I only started playing in March 2020 and couldn’t get hold of a go plus anywhere, so ended up with a Gotcha evolve. I love the evolve as it goes on the wrist and, until recently, it worked really well. Downside of it, not waterproof. The watch display disappeared around a year ago but it still works! I have the go plus + as I always wanted an official product. It came out a week later for us so only had it since Friday. I was so glad of UA-camrs showing how to use it as mine didn’t come with any instructions whatsoever! I’d say the main downside of it is the vibration, I’m not so keen on that at all. The evolve you can turn that off at least. I’ll play with the plus + till I finish the tasks then decide from there if I’ll continue on with it. I do like that you can reconnect it on the game screen as well. Thanks for the honest review.
I work at a retail store located inside a mall, and I work right where I can reach 4 pokestops and 1 gym without moving too much. I keep the ++ in my pocket and I get a HUGE supply of pokeballs and berries I love it! I can easily get 400+ items in a day of work! I'm totally loving my ++ Luckily our store plays music so you can't even hear the vibrating. Definitely a worthwhile investment for me :)
Thank you for the comparision. I think the Plus + is great for people who never had an "auto" catcher before, but I have a Ball Plus and am perfectly happy with it. Would be nice to pick up the Plus + someday to get the sleeping Snorlax, then pass it around to others so they can get it to.
I have all three. I didn't use the plus much, but it was useful the few times that I used it. I adore the ball, it was great. The only downside was running out of regular balls. I started using the plus plus and I'm happy that I can finally use great/ultra balls (had to discard them to make space). As expected, I'm sad that I can't do auto catch using those balls.
theres an easy glitch to be able to use ultra and great balls to auto catch. All you do is turnh on autocatch, catch a pokemon, then turn it off and switch to whatever ball u wanna use. sounds easy and works
The Go Plus works great. Does what it is supposed to do 99.9% of the time. I use it while on the go, so I’m fine with it using up regular balls, but honestly it is mostly used to spin the stops in my town. When my phone is out and I’m actively playing, I typically use great balls for the Pokémon that I actually want to catch. I have a small hair tie that is double wrapped to hold the button down and to function as an auto catcher. Easy. The vibration is a little annoying, but it is a good reminder to me that it is still on and functioning. I refuse to purchase a new $60 (including tax) device that will barely perform better than what I currently have.
Just bought this, I can not wait! It's just charging now, I never got the first pokemon go plus when it came out as I didn't see the need but I went for it this time as I can catch even more pokemon and spin even more stops!! Let's go!
I’ve got all 3 official. Band one would be good when walking not in pockets, go plus good when driving (set up before I leave - main catching/spinning) plus plus cause I’m a sucker. Plus plus would be good if it could auto catch like others. I have a cable tie on mine. Good video bt.
I accidently jumped into a lake with the new Go Plus Plus in my pocket. I quickly got back out and shortly after that went home, opend up the go plus plus and let it dry. It lost all its energy but after charging up it works without a flaw.
I’ve got them all, but was using a gotcha evolve everyday. But with the plus+ I decided to give it a shot. It’s working well and can fit in my pocket. So, I’ll keep using it unless I can’t put it in a pocket. Then it’s back to the gotcha. Can’t use the ball. It’s too big and bulky to go in a pocket or carry around at work. 😂
I’ve found with the Go Plus + that if you want it to spin stops only it’ll get stuck wanting to throw better poke balls so it won’t spin stops until you throw a better ball I’ve also noticed that if there are too many options/ if I’m also playing while the Go Plus + is active it just stops working
@@PokemonGoTrainerUK this is exactly what i experienced too. The first one is very easy to reproduce. Spin gyms in the area by hand. throw away the pokeballs and have it on autocatch. It will select a pokemon to catch manually and as long as that pokemon is there it won't spin the gyms as it is locked to that pokemon. Second problem i have not found a way to reliably reproduce, but i think it has something to do with manually catching a pokemon while the autocatcher does it.
i am hopping on some updates in the future for the device. if i have it on auto catch and i run out of normal balls than even when i press the button for a great ball it does not throw it unless i turn auto catch off. and i think it could be sped up a bit to. and please when i turn auto pokestop spin off, make it so that it stops selecting pokestops and just focus on catching
Go plus + you can solder a wire from the lead on the board to the vibration motor to the button. Everytime a signal to vibration motor is sent it clicks the button for you. Aka auto throw great and ultra balls. Lots of guides out there. Clever community 😊 Easy to reverse, works even if you've removed the vibration motor.
the one thing that would make the plus plus 10x better is to allow us to turn off the vibration. than I would use it even more. i can't use the plus plus at work cause the vibration is just too "loud"
Yes, you’re very right but vibration is way too loud. I wish you could turn it off, but I was using it most of yesterday and it worked very well. If you want to get a decent amount of Stardust it’s a good way to do it because it will catch a lot of Pokémon for you While you’re walking

