John wick 2 pencil kill
The church right
Jet Li vs. Jet Li in The One.
Do a list of iconic/groundbreaking movie (also a separate tv) scenes/sequences and their most famous and/or obvious copycats.
The bank heist in Heat
Kingsman's church scene was one of the most epic and well choreographed fight scenes with the most fitting guitar solo in the background
Yare yare, your everywhere bruh🤣🤣
Should be higher
You must have never seen ong back 2.
So true. Such a great scene! They set the bar with this
Not quite as epic as the fight with Whiskey in the second movie
The rescue of Morpheus in the Matrix is the best action sequence I've ever seen. From the moment Neo and Trinity enter the building until the helicopter crash at the end, it is just amazing.
Definitely deserves, this is when we all knew the One really arrived
Mission Impossible Fallout's bathroom fight scene was impressive too and could've been an honorable mention. Seeing Henry Cavill flex alongside Tom Cruise facing a martial artist and criminal John Lark was a sight to behold.
"I know Kung-Fu"
"Show me"
This was one of my favourites from the Matrix
Re: Matrix - My rewatched scene was the lobby shoot out, from the soundtrack to the choreography, just awesome.
One of my favs too
I totally thought the lobby shoot out was going to be in the top 5, but I also get why 'bullet time' was picked instead.
The fight with agent Smith in part2 also epic
Totally left that off my list that scene is better than all I mentioned. That said also Blade #1 Temple and Club scene is on the list. And how can you have an Action list without John Woo?
Just that the lobby scene is not on this list is annoying
I can't believe Heat's shootout scene wasn't on here! Highly regarded as the greatest shootout scene ever in movies.
I Agree, Tim!!
I came here to say this!
I was just about to say the very same thing. Seriously - Heat's not even mentioned??!? You really need to wonder about what "criteria" (if any) is used in researching and making a list, especially when they so completely miss one of the most epic action sequences ever put on film. Their "researchers" must all be college film majors who are consistently receiving marginal or outright failing grades.
These lists are for fun, not to be taken seriously.
@@mantisdamospena too late! This is now a serious topic of conversation. In fact I'm considering pressing charges for omitting Heat from this list!!!
The fight between the killer rabbit and King Authur and his men in, "Holy Grail".
Yesssss!!!
Go and change your armour.
And the Black Knight
BRING FORTH THE HOLY HAND GRENADE
I was completely blown away by and and all of the action scenes in both Kingsman movies, but yes, the church scene is particularly epic. The choice of using the long solo section of Free Bird in the background was beyond brilliant.
I love to rewatch the church scene from Kingsman the Secret Service
So good!
Yah I know right
I am a huge fan of your channel
This list is incomplete without any Jacky Chan movie scene.
Another fun fact about Terminator: Robert Patrick did sprint training and in the scene immediately before during shoots he actually *caught up to Edward Furlong on the bike and tapped him on the shoulder. That's* how much of a beast he is.
He also trained himself to not blink or flinch when shooting.
That's crazy
Bro WHAAAAAAAT?
I thought it was a myth
That's fucking amazing.
Very pleased to see The Raid 2 and Ip Man make the list. Although, I believe that Rama and his brother vs Mad Dog from The Raid: Redemption should have made it too. Additionally, one of several Tony Jaa scenes could have made it too. The spiral staircase from The Protector, the bone breaking scene at the end of the movie, or the warehouse scene. Ong Bak has several as well.
I was waiting for Tony Jaa to make the list
almost every asian action movie has amazing action but I was surprised they didn't included jackie chan
So glad you began with Bruce Lee!
This scene in Casino Royale was an eye-opener... for maybe the first time I saw a Bond doing what I always felt Bond should have been doing. Definitely surpassed the ones before!
I watched The Matrix trilogy when it first came out and my mind was certainly blow. I had to watch 'The Matrix' twice to understand just what the hell I'd actually watched.
The kitchen fight In The raid 2 is hands down my favorite fight scene of all times
Yes, the choreograph is outstanding and the film uses less cut in the action scenes
The hallway fight from the first movie is also epic
The fight with his brother against Animal in the first one is my all time favorite
The karambit scene? That was one of the best scene in history of cinema
No fight scene watched more times than Jackie Chan's drunken master fight scenes😍😍🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Truth!
This hates most movies before 2000, granted there is a few but if its not 2000 or after they ignored it.
