweb that cause Hera is meant to be combined with Hestia. You run smoldering ring for burn stacks and then you just press any attack for hitch. it will share all burn stack damage. I actually did a build with axe where i defeated chronos by spamming smolder ring and hitch special attack. Hera cast is good for Axe because 200% duration makes special last longer. Her Bridal glow is really strong as well. you get free 2 free heroic's if you this at the end of the run. Uncommon Engrace is free damage modifer in most cases if you get a lot of hera because of Proper Upbringing boon. I think Hera's biggest pitfall as a god is that her legendary boon is one of worst boons because of how Born gain works. You need pick Born gain or get super lucky with Keen institution and then not pick Born gain to use her legendary. The issue is that Born gain is so good that not picking it is just a dumb move. The Arcana card "Origination" is also good for Hera because it adds 50% damage if two curses are applied. Demeter+Hera or Hera+Hestia are almost implied synergies for her. Aphrodite is also a possible god choice with the duo boon but that is weird combination to take in my opinion.
What happened to Melinoë voice
He took the Circe boon that makes Melinoë bigger, which lowered her voice. I think she sounds like Demeter when she’s big lol

I think Born Gain is never too op, but it seems that way because the other options are underwhelming. Other Gain boons that enable non-stop omega spam are Fluid and Fixed but they have extra steps, while the rest force you to stop spamming to recover, so they don't feel as good. Born Gain is really good that it requires no further investment but also is the only one that can actually make you run out of magic in a long fight (unless you have it at legendary and pom it up quite a bit to reach 0.)