I can access 3 Pokestop and 1 gym from my living room, after completig the special research task, I will probably enable auto spin stops and Auto throw,whole night so it can catch continoiusly while I am asleep...Mine is on the way and arrive by tommorow morning...💙❤💛
i bought mine, but i wished i had both the pokemon go plus + and pokeball plus... It helped me alert me that I incensed a galarian moltres (which i didnt have), and even tho it didn't track my sleep well, i love it! I live in an area where there is not a high density of pokestops or pokemon really anywhere in a 10 mile radius, and I like to run, so the Plus+ works great for me. It's fast enough to catch most things when I'm running, biking, or driving a car. When I'm playing myself, I use my Great and Ultra balls, when I'm out running or in the car, I let it catch for me and use my red balls. The third party auto-catchers are probably better, but if they find a way to detect them, I really don't want to get my account banned. So, it's not super expensive and it works well for my use-case.
Consider that the plus plus has been out for a few days only while the others been out for years. There's alot of room for updates and improvements for the plus plus. The plus plus is already my favorite device so far.
How are you going to play gofest with the constant vibration draining the battery life out of the go plus plus? Also it doesn't work when u only want to spin stops and or catch pokemon. My watchic plus is far better. We shall see what niantic does in the future.
@@AcidWaves80the vibrations drains so much battery. During events where the device is constantly vibrating, the battery only last 6 hrs. Not being able to auto throw great and ultra balls is super dumb. There’s no option to switch to other Pokémon or something like that so the fact that you need to click the button just makes that feature pointless. I’m still considering returning my go plus plus and just buying a gotcha or something
@@alphaeverwing1118 i have a Gotcha, it works sporadically. I just pulled it out of a drawer after a few weeks and see it is still charged up. I think it needs a really good connection and my “recliner connection” may be too weak. Will try it again as I’m working on the “catch 5,000 pokemon challenge.

Honestly i love my go ++ had it 3 days caught 5 shiny,1 hundo,1 nundo and has been perfect for speed for catching and spinning and for it being almost half the price of gotcha/other brands (canadian dollar cuz shipping from usa) and the pokeball plus which is super inflated cuz not manufactured

From testing, my gotcha does a better job at scanning pokestops than the plus plus does, when driving. Driving the same route testing both devices, the gotcha got 72 stops, where as the plus plus only got 48. I even drove a little slower for the plus plus. Rather disappointed with that
I like my Pokeball Plus better than the Go Plus + which I have no interest in buying as Pokemon Sleep isn't as fun as Pokemon Go. I bought my Pokeball Plus at Target on clearance a few years ago for $25. I haven't used it in Pokemon Go yet but I'm going to try it today with my event Victini from Pokemon Sword for extra luck. I mainly just used it for Lets Go Pikachu up until now.
No gasket. Disabling the vibrationmotor and dimming the LED's with a black pen, definitely improves usability. Out of the box, it's very noisy and flashing.
Does anyone know if the device moves on to the next ball once you’re on lets say Ultra ball if you run out does it auto go to great/regular balls or does it wait for you to re collect Ultra balls? 👀
I don't fancy spending £50-60 for a night cap Snorlax. If they made the ++ more efficient and also allowed auto catching with 'selected' ball in the menu, it would be a fantastic product apart from the potential durability. I still have my Go Plus from 2017/18 and it works fine. I also bought a Trainer Club Gotcha but the battery didn't last more than 8 months and it doesn't work anymore. Sadge.
Yeah honestly the snorlax was disappointing after hearing the previous one gave a mew :C Wish it gave a chance for a caught pokemon to have the sleeping hat even if made rarer than a shiny 100%IV.
I had mine up until yesterday when my wife put it through the washer. You’re 100% right it died immediately. Been sitting in rice for 2 days and still not working.
I can confirm the 4 hour 0 minutes if used on a flat service (outside my bedroom on my desk). When used next to my pillow on my matras it clocks close to real sleep time.
Unless you're turning on and off at the exact time you sleep it's never going to be accurate and you don't actually need to be asleep you can be working and just keep it somewhere and it'll count as long as it doesn't move
I constantly have to reset and repair my plus+ so not super thrilled with that aspect since repairing wipes your sleep data and I have no other option, but when it is working the auto catch and spin is great
This is his opinion, it's not fact. The overall amount of functions make this product superior to the Gotcha imo. It does everything the Gotcha does but more functions.
@kidbu916 It has the potential to be better, but having to manually press every time for great and ultras sucks and was misleading in the advertising. It also takes way longer to catch a single mon. Also, there's no way to turn the ANNOYING AS HELL vibration off, so it's just not fun to use imo
Does anyone else have to press the reset button quite often on the Pokemon Go Plus +? Mine often soft locks and doesn't light up at all when I press the main button, and I have to press reset button to get it working properly again.
As I was watching this video I decided to buy the pokeball, I think it looks the nicest. I ended up buying the let’s go Eevee brand new with the pokeball included. The pokeball just buy itself was actually more expensive 😅 unreal lol

