So, the 8 socket Pittsburgh tool is called a “dog bone” tool, obviously because of the shape. I grabbed 2 of each last week, they were on clearance. I keep an SAE and a metric in my truck and the other 2 I keep in my toolbox at home. I thought they were the coolest things! I researched them, it’s actually an old design. Companies have been making this style of tool for decades. I had never seen them before but I feel like it could be a useful tool. Good pick up.

I have some dog bone wrenches that date to at least the 1950s.

We used to get the Craftsman dog bone for lube techs. It fit almost every drain plug and it was harder to lose than a normal wrench

The dog bone wrench in metric is very useful for doing oil changes. I have watched videos where lub techs were using channel-loc pliers or 2 foot long wrenches to tighten drain plugs. Now I know how I have had damage in the past from oil change shops .

Onthe 8in 1 wrench I used to use a simular wrench on my bicycles. Itwas smaller than that one and didn't have The spinny heads. The tool I used fit most nuts on bicycles, like axles, brakes adjusters and such. Maderoadside repairseasy.

Cool. Buy another double flex ratchet, take it apart and add another flex joint to the double make a triple (makes it more useful). Use the left over one as a stubby flex head.

@@jimprice8557 in a C-shape it is very fast to loosen/tighten and then straighten it out to break free/snug up a bolt. You can snake it into some spaces a regular 3/8 ratchet doesn’t fit.
