    Mosestone:
(Apoligies for the camera lense flairing and Gimbo twitching. Something I clearly could not see whilst shooting this Project. I screwed up Major, man she was so pissed with me, and rightly so. (video had to be severley cropped to gain purposefull footage) Reason for pulling the upload in 2020. But the content is too important not to share?) I have learned so much.

Incredible interview with Kevin and Louise, exploring the real life experience of someone suffering and coping with HAEMACHROMATOSIS.
    kevin kane:
    My story
I was diagnosed with Genetic Haemochromatosis in June 2017, after visiting the doctor on and off for a year with a range of seemingly unconnected symptoms, including an inability to exercise without extreme tiredness and joint pain, general malaise, chest and stomach pain, head pain, and a sun tan! After a series of tests I was found to have some inflammation of the liver and ferritin levels close to 1100. The typical range is 20 to 50 nanograms per millilitre in men.
Since then and in order to release the iron from my
body, around a pint of blood has been withdrawn every 10-14 days. I can count myself as one of the lucky ones as my iron levels have dropped significantly and without complications. So, I’m now closing in on what us marvel mutants refer to as “maintenance”, or ferritin readings
between 20 - 50. It doesn’t end there it just means fewer visits to the vampires! The condition remains, however it should very soon be much more manageable.
So, please consider supporting the iron family in any way you can by backing TEAM MARVEL as they take part in The Great Scottish 10k run and in doing so you might just help save a life :-)
If you want to join us on the run - iron brother - iron sister - family or friend - supporter - please get in touch! You are ALL welcome.