Pokémon go plus+ is great for runners, I’ll take mine for a 5 mile run just clicking the button randomly, I’ll come home with like 200-300 Pokémon in 40-50 mins
According to the user manual, it say 4.5hrs. I can't guarantee on this yet because I've only done 1 full charge so far and I did not take note of the time😅
Used mine for the squirtle comm day today, was really disappointed. It felt way too slow, I didn’t catch anywhere near as many Pokémon as expected. It disconnected a fair bit too. Not impressed so far.
The 4 hour thing is weird. I feel like it's normal to leave it on a bedside table or something while you sleep rather than physically in bed with you. That is very random. Thanks for the great video.
It’s not weird at all, I’m surprised it’s as high as 4hrs, if you’re not moving, you’re not sleeping, devs are not stupid. It’s built in to stop people trying to game the system.
Even in the UK - I lost my Gotcha, then I was struggling to justify paying £50 on a new one 😢. I am originally from Brazil, so I know that value for money is tough as I reckon we might have similar access to such niche devices. But if anything, having an auto-catches takes away the excitement of the game to a certain extent.
@1:25 Well, it depends on what you consider as cheating? One could argue that modifying the Ball Plus so that it could automatically catch/spin is in fact cheating. As its not intended to be used as such. Ultimately, its all about levels, As long as Niantic (OWNER of the game) did not do anything to stop people from doing all this cheating. why do the other players (NOT Owner of the game) feel entitled to judge what other people are doing?
I love my pokeball + turned auto....I will use it until it stops working. Then I may consider Plus +. Don't care about snorlax, don't want to track my sleep and I don't want to press it 😅.
Dude I'm so tired of this misinformation about the Pokeball Plus needing to be "held down." Let me stress, IF YOU HAVE A POKEMON INSIDE THE BALL, IT AUTO-CATCHES!!!! For those who, for some reason, don't have a pokemon inside the ball, then yes, you need to hold it down. But either it comes with a Mew already inside, or if you don't own Let's Go OR Sword/Shield, you can ask a friend who does to let you carry a pokemon with you. That's so much less trouble than going out of your way to print out a literal device just to hold a button down.
I’ve used them all my favorite for multi acct users is the dual catchamon easy! But for solo players the plus + is better in my opinion pushing a button to use greats and ultra balls isn’t a deal breaker! The fact I get to use them with my phone put away is a blessing in my eyes. The go plus is great but technology advances fast and it’s left in the past. The pokeball plus is great too but if you don’t have a switch then you don’t have the auto spin feature and if people are crying about pushing a button to throw great/ultra balls then just get more tissues. The gotcha is good too but the battery dies too fast. Not the rechargeable death either I mean just dies for good and that’s super hard to replace. I’ve gone through 4 in my pogo life. I still ride around with my pokeball plus now just in case I run into a rare issue with my plus+ which I haven’t had any issues since the last update. Regardless just go out there and catch ‘em all

Ive opened mine and just took the weight off. Stopped the vibration completely.

