    Great hand. Question about Doug’s commentary: he says that in this final table ‘you should call the bigger stacks lighter’, which I thought means less often, then he says they are more likely to be bluffing. Isn’t that a contradiction? I understood that they have less to lose than you, so the EV of your call is much lower than it would be in a cash game. Is that what Doug means and I was just a bit confused about the way he said it? Or was he saying they bluff more often so you should in fact call more often?

    The problem is that this is not a convincing enough bluff... What hand would Rajkumar be going all in with for value on the river? QQ, JJ or QJ, I believe he would have checked after the flop and/or turn. K10 or 66 I believe he would have bet stronger after the flop? So what is he repping with his all in? I guess it just didn't add up one way or the other. Maybe Raj would have got the fold if he had faked a value bet on the river, betting say 1.2 million??

  • @yourmaninlondoncollecting5749
    @yourmaninlondoncollecting5749 5 років тому +2

    For me,the Key card here is the Q on the turn. Rajkumar bets 800k and its more of a tester bet..than a value Bet.
    And then he goes All In on the River..on a brick 6. It makes no sense.
    It's a "push you of the hand" bet.
    So the call by Chidwick is not too hard to defend or understand. 🙂

      When Rajkumar bets 800K he is testing the water.
      If he was strong..he would bet more,to protect hes hand.
      As he is NOT strong..he cant.
      He is trying to find out where Chidwick is at.
      When Chiwick calls..he know Chidwick DOES have something.
      Then Rajkumar tries to represent..realy Nothing by going All In on the River.
      Why go all in on a Brick card that dont match anything..
      Unless you try to scare the other player of hes hand.....
      Chidwick understands this and Calls.
      The blind level dictates the action really. The more expensive it is..the tighter players in general gets.

    It's obvious, when he did that thing with his eyes blinking, then he exhaled and then inhaled. Total tell.

    Okay I subscribed but if you disappear again for 18 months so will I. I know your posting videos just to fulfill your bet with Papy. Just hope you get your groove back and keep going for it.

    I'll be honest I'm folding that river bet and looking for a better spot for my tournament life. But if you call that turn, you almost have to call that river brick. Also I'm not even in this hand with J5, or I'm most likely check raising the flop to see where I'm at.

    • @Qualia888
      @Qualia888 5 років тому +2

      With the odds you're getting preflop you have to be defending J5dd against a button open. You want to be checkraising the flop with bluffs and strong hands. You don't need want to be raising just to see where you're at and turning a hand with good showdown value into a bluff.