Abrah ka dabra mahashaya

@@mohammedfaizan6133 🙏 I am from chitradurga
I approve, I can't remember how many times I watch that fight. My favorite Jackie fight ever. Really a masterpiece of a scene.
I love the transporter scene when he goes back to the house and kicks the door down. Also when he fights in the oil wearing bike clips.
The Matrix Reloaded highway chase is the greatest action scene of all time. The action is breakneck, the shots are beautiful, and the music is perfect. I truly believe I will never have an experience like watching that scene in theaters for as long as I live.
John wick Franchise: My time has come!
This list is incomplete without any Jacky Chan movie scene.
Everything Jacky Chan ever did....
I agree but it's not best action scenes it's just most watched. Plebs will never know the one true god.
Amen!
Chan Jackie should go straight to hell and stay there for eternity
yeah jacky chan in drunken master end fight is better then most on this list
The end fight scene in the 1st Kickass movie featuring Hitgirl, I don't even bother to watch the whole movie anymore, that kid is just awesome.
The shooting from Heat is an absolute must
The Bourne identity deserves an honorable mention
Especially The fight scene in boure ultimatum. What an intense fight.
@@DuniaPersilatanTerengganu Bourne fights are the best for intensity.
oh yeah that fight scene from bourne Identity, man it was so cool
Matrix and Couching Tiger, you picked the wrong scenes. Crouching Tiger, at least you mentioned it, the duel between Jen and Yu is just hands down the best action sequence in the film. The tree top dance is amazing, but the duel is simply better. The Matrix, come on, the lobby shootout. It has to be the lobby shootout; yeah that bullet time scene is great, but it's the lobby shootout that gets watched again and again.
Yeah. But what did you expect from Watchmojo? A good ranking? Nope
The lobby shootout; 100%.
I
Though the movie wasn't nearly as good as the first, my most watched matrix fight seen was the alley fight between Neo and the Smiths in reloaded.
I 100% agree and I was thinking the same thing as I was watching this
The opening scene from "Saving Private Ryan". The D-Day landing on Omaha Beach. Jaw dropping.
Is saving private Ryan action packed?
@@steffenwennerstrand8969 Yes!
@@Buskieboy what other movies should I include in my action collection? :)
@@Buskieboy how many action scenes in saving private Ryan are there
That John Wick nightclub shootout is one of my favorite movie scenes.
The Bride vs Elle fight scene Kill Bill Vol 2 deserves a spot on this list.
crazy 88 fight is better
Never seen it even once
Nah, although kill bill is my favorite movie the crazy 88 fight was better
Would have been better than the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon scene. That's just stupid. But I suppose one scene from a movie is enough.
Crazy 88's. Also, love the Lucy Lui intro in slow mo with her crew. Truly Badass
Keanu Reeves just casually on here 3 times. Legend
🐐 WatchMojo list. Speed, Matrix, Baby Driver, Kingsman and Inception are all in my top 10 favorite movies ever. So many other classics too like T2, Mission Impossible, Casino Royale, Mad Max and Die Hard. Although the Church fight scene should be number 1🥴
I love all of these. One that I've rewatched repeatedly is the final fight scene from Korean film The Man from Nowhere. It is stunning. Highly recommend!
The Matrix was a GENIUS film. I was 12 years old and wicked into Sci-Fi when this movie came out. I think it's timeless...
When thor enters wakanda..I rewatched that scene like hundred times
Thunderd times
I got goosebumps reading this.
You guys are so screwed now!
That was probably one of the best "that moment" within the MCU ("that moment" being that one moment within the movie that just takes the cake). Though it wouldn't have been allowed on this list since they said no superhero movies, that would (or is) be another list.
It's not an action scene. It's a moment. And it sucks.
The boxing match fight scene from Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey J) was pretty awesome and very much rewatchable. It was a short scene, but it was quite exhilarating.
Atomic Blond (Charlize Theron) Stairwell fight is a must have on this list.. If you haven't seen it.. it's done all in one take with no camera breaks. Absolutely astonishing.
The Princess Bride fencing scene between Westley and Inigo
Fuck yes
Hardcore Henry on the highway. When he threw the grenade in that van. Love that scene
That Old Boy scene is pure gold. It's so emotionally charged and such a triumphant moment for that character who's mostly been beaten down at the point.
1) Jet Li's fight in Hero.. 2) Last Samurai -ninja ambush or fight in city. 3) The Patriot - tomahawk skills. 4) Apocalypto amazon chase.