You can open the casing and disconnect the wire to the rattle motor. It won’t vibrate after that.

When I opened the original Plus I saw a water seal gasket but I can’t say for certain about the Ball & Plus+

Does anyone know if the device moves on to the next ball once you’re on lets say Ultra ball if you run out does it auto go to great/regular balls or does it wait for you to re collect Ultra balls? 👀
I don't fancy spending £50-60 for a night cap Snorlax. If they made the ++ more efficient and also allowed auto catching with 'selected' ball in the menu, it would be a fantastic product apart from the potential durability. I still have my Go Plus from 2017/18 and it works fine. I also bought a Trainer Club Gotcha but the battery didn't last more than 8 months and it doesn't work anymore. Sadge.

I can confirm the 4 hour 0 minutes if used on a flat service (outside my bedroom on my desk). When used next to my pillow on my matras it clocks close to real sleep time.

Unless you're turning on and off at the exact time you sleep it's never going to be accurate and you don't actually need to be asleep you can be working and just keep it somewhere and it'll count as long as it doesn't move

I constantly have to reset and repair my plus+ so not super thrilled with that aspect since repairing wipes your sleep data and I have no other option, but when it is working the auto catch and spin is great

This is his opinion, it's not fact. The overall amount of functions make this product superior to the Gotcha imo. It does everything the Gotcha does but more functions.
@kidbu916 It has the potential to be better, but having to manually press every time for great and ultras sucks and was misleading in the advertising. It also takes way longer to catch a single mon. Also, there's no way to turn the ANNOYING AS HELL vibration off, so it's just not fun to use imo

I modded my go+ plus to auto throw great and ultra poke balls. It makes the greatest difference compared to having to constantly pressing the button

According to the user manual, it say 4.5hrs. I can't guarantee on this yet because I've only done 1 full charge so far and I did not take note of the time😅

Used mine for the squirtle comm day today, was really disappointed. It felt way too slow, I didn’t catch anywhere near as many Pokémon as expected. It disconnected a fair bit too. Not impressed so far.

There are no Gotcha's or autocatcher's available in India. Even if they are available, they are too expensive.
Even in the UK - I lost my Gotcha, then I was struggling to justify paying £50 on a new one 😢. I am originally from Brazil, so I know that value for money is tough as I reckon we might have similar access to such niche devices. But if anything, having an auto-catches takes away the excitement of the game to a certain extent.

@1:25 Well, it depends on what you consider as cheating? One could argue that modifying the Ball Plus so that it could automatically catch/spin is in fact cheating. As its not intended to be used as such. Ultimately, its all about levels, As long as Niantic (OWNER of the game) did not do anything to stop people from doing all this cheating. why do the other players (NOT Owner of the game) feel entitled to judge what other people are doing?
I love my pokeball + turned auto....I will use it until it stops working. Then I may consider Plus +.

Dude I'm so tired of this misinformation about the Pokeball Plus needing to be "held down." Let me stress, IF YOU HAVE A POKEMON INSIDE THE BALL, IT AUTO-CATCHES!!!! For those who, for some reason, don't have a pokemon inside the ball, then yes, you need to hold it down.
But either it comes with a Mew already inside, or if you don't own Let's Go OR Sword/Shield, you can ask a friend who does to let you carry a pokemon with you.
That's so much less trouble than going out of your way to print out a literal device just to hold a button down.

I’ve used them all my favorite for multi acct users is the dual catchamon easy! But for solo players the plus + is better in my opinion pushing a button to use greats and ultra balls isn’t a deal breaker! The fact I get to use them with my phone put away is a blessing in my eyes. The go plus is great but technology advances fast and it’s left in the past. The pokeball plus is great too but if you don’t have a switch then you don’t have the auto spin feature and if people are crying about pushing a button to throw great/ultra balls then just get more tissues. The gotcha is good too but the battery dies too fast. Not the rechargeable death either I mean just dies for good and that’s super hard to replace. I’ve gone through 4 in my pogo life. I still ride around with my pokeball plus now just in case I run into a rare issue with my plus+ which I haven’t had any issues since the last update. Regardless just go out there and catch ‘em all
