Dear, in this video, you said the main header pressure (static pressure )is 10bar, so why did you use lockshield valve? As per NFPA 14, PRV is required if static pressure exceeds 12.1bars use prv to reduce static and residual pressure to 6.9bar(11/2") and 12.1bar in others.Please reply. Is it only because hose reel is under rated or NFPA requirement.
Actually he mistakenly saying PRV as lock shield valve, the lock shield valve is the one with the key which is used to prevent unauthorized open/closing of pipe line. next to the lock shield valve you can see the PRV.
We have problem in are firehose reel. When we open the valve the water not come out in the 5 meter hose. But if we remove the short hose from the 5 meter hose there's a water coming out to the short hose.
I could not understand your question very well but whatever I understood I will let you know about it If it is automatic fire hose reel drum there is a specific length of pipe which you need to Unreal then only the line will get charged otherwise line will not get charged If you already open the length let's suppose 5 metre required to charged the line and so you have already open 5 metre hose length still not getting charged that means there is a something wrong with hose reel drum mechanism which required repairing Second you need to check lock sheild valve is fully open otherwise it will not give enough pressure to drum to to charge the line.