One of my favorite re-watched action scenes is Atomic Blonde scene where she is trying to get "Spyglass" across the East German border in to West Berlin!!!But still;great choices!!!
I was specting the Gun kata scene on Equilibrium but this are awesome too!
I feel like that movie is seriously underrated.
Yyeeppp me too
I was just about to type that, one of the best movie boss fights ever.
i think matrix copied the fighting style & mood of Equilibrium
@@cheenochin1097 Matrix was first, but for me Gun Kata over Matrix bullet time any day.
The dark knight ending, the dark knight rises ending, Van Damme dance in Kickboxer, Inception ending, the good the bad and the ugly final shootout, Pulp fiction dance scene, Goodfellas Joe Pesci scene...there’s so many.
2 of my honorable mentions. The stairwell shootout with Bucky Barnes in Civil war is the best fight scene in all of the MCU. He takes on the cops, Captain America, and on the roof, Black Panther. Non stop action at its best. Next is the chase scene in Us Marshals where Wesley Snipes escapes Tommy Lee Jones, by swinging onto a moving Subway car. Most impressive.
#3 They learned at least one lesson: DO NOT PISS OFF KEANU REEVES!
Or Liam Neeson
Hit Girl taking out Frank’s crew at the end of Kick-Ass
that or the scene where she is trying to rescue her dad.
They excluded superhero movies.
I don’t consider those characters “super”. No more than Wick anyway.
Definitely up there
Mother russia vs cops in kick-ass 2 was good too, but i do think technically kick-ass falls in the super hero genre.
I would have added Jackie Chan's final scene in Drunken Master, and also the Multiple Smiths fight in The Matrix Reloaded. I'm not sure which I would have replaced, though, since those 20 are still good choices. (I would have also placed The Raid 2 much further up in the list.)
Hey guys , love your channel and videos !!! I would recommend almost all the movies of Scott Adkins and Tony Ja, i have re-watched their fight scenes soooo many times !!!
Terminator 2: judgement day's final fight Is my fav
The chase scene between Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in Point Break , and the last twenty minutes of Commando are amazing.
The shoot up of the factory in Wanted - yes, I know it is a child of the Matrix, but I still love to watch it over again. James McAvoy nails it! And all the other scenes you mentioned I agree with - ALL!
Bullitt (1968): car chase.
Classic
There was no doubt a scene from The Matrix was going to Top this list off, but I thought it was going to be the Lobby shootout or the Subway showdown.
I was 100% sure the lobby shootout was going to be #1. I would have bet money on it. I couldn't believe they actually picked this scene...it's not nearly as rewatchable.
And I thought it would me a metro fight 😁
Or the freeway scene in Matrix 2
@@heritagepark7408 that is the best car chase scene ive ever seen.
@@SnareSpectre Bullet time is the most groundbreaking, but I fully agree that the Lobby was the most rewatchable. Hell, I've probably watched Trinity's opening 360 pan kick fight more than Bullet Time.
The rooftop fight scene from Jackie Chan’s Who Am I? should be here.
Oh that's a good one man
I would argue that the lobby shootout from the Matrix was even better than the "bullet time" entry, and blew my mind when i saw that movie the first time. Also:
- The chariot race from Ben Hur
- The car chase from Ronin
- Club shoot out from Collateral
- Car chase from Bourne Supremacy in Moscow
- The running scene from 1917 (although maybe that goes in another category of war movies)
But all in all, excellent choices!
Great choices. I absolutely love your green eyes! Beautiful! Enchanting! Mesmerizing! Wow!
I think Duel of the Fates from Episode 1 deserves to be on this list. It really set the tone for every lightsaber battle that's happened since, has a badass song for the background, and showcases a cast that put in serious training for it.
And if not that, then Anakin and Obi-Wan's fight, which took weeks of training, happened in real time without camera tricks, and I believe set the record for longest sword fight in cinema history.
Just a couple that come in mind outside of comic book movies:
Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade - The tank scene
Star Wars: Phantom Menace/Revenge of the Sith - Obi-wan and Qui-gon Jinn vs. Darth Maul/Obi-wan vs. Anakin
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Forest Uruk Hai Battle
Alita: Battle Angel - Motorball
John Wick - In the Club
Kingsman: Secret Service - The Church
Mad Max: Fury Road - Chase with the Bikers
Matrix - I Know Kung Fu/Subway Fight
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - Maelstorm
Predator - Dutch vs. Predator
Snowpiercer - They've Got No Bullets!
