Hey! I'll be starting at SOAS in September and I'm really excited! However, I've heard some really mixed reviews about SOAS so I just wanted to know what was your experience like? :)
Hi! Thanks for the comment. Of course, I can’t say for anybody else but for me I loved my whole experience that’s the SOAS. I was able to pursue some of my educational goals even at such a short amount of time and I loved the atmosphere where students can really chime in into the class and talk a lot and debate a lot. There were some downfalls to it as well, but I do feel like it got worse because of the situation with Covid. There were also situations where there were a lot of strikes, and there weren’t a lot of classes during I think it was February? that was one thing that I was a little bit disappointed about but other than that I felt very excited to go to class every day and I just had a lot of fun participating in class and doing my assignments! Hopefully you’ll find a lot more exciting elements that I did with the University, and even if you do find some points that you aren’t too happy about I’m sure you’ll make great memories there with friends and with London! Xx
Hey!! So excited to hear that!!! I only spent two terms in SOAS as I was there as a study abroad student. However, I LOVED LOVED the experience! I loved how the professors were so passionate and I could learn so much from the courses I took. If I could I would definitely decide to attend SOAS as my home university :) hope you make lots of memories in SOAS as well!! I’m sure you’ll do great! Congrats on ur new journey xx
Hi! Are you doing the creative arts and cultural industries course at SOAS? If so how is it?! I’m curious to know as I’ve been accepted into the course for sept and I wanted to know how it was for you? Thanks!
Omg yes! I took 3 courses from the that degree and I have to say, that I absolutely LOVED it. I truly did. Professors were extremely kind and I could see that it was the kind of place where if I wanted to learn more, I definitely could. I also loved the courses because students were very active in class, I got to hear a lot of other opinions. I’m probably going to upload like a sit down talking video about all the classes I took at SOAS, maybe that’ll help you! I’m so happy and excited for your time at SOAS! You’ll love it :) congrats :)
Hi! Thanks for the comment. However I wouldn't know how to answer that question since I was only there for two semesters for study abroad. I can say that it was an amazing experience and I LOVED being part of the SOAS community. Hopefully you will be able to make a decision regarding your personal situation but all I can say about that is that I really enjoyed SOAS and it was the right fit for me :D xx
