  • Hey Everyone! Todays client is ready to take the plunge from bleach roots to foils. so this is a new method i tried as an "inbetween" appointment to transition the harsh line from a bleach root to a soft diffused shadow that works best with foils!

      Is that wild! I think I’ll use this in the future for SURE! But definitely do a root tap/shadow next time! I don’t like seeing lines and I know that would help blend it even more

    It looks fabulous. Great work and it's why we pay you guys the big bucks.❤
    I have dark blonde hair, and I did go from a full head all over blonde, which was almost pure white, which made my dark blonde regrowth roots look black, to a more manageable blonde, by that I mean I only needed highlights every 6 months or so.
    I didn't have as much regrowth as your client, it was just coming past my eyebrows and my stylist did what you did at first, with the root smudge.
    Over the course of a year or so, I went to a slightly darker shade of blonde (not mega light) and finally reached a sun-kissed blonde, that works with my grey at the front of my hair. xx

    New to being blonde and I am thankful for your video! My first foiling after full bleach out looks a bit rough, but not terrible. It's hard when bc I'm unsure what type of blonde I wanted to be & didn't realize how fast my hair grew out. 36 foils and 2 stylist helping. Honestly, I probably could have used twice as much.

      @Bobby Hair Studio Agree 💯 with you! Because this is how i color my hair due to some resistant grays just around my face! I had to go light bonde level 10

    Yes. She needed the root smudge, just to give it that little bit of extra dimension. I notice that shadow roots make hair look thicker and gives the illusion of more body because of the “shadow”. The way you did her hair it almost looks like a wig because of the excellent volume. The shadow would have broken that up. You did a phenomenal job. Also the fact that you did her hair in only 4.5 hours is amazing.

    • @lindanizamoff7981
      @lindanizamoff7981 Рік тому +1

      If she comes back for a smudge I would charge her, It's a service and why do women always feel bad and work for free. She chose not to have it done if she comes back, it's a service and you time is worth money. She waited so long to have her hair done she should pay whatever you charge, and you should not feel bad, she's a hairdresser and knows not to wait so long.If you brought your car to a mechanic, they would charge you and if you needed more work for the same area because you didn't let them complete their work, they would charge labor at least.

    • @kyzzlee
      @kyzzlee Рік тому

      I'm wondering the same thing. Hairdressers seem reluctant to do a scalp bleach but from what i can see their applying the bleach to the same area during foils anyway

    • @lils1988
      @lils1988 Рік тому +1

      @@kyzzlee Nobody answered so I just tried both😀 And my thoughts on it are: The foils are more dimensional probably because it's not bleached the exact same time. Depending on the color it could look really natural. The bleach out on the other hand is more even and really beautiful but far from natural.
      If it's only the roots only bleach is easier and faster. If it's longer regrowth I prefer foils - they make the temperature between roots and mids more even and the result as well.
      Foils are more clean and tidy but they took time so you need to work fast. If you make a mistake just put more.
      Bleach out is more fast and looks too easy which can slip you into mistakes. If you miss a black spot it's not so easy anymore( as seen in a lot of youtube videos) 😀
      That is my opinion and experience everyone is free to share theirs.

    • @kyzzlee
      @kyzzlee Рік тому

      @@lils1988 Thank you! I usually get a scalp bleach but i took a break for 5 months and had about 2 inches of regrowth and my hairdresser refused to do a scalp bleach and made me get a half head of foils. She said that i would get orange banding with a scalp bleach but when i was watching her apply the bleach in foils it looked like the same application anyway! My hair looks okay but i much prefer the really bright white that i get with a scalp bleach. Now i’m probably gonna have to get a few rounds of foils to get rid of all the regrowth which is going to be very time consuming and expensive haha

    • @lils1988
      @lils1988 Рік тому +1

      @@kyzzlee I personally think you made the right decision. 5 months is a lot of time. Someone may think " If there is orange band just bleach that again and you are good in just two appointments"But that's exactly how they say in that video the hair grows differently, more time - bigger difference. And a lot of breakage. I hope you get your platinum hair as soon as possible.