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines - Car Chase
The Last Samurai - Final Battle
The Raid 2 - Kitchen Fight
Upgrade - Permission Granted
Wind River - Shootout
I watch the movie "Heat" for the shootout scene.
Ahh... Where is Hit Girl in Kick Ass??? That penthouse scene was another epic one!
Yep, yep, yep.....forgot about that one.
"Its called adrenaline bitch"
@@jeremiahjoseremollo6111 i think he means the first one
John Wick reloading in mid shoot out is cinematic gold.
Come on guyzzzzz
Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise bathroom fight scene
How can you even forget about that iconic scene
That biceps reload. 😳😳
Its a great fight scene
But iconic.....
Nah
Yes!
Even all the scenes from Kingsman 2, especially the last diner fight scene are amazing!
For a car chase, I love Mad Max: Fury Road but F & Furious? Nah, I'll take The French Connection, To Live and Die in L.A. or Ronin.
You guys missed Heat bank robbery scene, the sound was just amazing.
Correct, it's the gold standard of action/shootout scenes
My fave to re-watch is the scene from The Karate Kid when he finds out from Miyagi why sensei has been putting him through all the seemingly meaningless tasks.
The Dauntless dive bomber scenes from Midway (2019) should've been here. The intensity of the dive, the sound, the flak, the altitude count before the bomb release, seeing the Japanese carrier getting closer and closer from a 90° dive... I never get tired of watching those scenes!
In WAY OF THE DRAGON Bruce Lee fighting his way through the dungeons, his hands and feet at lightning speed and wielding various tools as well. Amazing, no CGI, and the most fitting music score. The soundtrack and the fighting style are iconic now. The scene is just unrivaled from a cinematographic standpoint.
I enjoyed the bathroom fight in mission impossible fallout with tom cruise and henry cavil.
You should have added the club scene from the movie Collateral with Tom Cruise, if you havent seen that movie you gotta watch it.
Or the bank heist scene from HEAT
A Michael Mann fan, the ambush in Last of the Mohicans is good too.
Some of my favorites are the dojo fight, roof top fight and factory fight in the movie Chocolate with Jeeja Yanin and the elephant bone fight in The Protector with Tony Jaa. Of course, basically all of Tony Jaa, JeeJa Yanin and Donnie Yen’s (my favorite martial artist) movies have extremely re-watchable fights. I can’t forget Jackie Chan in Drunken Master either! Ugh, too many amazing martial arts movies to decide from! Lol and I can’t even begin to count how many times I rewind their fight scenes while watching one of those movies lol. I’m a martial artist myself so I always get super hyped up watching their movies. Besides martial arts movies, I think The Equalizer scene where Denzel takes down the Russian mob guys and basically all of John Wicks fight scenes are the best. Of course, this list is also very accurate in my opinion! Great choices! 👍🏼
The shootout at the end of the Wild Bunch is a scene I never tire of. The shootout in Heat is another classic. Both should have been on the list.
Yep... especially The Wild Bunch
I rewatch the fight between Uma Thurman and Darryl Hannah in Kill Bill vol 2
Incredibles 2 Elastigirl VS Screenslaver Scene. It got me hyped out even it's only an animation!
It's also a superhero movie. ;)
The train scene from MI is pretty nice, in most part thanks to the wonderful music score behind that gives the thrill and the tension. The ticking theme and then... red light, green light! Nicely executed IMHO.
These were all great. One of my favorites to watch again and again is the jail breakout scene with Hobbs and Shaw in the Fate of the Furious.
The last 20 minutes shoot out scene in Equilibrium.
I was going to mention this, but my comment had to deal with The Matrix. How does no one seem to know about this masterpiece?
Yeah that's defo a movie well worth to watch
Wanted - James McAvoy gunfight at the factory...epic.
it was fabulous.
The alley fight scene from John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China had a grocery list of who's who in the martial arts world in the 1980's. Cameos included Jim Lau, Jeff Imada, Al Leong, Gerald Okamura to name just a few. The movie even inspired Mortal Kombat. Definitely deserves consideration for this list.
My most rewatched scene is the submarine combat scene towards the end of Hunt for Red October. Watch the Dallas leap out of the water still gives me chills!
Die Hard, the whole movie.
Yes!
@@WatchMojoLady Glad you agree. I've 2 cousins who claimed to have seen it close to 200 times.
Die Hard has a lot of intense moments, man.
Yippy-ki-yay motherfuckers.
@Pepperoni Pizza Yes, its a Christmas tradition in mine and I suppose many homes as well.
@Pepperoni Pizza Plus Die Hard 2, with snow, Christmas in the airport, drug lords, and mercenaries.
Does Troy count as an action movie? Cause Hector vs Achilles fight was epic.
@President Camacho Thanks man. 👍🏼
Absolutely.
It wasent that epic
Yeah, though I prefer the beach head scene
@@barriolimbas Remember how Achilles took down Boagrius with a single stab?
I often watch the fight scenes in The Last Samurai on top of some of these. My most rewatched (aside from Star Wars battles) has to be the final action scene in Mad Max: Fury Road. Brilliant
I have seen the chase scene in Mission Impossible Fallout over a bilion times now, and it never gets old!
Which of them?
The Chase scene in Johnny English Reborn ( Where he follows a enemy through a building and then fights him at a Water Port). Like always loved your video
Totally agree! I need to re-watch the movie it's so much fun. Love your pfp BTW! 😍

What about the Colombiana?? Its got a lot of chasing sequence, when she was a young girl and also in the prison when she kill a guy plus the final battle.
More power to you for having specific favorites (I've got plenty myself), but I have to ask: how many action movies have you seen overall? To me, Colombiana blends into the ever-growing mass of hyper-edited films that feature an abundance of chase and fight sequences, and to really stand out in that field pretty tough with all the competition.
In brief, if Point Break, District B13, and the entire Jason Bourne franchise aren't even mentioned on this list (not to mention other Luc Besson products like Leon or The Transporter), Colombiana doesn't have a chance.
You got a point, I've seen the Prison break and Jason Bourne Franchise, columbiana is in low point but still by far good for me, well i have some few action movie i want to add in there list, like Anna its got alot of action and fight seen there, and also Underworld Franchise have good action sequence. Plus Resident evil Franchise too, Dont forget the Project power also loaded of chasing and fight scene.. :)
Good one!
I love some good action movies and seen most of those. I don't usually re-watch scenes but they are glorious 💗
When I first watched Casino Royal, I couldn’t help but to laugh so much after Bond literally broke through the wall in the middle of a foot chase. I still do. 😂
I'll never get tired on rewatching Brendan Fraser throwing a chair on Benny's back in The Mummy.
I love that scene also
@President Camacho well well well let me guess, spring cleaning?
@@potatomatop9326 I'm just curious and I don't know if you thinking about the same thing but how many times did it took Brendan Fraser to nail between Benny's legs?
I watch the final fight between Decker and Roy Baty in “Bladerunner.”:)
The opening chase in "Beverly Hills Cop" just never gets old. Partly because of the Pointer Sisters "Neutron Dance".
Oh yes! 💯
I absolutely love the fight sequence in The Chinese Connection with Bruce Lee where he visits the Japanese dojo. Jet Lee remade the movie and his take on that scene was phenomenal as well.
The bathroom fight scene from The Bourne Supremacy and the final fight scene from Taken are two of my personal favourites.
There was a scene in Jet Li's movie "Fist of Legend" that I had to watch and rewatch multiple times.
Legend of fist
The blood club fight in Blade--best soundtrack for a fight scene as well
I'd agree with #1 only because I've re-watched The Matrix no less than 19 times. WatchMojo's lists are improving.
Say hello to my little friend
Scarface
The actual end of Matrix, when it's revealed he is The One, thats the best scene
You have forgot the Kung fu hustle's last scene, stephen chow's fight with that frog guy
Exactly what a was about to say
An honorable mention could be the train fight scene in From Russia with Love. A simple, brutal fight, well shot and realistic. And Bond almost loses, only managing to survive by surprising his opponent with a hidden knife, before killing him with his own garrote.
1998 Blade, the disco scene, techno music included
I honestly can't get enough of any of the war scenes in Hacksaw Ridge. Far and away my favorite movie
I watched that movie and battle scene at least 5 times.
The raid movies, 2 of them if I'm recalling, are essentially multi hour action sequences with very few breaks in between.
Mostly in confined spaces, chopping between hand to hand, blades, bat's and other objects, and ofcourse firearms.
A non stop action ride which i highly recommend to anyone who hasn't watched them.
